Marassi - in Al `Alamayn, Egypt
Overall a good experience, place is really nice, high season is a mess !! A great luxurious place to spend some days off
Amazing all around ❤️
Best place at north coast for vacation and summer vibes ❤️
It is very wonderful place I love it
Place was amazing, pools were heated and the water was heavenly, beach was nice, a lot of good restaurants, aqua park was good but not really worth the 855 price tag, the marina was lovely so were the other hangout places, overall it was a 10/10
Overpriced, Overrated.. the only thing we liked about it as tourists are the beautiful blue water and the white sands.Oh, forgot to mention it is too difficult to get around unless you have a QR code and go through multiple check points..weird
No.chance even to get inside even with resturants availability
Best on the north coast far away from the land but safe and secure all Egyptians bo foreigners or tourists expensive it with high money value it is elite but conservative not accepting public kissing between men and women like it but just go once in a year the highway is good in the day tome dont go at night ever keep your phone charged and book your room ahead of trips
Way too many restrictions that kill the vibe. You can’t go to the beach at night, you can’t swim in the pool past 7pm, you can’t sit on benches in marina after all restaurants close. It makes no sense as owners, you spend millions for a villa but you are very limited with what you can do. Security constantly harassing you for every small inconvenience you make, the freedom is not here even though it should be number one priority as long as you don’t hurt or effect anybody.
Too many gates, a bit silly but safe,Wonderful streets, great views,
Highly over rated nice restaurants but expensive beyond reason
Extremely busy on weekends. Beach is very far and only a small area to swim in. Over priced and over hyped.
One of the worst places to go out in Sahel, a lot of restrictions, a lot of inconvenient rules in addition to rude and bumptious staff everywhere
Thanks for nice days,in this pretty small hotel.we was enjoy or time there.Special thanks for housekeeping manager Mr.Momen and all service guys in this hotel.they was so kind, friendly and so helpful.also for the security of this gentle place.
Best place in north coast especially marina it has a lot of international restaurant and very good vibes 😎
An overly "perfect" place that lacks authenticity totally. Make sure you dont get injured or need any ER for youre gonna have to spend thousands of pounds for something that literally shouldnt cost a 100.
Amazing place, it has every thing you need for a beach getaway. It’s a nice place to stay at if you are with your friends or your family.
No wards can describe the beatty of this place must see 1st
Wonderful place please visit
A cesspool of stuck up brats and people with too much money and too little manners. Overcrowded and over-rated
Amazing resort with all the amenities you could need for a summer vacation. While the resort is very family friendly, not a single bathroom I entered in the entire resort had a changing table. For the “men” designing these compounds, that what you put a baby on to change their diapers. No, they don’t only belong in women’s bathroom only, they can be placed in mens bathrooms as well or create a family bathroom. Other than that, outstanding place
Crowded, other than that is a pleasant experience.
Everything is luxurious , however its annoying for owners to invite their friends & relatives. They should send them QR codes everytime & everywhere inside Marassi, even on the same day. Also how come an owner cant even take his siblings with their families to the beach. So many restrictions which makes the place inconvenient for many.
A perfect place to chill out
Best destination for vacations.Best bay to swim and to live the Luxurious life style
Sedra restaurant in front of it in SahelVery nice food
Too much security for no reason.
Very detail-oriented design and landscaping.Beach is profoundly clean and well maintained as well as the lakes.Greenery is pleasant, very well kept and trimmed.Very secure compound and strict security checks! You need an owner’s pass to enter everything which is a great thing if you’re an owner.Mix community and judgment-free.Villas and penthouse designs are great on the outside but interior design is a bit off especially in the entrance and kitchen spacing.Family-friendly and group-friendly as well.Paved roads with speed bumps for speed control which guarantees safety for pedestrians especially children.Golf carts available for pickup and drop off through arranged calls and with a fee (a bit much tbhcleaning fees are also a bit too much tbh so if you can get a cleaner to help out with you or a resident one would be much more efficient.Fairly empty during June which is probably the best time to visit if you’re not into too much crowding.
Marassi have the most outstanding landscape in the whole Egyptian beach industry … the hotel Alamein is world class … the security is very tight … chapeau
Such an artificial place. Bad for owners as they cant invite their family and friends to the beach, bad for investors as rental process is quite complicated, and bad for tenants as they are treated as second class people who are allowed to enter one (badbeach only and declined any access to the the two (goodbeaches. Theres almost nothing to do in the evening. Hell of money for no real value!
I was incredible hotel house the bathrooms are awesome and clear and there a poop & sea there I love it
I visited in October and all of Maraasi is closed except for Al Almein Hotel. Except for the said hotel, all shops, malls and utilities are closed. October is a warm month in Egypt and they term it an off-season as if it is covered in 6 feet of snow. The empty vibe of the town was very good however, but the few people living there have no access to any kind services or utilities or groceries. Also, they opened Marassi Marina in the summer of 2021, but it is nowhere close to completion. Still under construction. They "opened" it for a false air of business strategy.
They take care of every little detail in this place and it also has incredible sceneries. Its just filled with life I love it!
