Mango Rosa Bar & Grill - Restaurant in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua
Safe and secure, super close to the best beaches in San Juan Del Sur, great atmosphere and flattest pool table in all of Nicaragua for sure!!!
We came here twice to have diner here. The staff was nice but not the most efficient. We waited a long time before I decided to go up the counter to order since they were not coming. There waa it us and another group of customers! The food was good, I like the chili cheese fries!
This is paradise! 😍
We stayed here for 3 months and had the best time of our lives! The place is beautiful, the service excellent and the people just wonderful. I wish we couldve stayed even longer...
We initially reserved for 3 nights but we were so comfortable that we decided to stay a 4th night. We were there with 2 small children. Well maintained. Good location. Great food. All in all, really good. Thanks!
Great place!...Wonderful staff...Clean and well maintained...One of the original resorts in San Juan...Restaurant, pool &boat...Best value in San Juan for both short and long term...
Wonderfull placenice peoplegood atmosphereand a real good musicwith that event today
Absolutely great low key place for families. We went one time on a lark and have made it a point to visit annually. Greg and his team are super nice and laid back and cater to every request. If you want to relax and get away from the daily American grind, this is the place. Everyone is super nice, the accommodations serve our needs, and the food and drinks are excellent. If you want to zip line with the kids, you can do that. If you want to learn how to surf, as my kids do, theres no place better. If you just want to sit on the beach, as I do, its perfect. The best sunsets Ive ever seen.
Great place to watch sporting events!
Fantastic food and drinks. The casas are very spacious and very nicely decorated. There is a beautiful pool. The grounds are well maintained. They have great day trips like boating, horse riding, zip lining etc... The best value around. Very close to 2 beaches. One good for surfing and 1 good for hanging out. Tell Paco (the crocodileI said hi. Lots of wildlife like sloths, monkeys and parrots
very friendly, safe, and beautiful atmosphere. Wish this could become my second home, my dad and I stayed for 10 days and never wanted to leave. THE FOOD WAS THE BEST IVE EVER HAD!!
This place is literally 5 star. The amenities, the staff, the environment, Capt Greg, and the food all add up to make this place a supreme destination. I took my daughter with me and we ended up extending our stay. There is so much to do. It is safe and clean and wonderful. The plants and animals are beautiful here. And the fishing and surfing are just epic. And then the sunsets. It doesnt get any better than this.
WEDDINGHow to describe this beautiful place.I found this place (luckilyonline searching for destination wedding sites. Greg worked with me and answered ALL of my many questions (patientlyand was so great at replying in time and help guide me through the process. He was always confident and calm - and I felt like my special day was in the greatest hands. The staff (esp Rhonda who basically runs the wedding show once you are thereare the BEST. I am not exaggerating. I still think of them today, and its been over a month since we were there. I feel like I want to call them and just say "hey! Miss you, same time tomorrow?" but then I wake up ... haha. Breakfast was delicious, and all of the meals were freshly made, inc some with fish caught from the day of fishing. Everything was DELICIOUS. Water was provided in each room to have ready to drink. We spent an entire week there, and it felt like I lived some of the best days of my life -sharing this place with family, and owning the resort as if it was our little piece of heaven. People from the US, Colombia, and Sweden came - of all ages and sizes- of different interests- and everyone enjoyed themselves. Everyone who was a part of this special week appreciated the attention of the staff, the food, the excursions, and importantly, the affordability. The people who we worked with for the wedding (Gaby transport, decorations, florist, cake maker, photographer, DJwere all SO professional and incredibly talented. They responded to all of our requests without hesitation. The transformation on our wedding day was magical. Every night ended in a pool party.I never imagined that this place would bring me so much joy and satisfaction. It was PERFECT for my wedding. Original, thoughtful, magically natural.I can imagine it being a great place for ANY sort of event where you have a group of friends/family and want to take time off to reset, have fun, and be surrounded by the amazing, beautiful staff of Mango, and the awesome (animalsounds of San Juan.So much love to Mango Rosa!-Clau and David
