Mango Beach Bar in Polygyros

Water and sand are good! Bar, food, service and prices are inadequate and subpar. You are charged for using a shower, even if you paid for the sunbeds. Ridiculous! Staff is also rude. I will never visit this place again! They have turned it into a money machine. This is not Greece!

Awfull, 30 euro for sunbeds. They promised to give back 8 euro, but at the end of the day they told us we misunderstood!...never go back althought we went there 8 years in a row. Such a shame for greek nation!

Beautiful beach, however, the food at the beach bar is poor and overpriced.

Good place , well organized, parking area … we really enjoyed even if overall feedback wasn’t so positive . 8€ for sun beds plus another 32€ to spend on food/drinks I do see it pretty convenient for a decent day on beach side

To the contrary of other people we found this place very suitable for us and our childrenParking is a huge win here with the trade-off that you need to be a customer at the bar, we found this more than acceptable.Clean very nice beach and great sun beds, the service can be a little slow but thats due to the amount of people at this place due to its high quality of venue.If you have kids and need parking to be able I recommend this place.Prices are reasonable also, its not the cheapest but not the most expensive.The coffee is absolute top notch along with everything else, we enjoyed it.Plenty of space also for kids to run around and the water is crystal clear.

The food quality....its okay...I might would say a bit poor quality...The owners can definitely consider updating their food quality and menu but n an overall reviwe Mango can offer you a great day by the sea....the beach Akti Kalogrias is one of the famous beaches of Halkidiki.Parking is a great service there, please always make your booking before visiting.

Awful service! One info u get at the entrance, the other when u take the sun-beds. unprofessional host that lies visitors!!This place used to be good and one of my fav, but after many years coming, dont think i will come back again.Lost the soul and became money machine!!

Well organized beach but very poorly organized staff. The waitresses are completely executed (except for one waiter who cant cover everything by himself). I have been coming to Greece for 30 years and for the first time I experienced that the showers on the beach are charged!!!! (And if consumption of 40 eur was charged)!!!

Staff ist friendly,but the manager ist rud,ask not to come to the beach anymore because of mobile fridge,that she did not said that is not alowed.At the end of the day after a 100 e spend on drinks at the bar she said its not alowed and not to come anymore in a rud way.Think that she is sometning is she a manager,patetic and stupid.

Very overpriced. They asked for 40 euros on a sunbed even though at the beach bar nearby it was 10 euro consumption

Come for the beach, leave for the service (polite, but mostly inadequate and very slow, poor food and crass, loud music. Place can easily earn 5 stars with very little effort put in on behalf of management, its mind-boggling.Create a consistent musical ambiance (lowfi?, hire 3 more people on weekends and offer just 5 but actually good items on the menu and youre set 👌

Drink and staff is great, but food no. We ordered carbonara, and burger. Everything is microwaved, and the meat in burger was so hard, at the second bite I got into a very hard part, I thought I am biting a plastic or something. We complained (very kind, did not wanted to make a scene), and the waiter was totally OK, said that he is sorry million times, removed that from the check. On the other side, portions are huge, which justifies high prices, but still quality is very poor. Again, the atmosphere is great, to take a cold drink and enjoy!

Awful service, we booked 3 umbrellas at the end of row and on next day - surprise. The reservation list was changed and manager propose us 2 umbrellas in front of music box for 3 families with 4 little children!!! . FAKE. There is big parking, free for guests. There are umbrellas on the beach, but they are not free. The price is EUR 50 for first line that include 8 for umbrella and 42 for consumption from restaurants... EUR 40 for second line, EUR 30 for third... The price are normal for area. The staff are very kindly. The beach is very crowded!! The music is too high... It is not typical Greek beach!

Very beautiful place but the music is very loud. Too bad, because they are many families with children. This could be the perfect beach with no music or if they turn down the volume

Parking is good - space for everyone. Umbrellas are ok but you might end up in a place close to a pond or a bar speaker might be playing music straight on your head. Worst is wi-fi, basically not working . Service is ok, so is the food . You need to pay at least 30 euro per umbrella with two beds.

We like the beach bar a lot despite the entrance fee. Where-ever we go, we spend 10 euro fir sun-beds and 20 euro for drinks, food during the day. The sea is Crystal clear, shower is great! If we had more time, we would have come back more than once.