Maassi (مآسي), which means ‘tragedies’ in Arabic, is the name that this compound deserves instead of Marassi. On the positive side the infrastructure is world class with wonderful landscaping. The rest is a tragedy. From deafening construction that does not stop during the summer season, against declared policy, to mismanagement of entry to the compound that creates car queues that would leave you trying to enter to home for more than an hour and passing by the most ignorant, arrogant and least service-oriented staff imaginable you will be left with a miserable summer experience that looks posh but treats you like a dog. Think you can go to the beach after paying millions of dollars to own a house there? Think again. Either the exaggerated but malfunctioning technology that is used for no good reason will make your entry experience a misery or the ever changing haphazard rules will. I paid to have guest cards for beach entry but when I go with guests it is either Eid or a weekend (like normal human-being halidaysor system-down-day and I am asked to enter alone and leave my guests outside. Makes you reflect on how technology should be kept away from companies like Emaar in Egypt with management that misses that the essence should using technology to make things easier, more enjoyable and safer. Avoid Emaar as a developer at all costs and definitely avoid Maassi, sorry Marassi.
not as you expecteverywhere is limited by accesssea entry is a big dealnice swimming pools/ lagoonsoverrated/expensive experience plus some of the staff are impolite and rude and should be fired specially on the beach gatesnot a guest friendly environment even if you are with owners sometimes you cant enter the beach which is not even worthy and water is not good there
Great place for owners and guests of owners. Weekends are heavily crowded. Only 1 beach open for guests and renters on the weekends. Rest of the week fine. Although renters are limited where they can visit. Everything needs a pass, including supermarkets. 3 main beaches and several lagoons. But again renters have limited access.
It is one of the biggest compounds with a lot to do inside. You have to be a resident or renting though to be able to get in
Awesome place to spend a vacation beautiful architecture and landscape is the best, beaches are very nice and unique , however therere too many restrictions
Laxury life style in there, you cant get inside unless you have an invitation, or you own chalet, its very nice place.
Super hotel at a very nice spot on the coast in Egypt. Great breakfast and nice restaurants.Service of the staff is very slow. Due to a large wedding we had to wait for 45 min for a glass of wine, starter did not come for 2 people and the dinner and starter for 1 person came at the same time. The other 2 diners came with the rest of the food but the stakes where well done in stead of medium. They promised they will.do better in the future!!The rest of the staff is very friendly, the rest of the service is great.
Nice and clean environment, golf cars are not properly controlled and result in safety hazard especially when driven by youngsters. When visiting someone you need to either obtain a bar code on your mobile from the owner or the owner in person should meet you at the gate to be allowed inside.
Very nice. Very well organized. Maximum security: at entrance, at the beach and in the mall, you cannot enter without membership card. Only one beach was operating ( I was there on June 5).They told us the other beach will be operating starting June 15.
It’s a great place where you can enjoy your summer vacation, however from a personal perspective the architecture of the project makes me feel as if I am still in Cairo or a big city not a summer get away
I may be biased as an owner but I consider it best location at Sahel. Nice sandy beaches and wonderful crowd. Much better this year due to gate restrictions. Many restaurants with wide varieties. Lots of kids and adults activities. On the need for improvement side buggies need to be more controlled to avoid noise and avoid any accidents.Keep up the good work Marassi management.
Easily the best resort Ive been to in the North Coast. Despite the extremely expensive price, you do get the value of all the money you spend there. Had an unforgettable time there. Highly recommend it
Amazing experience but as a guest you dont really have the freedom to do many things so it wasnt as carefree as it should have been. Unless you own a property you dont have access to a lot of the facilities which is unfortunate. Otherwise the weather was great and the restaurants in the compound were very good. Would definitely recommend, just make sure the property owner is with you when you go out if youre not already an owner.
A huge compound. You may say its a private little town. The design is very good. Management is professional and the place is clean. Pets are not allowed at the beach or at the Club house. Generally I was very impressed.
Fancy, trendy, nice layout and well maintained, the Beach is mainly targeting the young and energetic hip generation.Ideal for couples and groups of young hearted people from teenagers to Golden age 😉, and it serves great as a getaway for hip married couples who might want to have some time alone or with friends, while the kids (if anyare held busy at the other activities, nearby.Even though they have amazing watersports center, and a creative and well trained animation team and child activity center, it is probably not the best option for actual family quality time.
Located in Egypts North Coast. A gated community that offers second homes ownership for those who wish to spend their summers by the Mediterranean. It is an upscale development. Consists of apartments villas and upscale villas by the sea. It has a small shopping mall. It is well maintained and clean. It is child friendly and has a bike lane.
We keep on returning over and over again...Apart from being a family ritual to visit every year for over 50 years, the young generations have fallen in love with it as much as we did...The hotel has given the villas a complete make-over from the inside...new interior designing, furniture and appliances all adding to the comfort of your stay.I would highly recommend going there if you really want to disconnect and recharge...Though hotel rooms are nice, I recommend going as a group and booking the 6 Room Villa....cook your own food and enjoy nature.
