Guided tours on walkways and by boat through UNESCO subterranean caves, open March to September.
Had a great trip here today. Guided by Tomas he was brilliant especially with the children. Very knowledgeable and kept everyone entertained and educated. Brilliant end to the summer holidays. Very professional staff. Thanks for a memorable day for all
These caves are stunning and the tours were very professional. The visitor centre and car park are very modern and there are picnic benches for lunch.
I should say that I have visited the Upside Down world 😲 this place is unique and I enjoyed the walking tour, learning about stalactites & stalagmites. Kudos to our amazing tour guide, Kieran I give you 5 stars for being so dedicated and ensuring our safety from start to finish.Buy your tickets online. It’s £12 per Adult. On-site you’ll pay £13.50. Great day out for kids and the whole fam. There is a café in the visitor centre. There is so much to learn during the tour and I would definitely go back.I highly recommend this place.
A very nice place to visit, its a must if you are in the area. Full guided tour that lasts 75mins cost for adults 13.50 pounds. It is well worth it, because the tour starts with the boat ride through the underground river that lasts around 10 mins. After that its a nice walk through the caves to see thousand year old rock formations. All overall recommended spot for the family.
Very nice show caves. There is a quick boat trip at the start of the caves for access, but the rest of the route is by foot. The only challenging bit is the steps at the end, but this is not too severe. Our guide was gareth, who was knowledgeable and polite during the tour. There is a gift shop, toilets and a reasonably priced small cafe on site. Car parking is free also.
Great place for family. Kids was really exited. Its about one hour walking plus 5 minutes on boat inside the cave.
What a place!!!! Absolutely incredible! Kids all loved it! Especially the boat ride. Dont forget to take a jacket, even in this heat its pretty chilly down there! Our tour guide was brilliant, and despite a obviously poorly/sore throat she did a wonderful Job! Thank you!
Fab experience, great guides and so inexpensive compared other tourist activities. Recommended.
Loved the caves, had a lovely young lady who was very knowledgeable on the caves unfortunately I cant recall her name.. Definitely advice a visit..
The best part is you can go on a boat in the cave. There is a shop and a small café.
Great value experience for the family. A fair amount of walking and steps but my 5 year old didnt have any problems with keeping up.
The Marble Arch caves are a fascinating and must see attraction. Jordan, our guide, was brilliant and even though the steps out were knackering we had a great time.
Really cool look into subterranean earth. The underground river boat trip was not available on my trip( due to high water levelsbut it was still a blast.
Took my Grandchildren and friends down the Caves today, everyone really enjoyed the Event and a brilliant learning experience for the young ones. We were warmly greeted at reception by Dawn and then a young lady called Caragh took our tour, she provided us with a wonderful experience and took time to answer questions as the wee ones were soaking up all the info. We had a beautiful lunch and superb service at the Cafe. The wee ones played around after lunch. Overall great day out. Also excellent booking system online. Strongly recommend for a wonderful experience.
Fantastic place, must be in your "must to visit" list. The guide was fantastic, thanks for the information and great answers to our questions. The air is heavy and humid, you may get dizzy or out of breath.
A must-see... jaw dropping experience. I have booked the tickets online. There was ample car park space. There was a cafe (very good sandwiches/coffee & toilet. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was so much of information displayed in the centre before you enter the cave. There was also a theatre which explains well of this geopark. Upon entering the cave there is a water-body, a boat is used of this. Travelling in the boat inside the cave was a wonderful experience. We spent nearly 75 minutes inside the cave. Our guide explained the cave formation very much in detail. Please note the cave maintains an average temp of 10°C all throughout the year. Will highly recommend
Daniel our tourguide was excellent very clear at speaking funny too we really enjoyed our day out fabulous place to visit also a bonus was the boat ride through the cave so beautiful
Good tour, took around 30/45mins, caves are great and tickets are reasonably priced.
Very interesting tour. A little over an hour and the staff were well informed
Good tour, guide provided lots of information unlike this review.
Amazing time exploring this Cave! The chambers are so impressive & the reflections in the pools will make your head spin. Thanks to our tour guide Megan for all the fun facts. Shame the boat ride wasnt running (Covid 19). A walk through Claddagh Glen afterwards is a great addition.
Very good experience, lots of steps and walking. Facilities are clean and inviting. Reasonable prices.
Interesting site. Tour was good but a bit difficult to hear at times. Nice cafe on site, helpful staff n visitor’s center.
Please visit this!!We did not book in advance but phoned to check if needed to. We did not spend much time in the cafe/information area or gift shop as we only had a 15 minute wait but the caves are stunning. I have not heard all these caving terms before and the explanations were all clear. Lots of walking but thats all good. Mind blowing to think it was discovered by those with basic tools!
Wonderful experience and lovely tour guide- Chris I think was his name. Very funny and informative. He made the tour super interesting! Some families on the tour with children who were shouting a lot so we had to make sure we were always close to the tour guide to hear what he was saying. Other than that was a great experience!
A superb few hours out for everyone that is able. Captivating for all, even the kids. Spectacular underground views of Caves & rock formations. Guided tours are a must and well worth the money.Be sure to take the short walk before or after the tour to the rear of the visitor centre. This takes you to where the cavers originally entered the Caves in the late 1800s & made the discovery.Picnic benches set up for all weathers under tarpaulins along this walk, such a great idea for the NI weather.
