Are people totally clueless about real BBQ to give it even 3 stars??? The pork ribs are undercooked inside and its so dry. They claim its texas BBQ... if thats true, then Texas cant do BBQ like the Kansas or even LA. Dont even bother to order the brisket, its so dry and salty. Overpriced , far-from-US-style, imitation smoked meat... Dont pretend to call it BBQ.... If people really thought it was good BBQ at that price , then they havent eaten real BBQ or SKs BBQ fare is total horsecrap....

I was soooo pleasantly surprised at how delicious the BBQ is here.. I enjoyed the 2 meat platter w Brisket & Pulled Pork.. and gotta say the jalapeño Mac & cheese is probably the best I’ve ever eaten.. The mashed potatoes w brisket gravy was really good as well.. and idk what the slight lemon flavored sauce is that they serve on top of their grilled broccoli but it was fantastic! Totally complemented everything on my plate! Oh! Did I mention how fresh the rolls were?! Super fresh! Will definitely go again my next time in Seoul! (Itaewon 👍🏽👍🏽

Good meat good salad. The workers are friendly. The restaurant is too small, so you should call before you go.

This place had the attributes of a nice hangout. Cool tables overlooking the street. The presentation was good too, but I jsut didnt taste much smoke flavor in their BBQ.

Great briskets, short ribs and coleslaw! Two portions was definately enough for one person. Also had here one of greatest beers I have had recently, Chur Bro by Chillhops Brewing Co. from Seosan. Very nice, fresh and crispy but still strong bodied like may be expected from double IPA.International Mastercard credit/debit combination card was not supported by the card payment interface, OK POS. Definately OK for domestic cards but I would expect great.

I was looking for some good wood cooked BBQ and this place hit the spot. What a great find with an American twist, simply delicious generous selections of meat and the sauces are good as well. Hard to find, the place is tucked away, you will need to use your nose to find it. Grab a beer and enjoy!

Manimal smelled awesome as any smokehouse restaurant should, but I didnt stay to eat because they were sold out of brisket, andouille sausage, smoked bacon and the cowboy beans. I might have stuck around for the raspberry glazed ribs, but no brisket was a no go for my spouse.

This place on my knees one picture! It was freaking awesome! We had a three meat platter which was pulled pork smoked chicken and brisket with three sides. We added bacon as another meat. All of it was absolutely phenomenal. The sides were very well done I’m definitely coming back here!

Pretty good place, theyve got the smokers in plain view. The food is pretty good and reminds me of home(USA). I ordered the meat platter which came with enough food for 5. The meat is good, not quite Texas tender but good. The side dishes like the Mexican corn, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese were good too.

One of the best meals Ive had in Seoul. I like good brisket, and theirs did not disappoint. The cowboy beans were disappointing, but theyve got other sides. Ill definitely be going back.

Fun atmosphere, but hard to find. Its tucked in a back alley in Itaewon... And finding it is definitely worth it.If youre a vegetarian, you can order sides - only meats were on the main menu. The mashed potatoes, biscuits and jalapeno macaroni and cheese were really good.

Great atmosphere and nice spot on the second floor. Service was great. I ordered the brisket, ribs and broccoli. The brisket was amazing and the BBQ sauce was a good add to it. The jalapeños and pickles on the side were also perfect. The ribs had an overwhelming smoke taste as if they use liquid smoke or it could have been the raspberry glaze. Whatever it was, it was an overbearing taste without the use of the sauces. Broccoli was good with it. The portions were big as I made a full leftover meal out of it.

Interesting enough, this is the best BBQ I’ve ever had and I’ve lived in Texas and been to Tennessee. The food is so flavorful and the side items are absolutely delicious. Great place to get food with friends or order shuttle food delivery.

These guys did a great job with their food. I ordered the 3 meat combo and got the raspberry glazed spare ribs, pulled pork and brisket. The sides were green chili mac and cheese, brocolli and coleslaw. The only miss - which was huge - was the brisket. It was cold and a little dry. I am going out in a limb and saying that its due to COVID-19 since there was very little people in the restaurant and its been that way since the government pushed to level 2 and 2.5 closures. Its hard to serve great fresh food when the people arent there. I will come back again and give it another try.

Delicious food and service.Go early so you dont miss out, at least at 5pm to get the best cuts.

