Manisha's Kitchen - Indian restaurant in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
Went here for a late night snack and absolutely loved it. Had Dabeli Style Vada Pav which is must try for all Vada Pav lovers. Really tasty. Also tried Dahi Batata Puri which was awesome too. Loved the staffs too. They were about to close and were more than happy to serve what we wanted. A must try place for all Maharashtrian veg food lovers.
The thaali they served , taste was very basic, but it was not very good & charged 31 dirham Very less sabhji & curry . Really not worth.
Ok but service is so slow. About taste wise is ok
Excellent place for Maharashtrian dishes.
For a long time, I needed to try Maharashtrian nourishment and we finished up planning to this place. The awful scent when we entered the eatery. Cleanliness is exceptionally moo. all over flies are moving and the backside of the mirror cockroach is running. We requested missal pav, dabeli style vada pav, vada pav, and mini tiffin. The taste was exceptionally essential, but it was not exceptionally good And trust me it was atrocious!!! I would never donate my life any chance to undertake that again! Staff was courteous
MKs is my favorite restaurant for my cravings for pure vegetarian Brahmani Maharashtrian cuisine. Their batata wada can give a run for money to the famous Shri Krishna Vada of Dadar. The misal is simply brilliant. All the items on the menu card taste good. Their thalis are very good too. Heavenly drinks like Solkadhi, Piyush, Taak or Lassi to finish the party. Its definitely value for money for the quality of food served. One star less for their inconsistency on washroom hygiene and switching off the AC.
Since a long time I wanted to try a Maharashrian food and we ended up going to this place. The first thing the guy in the counter asked me whether I’m a Maharashtrian or not. And when I said no, then he started giving hype about the food they cook.We ordered A plate of Veg Thali, And a combo of Roti with Aloo palak which costed us 73AED and I couldn’t find those dishes he suggested to us on the menu too 🙄The taste was very basic, but it was not very good. They served us one glass of Chaas (Buttermilkwith so much of exaggerations, like you’ll go mad if you taste our Chaas! And trust me it was atrocious!!!I would never give my life any chance to try that again!!They charded us 13 AED for that too!!What a terrible! The Daal was insanely salty, Baigan (Brinjalwas so greasy and overloaded with peanut. And the Kadhi was dry!I should have known since this place had no wait and every other place had a an hour wait.We couldn’t finish our food because we were unsure of what we were eating nothing looked like what it said it was!And at last the guy refused to give us the bill also when I asked he said there’s some problem with the system. In short,SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT EAT THERE!
The kitchen staff are excellent & turn out delicious food everytime. The reception staff cum waiters seem to be busy conducting their own different businesses. Strange.
They took too long to get food and when it came it was cold and only vada was warm but am sure that warmness was coz microwave heated.Staff was polite but am sure coz of the bad quality food they serve.Really Bad experience.Over price when you compare to quality and quantity of food. 😕😕I wish I had not went their.
Amazing food, have visited this place twice in last couple of weeks... Jai Maharashtra 🤩🤩🤩
Upon reaching the place, I realized the eatery is owned and operated by an acquaintance!Niche market ... Excellent food ... had a home made feel to it. The Misal thali is a treat to a Maharashtrian / anybody who loves Maharashtrian cuisine.Good utilization of space. Great place - look forward to visit again!
Slightly over priced but I guess when it comes to authenticity, this is as close as it gets to Maharashtrian. Good overall.. enjoyed the dishes had for dinner.
This joint serves authentic Maharashtrian cuisine. They have a special menu for thali where they serve puran poli thali, Bhakri thali, Misal pav thali & others. I would recommend this place to try real Maharashtrian food. They also keep freshly made snacks & sweets such as ladoos, bhakharvadi, shev etc. The place is pocket friendly for quality food. Do try their puran poli and shev bhaji. Will visit the place soon to try out more dishes.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
Excellent service by Mr Amit pandey.very tasty and nutritious food.soft chapati in Thali packed box.starter must try sabudana vada and kothimbir vadi.overall perfect food to order for party or dine in.
Excellent service by Amit and his staff.delicious food just went down memory lane. Felt like eating food in pune. Everyone definitely try kothimber vadi and puran poli
Good authentic maharastrian food such as kothimbir vadi, vada pav, misal pav, sol kadhi, stuffed baingan and many others. They also have few take home snacks, sweets available. Definitely recommended.2nd Update.Did a carryout recently of methi aloo, chapati, vada pav, puran poli. Food taste was very good and quantity was enough for 2 people.
Maharashtrian food, the taste is good, but the quantity of food that they serve is very less, I ordered that which cost 35 aed, it just had 2 bakari and a small bowl of khichdi rice, and a bunch of curries, not enough to fill your belly, not worth at all. The taste is good but they should at least increase the quantity to normal. Small servings will not do.