Didnt manage to join the tour, but took a walk in the external cave. Very nice place.
Had a great time at marble arch caves on Easter Sunday...kids loved it..Will defo be back when boat is open again!!!
We had a great time at Marble Arch caves. Our guide Jordan was excellent. He said the boat tours should be returning soon. We enjoyed the short walk from the visitors centre too. Lovely cafe. A great day out and everyone was very friendly.
Marble Arch Caves was really nice, the staff were very helpful and accommodating, tour guide was informative, only issue was that the tour felt slightly rushed, as there was a booking every 15 minutes, mightve been better having a tour every 20 - 30 minutes, other than that it was fine, wee cafe there too, toilets and plenty of parking
Such a cool experience with friends ! The guide was very informative and friendly! Cant wait to come back with the kids !
The stunning Marble Arch Caves made for the event of a lifetime for us at Wilde Dining.Thank you to the amazing team for the expert knowledge and support
Beautiful experience of natures hidden treasures.Book your visit in advance. Car parking is abundant. You will be climbing 150 steps down, walk about 1 kilometre and climb back 150 steps. Kindly be cognizant of this if you experience mobility issues. There is a cafe available onsite for quick bites and coffee. Gift shop prices are decent.
Great fun, definitely recommend this cave. Might be abit too much steps for very little one or elderly but otherwise it was fantastic.
Lovely experience the boat that usually bring you through the caves wasnt available due to covid restrictions however tickets remained the same price 😬🙄 ..
Amazing experience.. we missed the boat tour due to high level of water. would like to visit again..
Great spot we really enjoyed the guided tour who was very informative, knew his stuff, pity boats werent available due to the heavy rain, but we will be back to go on them
An interesting thing to do. Very well put together visitor experience. Worth the £10 per adult for the hour long guided tour.Would like to go again to experience the boat ride into the caves when Covid restrictions are lifted on them.Enjoyed the fun facts we learned and an hour was a perfect time to spend down there. Not as cold as I thought they might be though we were well wrapped up with hats and gloves. Beautiful caves with plenty of stalactites and some stalagmites many of which have been given fun names. (No spoilers though- take the tour!)
This was a fantastic unexpected trip, on the day we planned to do the Stairway to Heaven the weather pushed us inside and were delighted it did. The caves are definitely 110% worth a visit, you wont be disappointed!! Due to the weather and time of year we were lucky enough to end up with just the 2 of us on our tour and our guide Chris couldnt have been better. He literally knows the caves inside out and was full of knowledge about the history of them and the area. If youre near definitely go!! Theres a gift shop, information on the history of the caves and cafe inside to check out before or after too. Fantastic spot!
Fantastic caves. Quite a few steps but theyre not all in one go and theres no need to rush.Guided tour (our guide was Ben an he was great).Well lit and no lights out moment for those scared of the dark (double check though before booking, if thats an issue for you).We couldnt do the boat ride because of the covid restrictions but that didnt spoil the experience.Im not posting the best pics as to not spoil it for folks.
Excellent experience - Jordan our guide was brilliant - knowledgeable & entertaining. The caves themselves are (as alwaysawe inspiring & beautiful.
Great thing to do with kids, especially on a bD day as its mostly underground. very interesting place and a well run facility... couldnt do the boat ride because its impossible to social distance and some of the above ground walk ways were closed off (outside of the operators controlhopefully more stuff will be open in the spring / summer.. even with the closures we still had lots of fun.
Great guided tour and gorgeous countryside. While the tour is shortened because of the pandemic (and only 10 per tour allowedthe guides are super excited to be back to work and answering all our mundane questions. Note that the small tours leave every 15 minuted but it means that they fill up fast and you have to plan ahead (book tickets on website if you can). Be prepared for about 150 stairs - and the natural damp of the cave. Otherwise, bring a camera and maybe a good flashlight for even better photos.
Fantastic to see the caves but would have been better if you got more time for photos. Seemed a bit rushed through the tour. But fantastic place. There is steps leading down into the caves with handrails for support . if you need to get a breather on the way back out say to the guide and he’ll be fine with that. Entrance fee is £10. Take a light jacket with you for it can get cold walking through the caves.
Facilities are well kept and plenty of parking. Tour itself was good, we were unable to do the boat part due to social distancing which was a pity but out of there control. Tour guide was very good and informative. Well worth a look
Nicest caves I have visited this year. Very well organized tours and you get right up close to the formations. Unfortunately, the boat tour was not available. That would have really made it special.
Great for the family as long as they can walk a distance and do stairs. Historical information about the grounds and caves. The staff were very knowledgeable.
A great experience! Very informative guides. Even if the boat part of the tour if not on the guides make sure you still cover the same parts of the tour so you don’t miss a thing. Small groups mean booking is essential so make sure to do this days before you visit to ensure you get the times you want. Not to miss!
We found the visit interesting and informative. The guide was great and fun, explaining with detail story of the caves and some fun facts. The facilities include a dinning area where you can have a few different sandwiches, soup, coffee and even a variety of cakes. Theres also a shop and clean toilets.Theres a big car park in very good condition.
Would recommend a visit. The guided is good value as lasts for just over 1 hour and guides are local, informative and well prepared. Visitor Centre has a cafe, shop, toilets and small exhibition. Cave walk is in place of pre covid boat tour. Bring a coat as temperature in cave is about 10c and damp. It is a remarkable engineering achievement and you wont regret visiting