The beach is fine. Water entry is an average slope, not the steepest but not shallow either.As for the bar, all that other people say about it, meaning "its the greediest place in Sithonia", is more than true.They charge 8 Euro for 2 sunbeds and impose a minimum consumption of an additional 22 Euro, all in all 30 euros that you pay for the sunbeds farthest from the water (price goes up if you want "front row seats"). That in itself is not really that unacceptable. I would be willing to pay that.The first problem arises from the fact that the same pricing applies even if you arrive at 19:00 and the place completely closes at 21:00.And the second and biggest issue is that they "fail to inform you" from the beginning that you are forbidden from leaving. So, after you pay 30 euros and you want to eat some fresh fish in a taverna, you are forced to forfeit your sunbeds. Same applies if you want to leave for more than 30 minutes for any reason (eat in a taverna, take a nap, care for a small child, visit a doctor or whatever else you can think of). I could understand that you should lose the sunbeds if they were were free to begin with. But paying for them makes the whole deal feel like being scammed.I hope people would stay away from this place.

One of the nicer beeches in Sithonia.Compared to previous years, however, the owner must have struggled to find qualified personnel.Beach chairs are €4 each. Use of the showers is not included - for these, now, you have to pay separately (!!)

We arrived at Mango Beach on a weekday in July (2 adults and a one and a half year old babyjust after 11. Upon arrival, we were informed that the daily rental fee of 2 sunbeds + umbrella was 8 euros, in addition to a minimum charge of 22 euros (for drinks/food). Less than 2 hours and 40 eur later, we informed the staff we had to take the baby back to the villa for a nap and would be returning in approx. 2h. We were told we could not leave the beach for more than 30’ and we may or may not (emphasis on the NOTfind other sunbeds upon our return… Given that we had already covered the DAILY minimum service charge in less than 2h, we found the policy absurd. Best not spend more than 30 mins in the water, who knows, you might find someone else occupying your sunbeds 😂

A great beach, with a great bar, huge parking (with some natural shade), but too bad that the beach doesnt have any natural shade. However, crystal clear water, nice sand, really good sunbeds in the bar. The bar is a bit pricy (but the food and drinks are great), but you can select the price range by selecting the sunbed row - the closer to the sea, the pricier.

Terrible service - 4 different people come to you in the first 10 minutes to explain what you need to pay and ask you to pay immediately for the mandatory consumption and sunbeds and after you pay they dont come any more when you actually want to order. Whenever you catch their attention they tell you one minute and dont come back... RepeatedlyThe beach is great, but the bar is very badly managed. Never been to such a greedy place in Greece. Sunbeds and umbrellas paid, mandatory consumption, showers are with a chip you need to ask for from the bar, the beverages are not tasty at all, fresh organge juice for 6 euro diluted with water and barely any oranges, etc. Stayed for a couple of hours and would never return

Parking is pretty wide and its located in pine forest so the shade is great. Upon entering you are greeted with the host of the bar and the list of free chairs. Each chair is 4€ per person. You will pay it when you order your drinks. Drinks are average, both in price and in taste. Espresso fredo with two ice cubes was not on par with the other bars in the near region.Service consisted out of 6 parts. First part was the coffee, then the first water bottle, followed by the second one, then goes the receipt after which the wrong receipt was given and we needed the right one. Soon the straws were given to us, then eventually we paid for the whole experience in the end.Beach is beautiful, long and wide, with fine sand and deep blue sea. Chairs are also nice, sturdy and comfortable.The burger patty was nice, but the whole burger was pretty sad. Cold buns with caramelized onions that seamed raw. Even the risotto felt like it was reheated.Overall experience was enjoyable and comfortable, with natural beauty overshadowing the bar.Would recommend this place for couples, but it may be a little bit expensive for a larger company.

Amazing beach bar, staff super helpful and fab cocktails! Great clear water and lots of fish to see snorkeling. Had a club sandwich and partner gyros which was a build your own style and both were super tasty!

Used to be a good place lace, now now is overcrowded and they charge for everything. Next year they might charge you for using your own towel. Sadly the greed for money is making many place worse rather than improving the service.

We enjoyed our time spent here, the staff was friendly and we didnt have to wait a long time for our orders.Free parking at the entrance. The price for a sun chair is 4 eur and you have to make a minimum consumption of 11 eur per person, for front row sunbeds.

Super bad service, the lady manager even offended us, putting words into our mouth, that we didn’t even say. We had coffee boughy from other place, and we only asked if we could finish our coffee because we like it, and aftwerads we will order from the bar, as we were planning to spend the whole day there. Her reaction was that she doesn’t care and she doesn’t want clients like us, and if we are going to spend one more minute on the sunbed , she will charge us (we didn’t put our towel or smth, my boyfriend only took a seat while we were discussing with the lady to understand the terms - hillarious, isn’t it?Too bad they forget they’re in a industry where they need the clients and not the other way around - even more when the clients are educated and polite people.Definitely not recommending or trying to come back ever again.