The best BBQ Ive had in Korea. Theres a wide variety of meat and sides too! I would highly recommend the jalapeño mac & cheese. Dont show up too late as some meals may be sold out.

This place is wonderful. Get 2 meats for a date. Upgrade the mac and cheese and add a side of slaw.Mexican street corn is 🔥.Honestly any meat is great.Buns are ite. Everything else is dope.

Food is excellent, and portions generous. Price is high for BBQ in the context of America, but to find this quality in downtown Seoul, Ill give the price a pass. Three item plate was more than I could possibly eat and I was hungry! Brisket was flavorful and moist (fat/meat ratio slightly high on fat but not bad), coffee-rubbed ribs were slightly dry but otherwise excellent, pulled pork was great, sauce was a touch spicy but tasted great. As for the sides, the green chili mac and cheese stood out. What could be better? A smaller-portion three-item plate for less money. Thats about it.

If you want awesome, American style smoker barbecue in Seoul, this is THE place to get it.It is pricey at first glance, but their portion sizes are pretty large for a Korean restaurant, on top of the quality of food. Dont skip their sides, the cheesy grits with roasted vegetables were awesome!

The taste of barbecue was really good! But I think the rib was little overcooked and dry. Didnt have a juice.. and the table was too small

Absolutely delicious! This little place will make you feel like you are in the heart of the USA eating some of the finest BBq to be had. I had the two meat plate and it was a good amount of food. The only reason I knocked it down a star was for price, but Im also not sure what it takes to run that fabulous restaurant out here either so if they are priced correctly for everything then its a 5 for sure. It is a bit small so be ready for that and you need to go down the side alley to get there so be on the lookout but well worth it. Not far from Seoul Military base.

Good old American barbeque in Seoul. I’ve been coming here for a few years now and also have done catering before. The food is great. Some of the staff is unfriendly and the experience can be bad on those days so keep that in mind. I usually have been a fan of ribs and pulled pork, but recently discovered that the chicken is also great. Give each one of them a shot if you get the 3 meat platter.

Awesome place to go eat! The chicken was cooked really well, so was the pulled pork and pork ribs! All the sides had there own signature taste(Very good as well)! Little bit of a price to pay for a meal but again it is a BBQ Restaurant and the coolest thing about the place is they offer military discount for those serving which requires an ID of course but yea very satisfied with place and the food. The staff were also very nice,helpful, and always watching out for what the customers needed. Only gave 4 star due to pricing but Will definitely be back again!

Excellent flavored BBQ. Restaurant smelled great as well and staff were friendly. Recommend sharing a BBQ platter if there are 2 of you, plenty of food. Only downside was limited seating and some of the meats/sides were not as warm as I would have liked.

Update, revisited after about a year. Going to have to drop a star as this time the brisket was kind of dry. The highlight of the meal was actually the grilled vegetables and grits side dish. I kind of just wanted a big bowl of that and dive in...so good!----‐This place is well worth the price! It just might be the best western barbecue place I have ever been to as of yet...Did not expect to find something this good in Seoul. The meats are cooked perfectly, they are juicy and flavorful. The sides are good too, but I would suggest to the owner to change the green chili mac to maybe bacon and cheese mac, as all the food have a sweet flavor, the bitterness of the green chili makes it taste extra bitter.Oh by the way this place is on the second floor and you have to walk down a narrow alley and up a skinny meal stairway to reach the entrance...I was really skeptical that this was the entrance at first as it seemed really sketchy but once your inside it has a nice atmosphere but it is a relatively small restaurant with limited seating.

The pulled pork with onion pickles was the highlight. The coffee rub pork ribs was good too, but a tad bit dry for me. You can taste the smokiness in the meat which is great. The sides were all good, especially the charred broccoli. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was casual and cost.

Amazing! Ive enjoyed mind blowing BBQ in Austin TX and Manimal was on par! We devoured the three meat plate after a long day exploring the city. Super great value and fabulous quality.

Best place I have ever eaten in Korea. Sweet tea (real sweet tea, Southerners). Staff is courteous. Food is mind-blowing.