Ordered food today, usal pav, kothimbir vadi, alu vadi and sabudana vada. The worst food ever. Instead of usal they gave misal which looked liked some pulses in running water with no taste. The other food was seems to be cooked in hurry as inside uncooked and outside burnt. I do not like to write bad review but was really disappointed as was looking forward to eat authentic usal.
One of the best Marathi resturant with complete Marathi menu highly recommended very friendly and amazing stuff special thanks too Mr. Amith for recommending some of amazing dishes in their menu
If you are craving for VEG, then this will be your destination. I am a die hard Non Veg lover but I wanted to taste authentic maharashtrian food. Manishas Kitchen gives you one of the best Veg taste in town. One should must try Rice chapati and Jhumka.Last but not the least, staffs are very well behaved.
The food was ok. But the price is too high as compared to its quantity. AED 31.50 for Bhakri Thali which is a limited thali. Also the khichdi was served in a extra small dish which is normally used to serve chutney in udipi hotels as seen in the pic. Any extra item would cost extra. Not worth it.
Poor quality food and smelly ambience. Flies around the table when we were having our food. Food served was also not hot, felt like food warmed in oven and served. The place is costly and no value for money spent.
The restaurant was smelling with some odd smell????, Food served was not hot at all. We ordered Misal Thali, the fritters were also very cold. Wont visit again with my family again. Thanks.
We dine in bhakari thali which cost 33 AED limited food. Small portion of food with two rotis and small portion of rice, with 2 curries,Dal ,bhaji, chaas and jalebi 2 pcs (limited portionextra roti will cost 4.20 AED.Quality of the food is not up to the mark. Very expensive vegeterain restaurant.
Looking For Authentic Upwas/Fasting Food & Dont Have Time To Make This Is Only Place Saving You By Being Hungary Or Else Want To Try Typical Maharashtrian Food Thecha, Tandul, Bhaji etc you can opt for. Taste varies person to person and dishes to dishes.
Amazing food. Reminds me of home. Will surely go back again
अन्नदाता सुखीभवI am a big fan of Manishas Kitchen, especially the hot jowar bhakri and yummy sabzis is refreshing. Their dishes are very light on stomach and prepared with loads of love. The portions are generous too. Highly recommend this restaurant for food lovers!!
On the food front, this is a highly over-rated restaurant. We had Misal Pav, Aamras Puri and Bhakri thali. The one star is only for Misal Pav. The rest items lacked taste and content worth consuming. The place seriously needs to keep in mind COVID consciousness, which is highly overlooked with a crammed sitting arrangement and no desire by the attendant to remind visitors.
An authentic Maharashtrian cuisine by Manisha’s kitchen.Good taste and friendly atmosphere. I got the mirchi chatni 😉 love it. We had Pithla & Bhakri, awesome. Pocket Friendly.Altogether:Good Taste: 5/5Staff: 5/5Pocket Friendly: 5/5Happiness: 5/5
Authentic Maharashtrian food, superb service, large portions and very affordable prices. The food tastes like home made food, no artificial colors added, nice ambience.Very friendly staff. One of its kind in UAE.
For authentic Maharashtrian Cuisine, this is a must place you need to visit. Its a pure vegetarian restaurant located in Al Karama area. We had their Maharashtrian Snacks Platter, Batata Jawari Thalipeethi, Dhabeli Style Vada Pav, Adrakwali Chai and Sol Kadhi. The Snacks Platter had 5 different types of snacks, all flavorful and mouthwatering. Thalipeethi is like a stuffed paratha with potatoes, onions and crushed peanuts. Dhabeli Style Vada Pav is a twist to the usual vada pav which had Dhabeli masala and the pav was toasted. Ginger tea after an awesome meal is the icing on top. Sol Kadhi is an appetizer made from coconut milk, kokum along with spices. Great after a full tummy.
Manishas kitchen serves the most authentic Maharashtrian cuisine. Its a simple, neat and well maintained place. We were a group of 6 friends and we were served with a variety of Maharashtrian dishes and everything was really flavourful. We stared with dhabeli styled Vada Pav, followed by Kothimbir Vadi. Then we were served Mini Tiffin, Kokam Serbet (Redand solkadhi (pink). Then we relished Bhakari Thali with Jowar and Rice Bhakari. We also tried the delicious pooranpoli thali and ended with steamed Modak and Ginger Tea.They also keep fresh snacks items such as bhakarwadi, laddoos, creamrolls nd many more varieties. The restaurant is quite pocket friendly and serves quality food.I highly recommend this place to try real Maharashtrian cuisine at reasonable prices.
