Maplewood Burgers Sulphur in Sulphur

Drove a hour to eat here and it didnt disappoint. My husband would brag about these burgers hed get when he was working on a job over in sulfer. So one day we took the drive and HOLY MOTHER OF EVERYTHING best dang burgers Ive ever had. May I say even better then my mawmaws 🫢 I was in heaven. You know its good when when its super messy & they definitely dont skimp on toppings or sauce. 🤤 Dont pass up this hole in the wall burger spot.

We ordered a stuffed crawfish burger and its so good ... Quick stop by from a long drive and it did not disappoint. Marina is so nice and accommodating. Will surely stop by again.

The burgers have Power. They wrap their burgers neatly in foil and it really helps keep the burger hot. When you add a fried egg, you get one on the top and bottom of the burger. The spicy sauce is a little sweet on the front with the sourdough bun, then has a nice kick of heat on the back. This burger beats the pants off of other competitors in the area. Go getcha one!

Well it was road tripping weekend with mom and I then we have to have the debate about where to eat at. After an hour we finally decided on burgers. We I explained to mom when I visit a town I love trying local establishments. Now dont be alerted when you see its not like your normal burger joint. Its actually burger joint and convenient store. The image that caught my eye on Google was this magical milkshake I saw on the photos. I know its about the burgers but this shake was something out of diabetics Nightmare but it was delicious. Image a glass with the outside coated with chocolate icing with oreos and chips ahoy cookies. But the inside of the glass is coated with fudge and filled with chocolate ice cream with more cookies and whip cream with caramel on top. I paired this sweet goodness with a bacon stuffed burger and fries. Lets just say I was in a food coma driving back to Texas.

We were originally heading to a place that wound up being closed, so we got on Google and just started searching. Came across this little place and decided to try it out. When you first get there you may 2nd guess your decision.. DONT! GO IN AND ORDER! The burgers were SO GOOD! We got the stuffed brisket and the Mac n cheese burgers. The Mac n cheese has got some spice to it, but not bad. They were both very good! Later we went back and got shakes and they were very good as well. The people were very nice. We would definitely come back!

Just stopped in an hour ago based on reviews. Definitely not the kind of place that I would ever order from but pleasantly surprised. The Cajun burger was good for hubby who loves spicy burgers and kids loved the milkshake!Definitely try it and the staff was very personable

We found this place on Yelp. It is absolutely worth it!! Unbelievable burgers and great service! Marini, Murry, and Kylie were awesome! We had the stuffed Mac/cheese burger, stuffed boudin burger, and the Cajun Heat burgers. The sweet potato fries and honey mustard combo are outstanding also! Don’t be fooled by the convenience store appearance, this is the original Maplewood!! We’ll be back!

Tried the “Bueno” burger with two fried eggs on a jalapeño bun. The ability to customize your burger and all the additional toppings available gives you countless combinations. Wanna stuff your burger with shrimps? They got you… you said crawfish? Yup, they can stuff your burger with them too.The fries are crunchy and fresh. Did I mentioned they have blue bell ice-cream AND homemade shakes!I’ll have one of their cinnamon s’more milkshakes on my next visit; right now I’m stuffed!!!Overall great place and the staff is pretty friendly and engaging.Y’all gotta give it a try!!!!

Best burgers in Louisiana. We were traveling through Sulphur and read about this place. They are right, it is small but the flavors and the size of the burgers are huge. The service was wonderful and we will go again soon

Excellent food and wonderful service. We had our family go into this restaurant and it was small BUT wow the burgers were awesome. They are so big and there were a lot of fries also. I would recommend this place to everyone because Merlina and Murray we extremely nice.

Found our new burger stop! Maplewood has a great menu of stuffed burgers, wraps, a solid kid menu and drool-worthy shakes. The staff was friendly, highly attentive and passionate about their food. They accommodated special requests and we left stuffed!

Personally I love the hangover burger it’s perfect when you don’t want to choose between lunch and breakfast.But when I don’t feel like having brunch I always have the barbecue brisket Burger it is absolutely a burger worth killing for.In fact that sounds really good right now. So let me tell you about this OG A+ Maplewood burger joint... First of all, do not judge a book by its cover but by the taste in this case. Secondly, the customer service was amazing; Murry, Laura, Marina were all super friendly and fun people. In addition, the menu is like the Willy Wonka of burger joints; so many ways to customize a burger. Lastly, the taste was unbelievable. I feel like my taste buds were just born. It is a bit pricey but 1000% worth it. Try ASAP!!!

Look, if you dont stop at this spot youre missing out. Dont let the convenience store fool you. Id be lying if I told you the food wasnt amazing. I had a stuffed BBQ brisket burger with the works and even added a fried egg.Mari, Murray and Laura took care of us. Highly recommended this spot.