I used to live just a 3-minute walk from where Manimal Smokehouse resides. If the restaurant was around while I was living there, Id probably be a regular customer and much, much heavier.On a trip back to visit family, we made our usual pilgrimage to some of our favourite and some new BBQ spots. This one was a new one for us, but it came with many great reviews so we were willing to give it a go.I was very pleased with the quality of our entire meal. It wasnt busy when we got there and we had our pick of the smaller seating area to devour this meaty goodness. Im someone who usually loves a good brisket and will pass on the sausages, but Ive got to say that the Manimal sausages are some of the tastiest Ive had anywhere. If in doubt, grab the meal with a little bit of everything and then you can double down on your favourites the next time you visit.Next time, Im in Seoul. Ill be visiting Manimal again :)

Great American bbq retreat in the Itaewon area of Seoul! You can order between several meat options and then you get a choice of sides. They also have beer on tap and mixed drink specials. The prices are expensive, but decent for Seoul. You can get pulled pork, ribs, chicken etc and sides include things like Mac and cheese, coleslaw, and beans! Everything is cooked well and I never had a bad meal there!

I loved it. Great combination and ambience in a great multi cultural part of town. Tried the beef, the chicken, highlight, the spare pork ribs, everything was delicious and fineness to my our wish. Recommended, try the food, good vibe, cool place sitting in one of the best Seoul neighbourhoods.

Ordered the pulled pork, smoked chicken, cheese stuffed sausage, grits and veggies, macaroni, and broccoli. Everything was amazing except the broccoli. You must visit this spot. They need to open a place in Pyeongtaek!!!!

Some really delicious barbecue, meats and sauces here! A little tucked away, but the sign is easy to see and follow. They were busy, but the wait wasnt bad, and I was allowed to eat by myself, which was nice. The prices are quite high for Korea, but for foreign food I guess they make sense. Would love to go back with a couple friends; you save a bit of money if you get a set!

Really solid food and great beer options. Brisket isnt ready until after 5pm, but the stand out dishes are the BBQ chicken, pulled pork and green chile mac and cheese.

Best American style BBQ in Korea!! Its really hidden behind a building and up some super tiny stairs, so its hard to find, look for a sign they set up next to the tiny alley. Better to go with 3 or more people rather than as a couple, so you can get more variety. Plates are small but deceptively filling! Pulled pork, ribs, amazing. The brisket is famous and also incredible but not available at lunch usually. Still, I like to go at lunch since its quieter. Be prepared to wait in the evening but its well worth it! Nice beer selection too. The sides also great, nice cure for a little American homesickness.

Probably some of the best American barbecue I have ever tasted. Visited two years apart and left consistently satisfied. This place is a real gem.

The meat just melts in your mouth. If you want the ribs, specifically the baby back ribs then get there early. They usually run out of the ribs. And there is always a long wait usually at night. Gotta have patience to eat here but the food is worth the wait.

Bbq was savory, great technique- had different flavors. Mac n cheese with green chilis was real cheese crispy and baked to perfection -if anyone was wondering.Easy to get on a waitlist even if your party is big. The waitstaff was very helpful and nice to our party.

Smoked chicken and brisket with mac and cheese and broccoli. I never thought of getting smoked chicken before, but this place changed my mind. I highly recommend it.

They had set menu(a kind of platterfor 2 or 3 people, and it was great. But, it was a little expensive and there was only one air conditioner with opened kitchen, so it was hot there.

Interia is like the american bbq restaurant.Good bbq, but the amount is too small...If you wanna eat bbq that the amount is like america, order separated menu, not plate menu.The plate menu has 2 options, #1 is 2 meat with 2 sides and #2 is 3 meats with 2?3? sides.Btw, it was good!!!! but my place was too cold and made bbq cold- :(

I first attended Manimal during their soft open with a few friends, and tried all the available meats and some desserts, and we were really impressed by the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and of course, the unbeatable tasty food! This was over a year ago, and I have been longing to visit again ever since, following them on Instagram and trying to convince new friends to try it out. Finally, last night I got to revisit, although this time with a rather large group of 18 friends. I can say that it is probably not the best place to go with a huge group, but the food is better than ever and they managed to accommodate most of us on four different tables. We really respected their gender neutral bathroom, the work they have done with the best buddies program, and, as always, the meat is the best non Korean BBQ meat in all of Korea! I will be satisfied for days.