No matter how much modern we become but when it comes to give treat to our taste buds we only think about Desi khana only .Was craving for tempting and Authentic Maharashtrian Food and my friend suggested Manishas Kitchen. It is sort of hidden Gem if you dont stay in karama or around areas. Be it a interior or food .. everything takes you in lane of Maharashtra. Their flavors are so rich and yet so earthy that it just amaze you. No heaviness no extra ghee ..you wouldn’t feel its a restaurant meal .. its like you are eating Home cooked food . This place is perfect for someone who loves to eat Maharashtrian food or even want to try your hand at it. Its absolutely delightful, freshly made & love how its served in an authentic way in steel plates that reminds us for our country. We went in a group and tried a lot of items including:Kothambir Wadi – steams & then fried muthiya made with besan & corianderMini Thali – a perfect platter of breakfast to try everything. It has a portion of poha, sabudana khichdi, batata vada, missal pav & sheeraDabeli Vada Pav – A grilled vadapav with extra ordinary flavoursKokum Serbat, Sol Kadhi & Piyush – these drinks have a unique flavor and made with love. Sol Kadhi is made of kokum & coconut milk with some garlic. Its like a blast of flavours in your mouth. Piyush is lassi with nutmeg in it. You will love it!Coming to lunch thali – we tried both the variety – one with puran poli & other with jowar & rice bhakri served with a lot of authentic maharahtrian / Konkani style vegetables, some pakode & sweets. The portion size, the price, the hospitality is really amazing and the food is freshly made to give you a homely feeling. The highlight of the afternoon was Ukadiche Modak which is a steamed sweet filled with coconut & jagerry. A must try here!Go ahead, visit them, you are going to love them!

Manisha’s Kitchen provides authentic vegetarian maharashtrian cuisine in Karama Area of Dubai. Tried their Mishal and Vada Pav; both were good. They also have variety of snacks and sweets to choose from alongwith pleasant traditional ambiance/interiors with good customer service. Must try for a change.
If wanted to try Maharastrian food - veg a good place.
One of the few (or probably the onlyrestaurant in Dubai that serves authentic Maharashtrian cuisine. And by Maharashtrian cuisine I do not mean limited to the street foods of Mumbai & Pune like vada pav and missal but also things like Puran Poli, Sol Kadhi, Zunkha Bhakar, etc.The food here is simple, soulful, and non pretentious. Love it.
Feeling like having home kind of food after decade. I am sure everyone from Maharshtra come here often. Added to my list to celebrate Maharastrian festivals. Though taste can be enhanced and fine tuned to match the taste back home also popular dish s from other part of Maharashtra can be added. I am sure they will work on it. There is room of improvement & would be really glad to see it upgrading. But worth visiting for the connect of being Maharashtrian.
Manisha’s Kitchen provides authentic and moreover affordable vegetarian maharashtrian cuisine in old town Dubai.Tried their Kotimbir Wadis, Maharashtrian mini tiffin thali; both were good.Regarding the ambiance/interiors which was decorated well by the owner, however there was some unpleasant smell which maybe due to the washroom/drain in the same premises. Recommend the management will have a look into it. Otherwise the interiors were good.Customer service: GoodRecommended 👍🏻
Good food.... Hope the service was bit faster... Half the order comes in the table and you have to wait for Long
Food Quality is good. Excellent marathi puran poli thali. Sol kadhi was tasty.zunka bhakri was adequately spiced up.Jowar bhakri was soft.Only the hygiene factor is a bit low. The wash basin area needs a lot of improvement.
Good authentic Maharashtrian varieties of snacks that can be dined anytime, reasonably priced.
Maharashtrian menu but taste not at all like Maharashtrian. Also not worth the cost.
Good Maharashtrian food restaurant. They serves almost all types of Maharashtrian food items here .During my visit to the restaurant we tried bhakri thali which is combination of various items including pithala jawar bhakri jilebi kadhi and chas and bharlela vanga (stuffed bringle etc..Food taste was good but not excellent.I also ordered bharleli bhendi (stuffed ladyfingerstaste was good.Qty of food was correct. It is very simple place ambiance is average. They have outdoor seating arrangement same can be enjoyed in winter.
Its a Maharashtrian Cuisine restaurant located in karama, ambience is good, we had ordered masala chaas, zhunka bhakar, thaalipeeth, the drinks were refreshing, the food was upto the mark, being Maharashtrian i loved the food a lot.
I tried almost all dishes here. Misal is one of my favorite. Nice place to enjoy maharashtrian food.
If you are hardcore Marathi and missing traditional indian Marathi food ,this is best place for you.You wont feel any difference in taste. They served typical Marathi menus like wangyache bharit ,bharalele wang ,zunaka bhakar,Modak, thalipith.Their breakfast and other side dishes are also good.I tried pohe ,puranpoli, misal, wangyache bharit, zunaka bhakar and sabudana khichadi.Everything was good and at very good price range .For 2:60-80 aedWalkable from metro stationMust try:Puranpoli,Zunaka Bhakar
