Manila Hut - Filipino restaurant in Hempstead, United States
Place seems to be going downhill...cakes no longer available as it used to...always out of stock on items in the menu....and theres an asian foodmart across to easily get inventory from as you wait for your delivery, call in to check what they and dont have. BBQ meal is overpriced compared to other Filipino restaurants. No camaron rebusado heard from one table, we asked for pusit wala daw...and another table asked for something which I didnt hear but they didnt have as well. To the owner, please improve!!!
Very good Pancit, reasonably priced, fast service.
Good food. Efficient service. Credit card machine was broke so had to pay cash.
So good! Been coming here for years. The only thing I didnt like isnt even on the menu anymore.
Pricey but NOT worthy.
Filipino food. Average, pricey and not so warm people
Their noodles and bbq pork is to die for
We decided to visit Manila Hut after hearing about it from friends. Their Chicharong Bulaklak is crunchy and oh so tasty, the Crispy Pata was delicious! My husband’s favorite (he’s not Filipinois Kaldereta so we got that, too. It’s a little too sweet for my taste but had great chunks of meat in it. But between the Chicharong Bulaklak and Crispy Pata, it was worth the drive to Long Island!
Authentic Philippines dishes, yum yum.
The Tap Water was horrible worser than my tap water at home its probably their pipes are super dirty and need to be cleaned or changed so if youre sensitive to tap water I recommend you bring your own bottle water. The garlic rice tasted disgusting to me probably the water or it just wasnt a fresh batch in the first place cause it tasted like it was about to spoil in a few hours completely and it didnt even taste like garlic at all that wouldve probably killed half the germs I dont know if its always like that so if you ever get sick its probably not food poisoning its water poisoning. My main dish was missing chicken I hate when restaurants leave something out and dont tell you just hope you wont notice ! But the meat i did get as an appetizer was amazing I would go back for the meat ! The appetizers cost the same as a main dish so most people cant order a lot of stuff even more so when you dont know what everything is or taste like you have to limit your curiosity and for the amount you get at double the price it should only be $5. Its very delicious though ! Also the desserts are not on demand so whatever is available is what you can get which is a little disappointing since they have a long list of desserts.
Aiuthentic phillipino fare
Me and my brother went here for lunch. It was my first time and it was good. The place got crowded quickly. Definitely coming here again but not without him. We had the sizzling beef with the sticky rice. Everything!
Very tasty food! This really hits hime ❤️ worth coming back

Food was great! A lot more affordable too! Enjoyed my meal! Will go back again.
Clean and amazing food and stuffs.
Very tasty Philippino food, fast service... only negative was the sparcity of their cooler beverages despite having them on the menu
A decent place to go for Filipino cuisine. The crew is great. Food is awesome!
It is honestly the best fillipino food i have had yet on the island. i have been to some in queens (roosevelt areaand obviously our titas house (including other family members). This place is my favorite, get the bicol express for that porky gelatonous goodness and dont forget to pair it with some garlic rice.... mah bu hay!John 3:16
This was a great find. Its a nice place and the food is very good. The sizzling beef was fantasic! We had some friends with us who never had Filipino food anf they reallt enjoyed. We already made plans to go back there next month....
Buenísima comida
Good food enjoy.
Masarap
The male servers on the other hand are not nice. Unfriendly one. After our experience way back, no matter how good the food serve is, we never went back there. The owner is same, maybe the male one who stands by the counter. He is nice to foreign customers but not to Filipinoes. I myself dislike some Filipinoes but I dont generalize. You know if they are not the rotten tomatoes or not and wouldnt show them an attitude. Anyways when you have so much, you forget how you were in the beginning. 😀
Best Filipino food in the area, good prices n good quality. My second time here and I ordered the fried small lumpia and beefsteak. No complaints. The lumpia is very fresh!
This is my favorite restaurant in the whole entire world!!!! Their selection is fantastic and the people there are extremely nice! I am Filipino and have tasted lots of good Filipino food, this was the best. Also, I would recommend the sinigang pork and the barbecue pork with the sour vinegar sauce. This is a must try place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent foodOutstanding serviceI like the sisig na bangus😉😉😉
Great authentic Filipino food. Cozy atmosphere.
Best place for Filipino food in Long Island. So many authentic dishes that taste just as good as my moms, who was known for her amazing cooking - especially the kare kare. My absolute favorite dish is their sizzling beef, which is amazing with bagoong rice.
I heard really good review but I didnt like the food and the service. The guy whom I ordered was not really good and I ordered chicken lumpia but he packed vege one which is ok but chicken I ordered was third quality.
Very bad
very nice atmosphere and excellent service...very good portions at affordable prices.
I didnt know what to expect when I came here for the first time on the invitation of a friend. The reviews were mixed and so my expectations were low. I was blown away. The food was all made to order and came out as it was finished, dish by dish. And everything was superb. The fresh lumpia started us and set the stage for what was an excellent meal.
Authentic Filipino dishes at an affordable price
Taste like home!
As a new york born caucasian guy I never had any type of filipino food in my life. This place is delicious!! I come back just for the fresh lumpia and fried pork belly. I have tried many things on the menu, im an adventurous eater. All of the food here is great from the noodle dishes to the sizziling beef. I take all my dates here to impress them with my food knowledge and to have a great dinner.PS. Dont forget to have dessert!!! there are so many baked pastry items to choose from .
Great food and friendly service. I would recommend this restaurant. I bring my Filipino and non filipino friends here and they love it.
This is for our 1st & 2nd visit to the place. The first one was better that the last.1st: Food: we ordered grill squid and Grilled Pork belly, , awesome taste, a winner! The Bicol Express is a joke, they should just called it vegetable express, an original Bicol Express contains only hot peppers and slices of pork, coconut milk & bagoong. The sauce is too thick, that it thickly coats the vegetables, its not a sauce at all.Service: it looks like the servers whos working the floor has alzeimers, they couldnt seem to remember who ordered what. You can tell customers are getting annoyed, including. There was one particular server, well they look alike, heavy set but the one with longer, straighter hair has an attitude problem. You cant seem to ask him to get you something without him giving you that nasty look, very bad personality. He doesnt seem happy on what hes doing therefore he doesnt deserve to be there.2nd visit: a week later, we are craving for the grilled squid again., so we went and brought a friend. We ordered grilled squid, sinigang na baka, & fish ceviche.Food: squid is always good, sinigang is so salty so as the ceviche, PLUS we were eating this with no Rice, we were told that they ran out of rice and the 2nd batch will not be ready for another few minutes, well 10 minutes later, no rice. The nicer server offered us one bowl of rice (left over from the 1st batch), and we have to share it (3 of us). When the rice was finally ready, we were already full and we told them that we dont need the rice (less carbs, thats a good thing). All in all, the only thing we like from that place is the grilled squid, nothing else.Note: weeks prior, we were told to come back on a weekend if we want freshly baked cakes, my friend went there a couple of weeks ago (Saturdayonly to be told that they dont have enough, case was barely anything on it and the the cake that we want is not available, that we have to pre-order it. Bullshit! They never told us that before.Be warned, and be aware of this Review before thinking of going there. And stay away from that server; heavy set, slightly longer, straighter hair (the nicer one has a bit curly hair), he will just annoy the living crap out of you!One star is just for food and the nicer server, everything else is a flat 0!