After 4 hours of driving through pouring rain, we were starved & stressed. Maplewood Burgers popped up as nearby and well-rated so we got off the highway to find this little hole in the wall restaurant. Nicest group of folks welcomed us, i had a veggie burger in a tortilla - wrapped and lightly grilled - excellent even though I forgot to ask them to hold the cheese. Alan had a burger on Texas Toast with fries (yummy!). A welcome spot to decompress and have a good lunch with very friendly folks.

Maplewood Burgers are absolute delight! The portions are enormous in size and in flavor. You are always greeted with a smile and exellent service extends all the way until you leave the facility. A must to taste.

I ate there a few months ago Burgers is so good I live an hour and a half from there And seriously thinking about driving there just to eat lunch on a Saturday. It’s that good!!!

Hidden gem in the Sulphur, LA area. If you want to treat get the stuffed Mac and Cheese burger add bacon and cajun kick sauce AND the homemade jalapeño sourdough bread. *chefs kiss*

If you find yourself passing thru Louisiana and you get a craving for an amazing burger, stop in at Maplewood Burgers. You wont be disappointed. We stopped at the original Sulphur location and met some really nice people working the counter and grill. They were obviously very proud of their food, and told us all about the restaurant locations in Lake Charles and Lafayette. The Sulphur location is an ice house with minimal seating, but it was fine for us traveling thru to Florida. If we lived in Louisiana, I think we would be regulars.

Amazing food! Loved their burgers; I got the mushroom and swiss stuffed burger and it was just fantastic. Worth every penny and I definitely recommend it. This is one of those easily overlooked places but make sure you go 👍

Dont be fooled by the convince store and think your not gonna get great service and an unbelievable food. This burger joint is 5 stars all the way around, so if your in sulphur la and looking for great food, I would highly recommend this place, they have breakfast as well. And the people are so sweet.

Amazing does not do it justice. The presentation, combinations and spice make this the absolute best burger I have ever had. The fries are perfect. This is the best example of a hidden gem.

Best stuffed burger I have ever had, the shake only added to the flavor of the burger. I got the brisket stuffed burger, it was so big I had to half it with my daughter-in-law! We also had the most awesome sweet potato fries. I highly recommend this place!!

Driving back from a road-trip and saw that this was one of the only places only. Let me tell you right now stop here for a burger! Marina’s customer service is great and the food tastes so good. 10/10 recommend

Marina , introduced me to this amazing sauce known as the “Kick Sauce” the stuffed burger I ordered was presented to me with this sauce that my taste buds were unaware of. Upon tasting this sauce, my mouth watered into a sweet and spicy sensation that left me speechless. Manny, the person who encouraged me to order the kick sauce , was an amazing employee and he was very respectful! He took his cooking experience to the next level by showing some TLC, and literally completed the order in a timely manner. I am very happy and excited to return and try a different burger off the menu ! The kick sauce is going to have to be a must too!! Thank you guys so much for the experience!!!

Holy Moly! What a treat this was! We had the BBQ brisket stuffed hamburger with caramelized onions and pepper jack cheese on jalapeño sourdough bread! Amazing! I’ll be trying the crawfish stuffed one next! Do not miss this-

I ordered the Cajun Kick Burger with bacon on jalepeno sour dough with large loaded fries.Burger is delicious - nice heat, well dressed and assembled. Fries are awesome, with generous amount of cheese and bacon.Only mistake I made was getting the large fries instead of regular size.Its a LOT of food.Staff was friendly and courteous.This is definitely on my list to revisit next time I am in town.

Dont judge a book by its cover.This convenience store/restaurant makes good burgers.Ive been here over a dozen times now, and everytime I go the team is friendly and provides great customer service.Especially Ms. Marini.She is always pleasant and willing to fix my order to my specific preferences. In fact, her consistency is one major reason why I keep going back time and time again, because I know when shes in, Im going to get exactly what I ordered.To boot, the food taste good.The prices are reasonable.And they have a rewards program through their own Maplewood Burgers app.In spite of all these positives, my only gripe is that they dont have a location in Texas. But maybe one day soon.All in all, Maplewood Burgers is a great choice for the quality of food, service, and price.

Great service but the food was okay. Was not super impressed with the burger and the onion rings were overly greasy. The wings were excellent.

Never had a burger quite like this. We had the cheese and philly steak stuffed burgers. Very messy, cheese everywhere. Eat them fast or they will get soggy. We ate every bite. They are absolutely delicious. The seasoned fries are a little spicy for the kids, but we absolutely loved them. Will return next time in town.

Just left the one on Maplewood in Sulphur (the original?and it was fantastic. At the table we all shared the Boudin, shrimp, and bacon stuffd burgers, and they were all amazing. Best seasoned fries Ive ever had. I need the kicking sauce in jugs to take home. And the people were awesome.At first I was turned off that its literally just a convenience store with a burger counter, but I shouldve known thats where they hide the best food. Love this place.

Friend and I shared burgers. I got the El Bueno which is chorizo, seasoned potatoes, onions, and cheese. My friend got the Italian. Italian sausage, pepperoni, salami, and all the cheese. This is THE BURGER place. Fries are amazing and the Kick sauce is spectacular.