I stayed with my husband for a week in a one bedroom private bungalow. We were there for a friends destination wedding, and let me just say that staff did a FANTASTIC job with the beach ceremony and the reception at the resort. Staff took care of seating / flowers at the beach and transportation to the beach and back. They decorated the bar and pool area, provided a DELICIOUS meal, had a really great band...They really know how to throw a wedding. As far as staying at the resort itself, I quite enjoyed it. Everything was well-maintained and beautiful for the setting. The staff was friendly and helpful. If youre looking for full on luxury accommodations, this is not the place. This is a nice little laid back resort with everything you need plus a few perks.Pros: Beautiful, private bungalow. The setup of the various houses on the property really makes each one feel secluded in the jungle, which rocks. The bungalow included a full kitchen, and two televisions with satellite TV, and a secure WiFi connection. And just a few steps away you have a great bar/restaraunt, pool, hammock hut...The jungle animals, birds, fireflies were amazing.Staff is great. Helpful setting up rides to the beach if you dont want to make the short walk, or into San Juan, or to/from the airport. The 1ish KM walk to Playa Marsella is very easy and pleasant. The walk to Playa Maderas is a little more intense, with a VERY steep hill just prior to the beach itself. But again, you can get a free ride from staff if youre not into walking. The onsite restaurant has a small menu, but very good, and nightly specials to keep it interesting. I think we managed to try everything on the breakfast menu and I loved it all. Made-to-order breakfast with no apparent cut-off time is a BIG plus for me. I HATE continental breakfast.Cons: It was very loud most of the time. Not particularly relaxing. Between the jungle/animal noises, which were pretty magical, and the loud roosters, loud generators, loud guys chopping trees while we were there and other work going on toward the end of the season, music from the bar/pool area...it was just really loud. The bed / furniture in our bungalow (P1was hard and uncomfortable. Some of the other cabins had much nicer furniture, so I think it just depends on which one you end up in. Since it rained for a lot of our stay, it would have been nice to have a more comfortable place to lounge. There was a bit of a sewage smell from the septic when it was raining heavily. Probably not an issue in the dry season.Be aware of: They charge for electricity use. Its no big deal, but not very prominently stated on their website. If you havent been to an area like this before, be aware that you cant flush anything but human waste down the toilets. TP goes in the trash and piles up quick. You have to ask for housekeeping. They dont come in and clean every day. That suits me fine, we asked them to come drop off fresh towels and empty the trash cans once while we were there. We had some issues with our bills. Not sure if it was just poor internal communication or a series of mistakes... It all got sorted out in the end, but I felt very flustered and stressed about it.
Es maravilloso es un lugar q te transmite paz, confort y su personal es muy servicial, ofrecen un menú fresco, su naturaleza dentro de este lugar es única.
This was a great place to stay. Its absolutely beautiful, everyone is very kind and will help you when you need it. Very nice cabins. There is also a beautiful beach walking distance. And my absolute favorite part, there is a pool! I would highly recommend this resort!
Food was amazing . A must to visit while in San Juan del Sur
Laid back, ideally located for all beaches and activities, great atmosphere and staff!
Perfect stay away for surfing and relaxing
Nice place
Great food great service. Amazing.
Awesome pool, great place to watch football.
After driving from Texas on our way to Panama and struggling to just find hotels that would accept our dogs, we were blown away by the property, our cabana, and the welcoming staff. We were here no more than an hour when I found 10 excuses to stay an extra night to relax and enjoy myself. Totally awesome!
My wife and I and our 20 year old son met up with friends at the Mango for 5 days and had an incredible time. The staff, accommodations, and food were excellent. Just didnt have enough time to do everything offered. Great experience.
Mango Rosa is Top NotchThis is my 12th visit to Central America and I wanted to bring the Family along this time and I picked the very best place to stay the Mango Rosa. The staff and owner were very friendly and gave 5 star service the entire time. Each day and night they would list all the activity choices and we would simply pick one verbally and off we were to Zip Lining, Surfing (or surf lessonsFishing offshore, horse back riding, local town trips, dancing, monkey hunting, the local baseball field, etc... Im not into Yoga but many of the guest were and they had a great venue for that. I did enjoy my Massage at Mango Rosa. My Family had a blast and felt very safe the entire time. Some of my Family members said that Mango Rosa is the "best restaurant". Thats saying a lot since I am from St. Augustine. I would get the Steak and one of my kids with get Seafood pasta that came with Shrimp and an entire Lobster and we would split them up - Yum! I also liked ordering smoothies since they are made with fresh fruit. This place is set up for anything from a romantic get away to a group of people. We had a group of 21 ranging from 8 to 70 years old and everyone had a blast!!! I will be back to the Mango Rosa!
Mango Rosa treated us like family. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly, and the space had everything we needed to have our wedding and family reunion. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a beautiful relaxing and fun place. There is something for everyone there and the location is close to a lot of other beaches.
Lugar completamente equipado excelente atención y privacidad comprobada
Gorgeous settings outside of the cityscape. Birds, monkeys, sloths as well as fantastic beach for surf
We had a wonderful time staying at Mango Rosa. Staff are friendly and helpful with getting us places. There are beaches close by for surfing and a pool at the place. We really enjoyed our stay.
Buen lugar, con un ambiente agradable y fuera de la ciudad. Los Nachos son muy ricos.