The place is nice but procedures and policy at beach are terrible. I understand they want to earn as much as they can, but is disappointing they do not allow babies and young children to consume own food and drink (almost all children have juce they love to drink that do not exist at bar menu).I have feeling they do not allow mothers to breastfeeding babies.Enter to sea is not best for young children. Also of you do not seating at first line of sunbeds you can see own child when it is close to sea.There much better beaches and bars at Sithonia.

Great sea, really comfortable sun loungers, nice background music. Prices a bit high but more or less reasonable. In 08/2020: First row 20 Euro mimimum consuption per person. Second and third, 15 Euro. From the fourth row: 4 Euro per lounge plus what you drink/eat. But its totaly worth it. Watched parking in proximity for free.

Obscenely high prices (30€ for 2 sunbeds at the front of the beach!!). For the other sunbeds, it was a more reasonable 8€, but only allowed for two people. Better go to the far left of the beach, where you only have to pay what you drink

Ridiculous service, sunbeds possible to find as of 7th row if no reservation. Needless to say that sunbeds are heavy and impossible to adapt to the shade, which makes the existence of umbrellas totally meaningless! It is a wannabe club, awful atmosphere on the beach, totally missed the point of beach and sea. Shame to ruin such a decent beach by giving people below the average the feeling of exclusivity

Very comfortable beds, friendly service (although not enough staff, do be prepared to wait). OK food and drinks but high prices. Really did not enjoy the annoyingly loud pop/dancy music - could hardly have a conversation, read or relax. By 4pm it had become pretty much a rave. Really really annoying.

Great beach! BUT!! You ll have to prepay the minimum consumption per umbrella set, which is fine.. ONCE you pay, your orders(when you finally ordercome after an hour or so... Hire some staff, you cannot service all these customers with 2-3 waiters.... While the customers have prepaid 30 to 40 euros...

I was quite surprised, unfortunately negatively to come back to that place. Honestly, in September it is a dreamy place but in June...not the most pleasant experience. You pay 30 euro as minimum consumption (8 for bed and umbrella and 22 for food and drinks), which I havent met in Greece until now and it was extremely disappointing! I do understand why it is done, because otherwise families with home made sandwiches will occupy the place, but comeee on!...ok, we decided that we really like the place and location and anyway we would have spend that money and stayed, BUT then...having in mind we are obliged to pay that money- service was slow and bad, which is not common foe Greece. Lack of staff or too many customers, I dont know but having in mind all people paid they are not getting the service in return. 30 mins for the order to be taken and the same time to come (happens on Saturday). Also, the speaker was so load that we hardly could hear each other and had to scream...such a pitty, because the beach and the water are amazing! Super clean and nice, but the Bar- I would not come back again 😔

Mango beach bar has the best location on one of the best beaches in Sithonia. Service is fast and very friendly. Beach bed is 3 euro for the day. Coffee is very good and they have a nice selection of food to eat. The clasic burger is excelent and a must try. As well as the french fries which is very good and nicely seasoned. The beach bar has a large place to sit as well as nice area to play beach waleball. Not crowded in september.

It is OK. In early september it is full but not crowded you still have intimacy, the beach is clean

We managed to find free parking just 100 meters away and entered the beach. Found two sunbeads on the second row, supposed to cost 4 euros each. But then staff comes along and inform us that we need to spend 30 euros at the beach to use these sunbeads. That wasn’t a problem for us, but might be good to know if you’re just going there to bath or rest.The beach is nice and the sunbeads were comfortable. Food was descent but overpriced. We enjoyed our stay and the staff was nice.

Its a very nice beach with wonderful sea and a nice bar. We visited many times and last time now at the beginning of June and it was not crowded at all. If you want to stay in the first row you need to spend 15 eur/person at the bar. The prices are medium-high but service was good the the food was okey. 15 eur/person you spend easily at any beach if you stay the whole day so we didnt find too much. We will come again!

Despite the fact that beach is beautiful, beach bar Mango its not the best option any more. They extended sun beds and upgraded them to better ones and now they charge 40€ for set of two, leaving only last two rows for 3€ per bed. We waited 30 minutes before they took order, I was waving to every single waiter trying to order drink, and they just walked past. While we were swimming they clear out table and took away coffees. Nobody emptying ashtrays for 4 hours.Still beach is beautiful and water is super clear, but I think we will change location next door.

Very nice beach bar, however prices for drinks are quite high, food is not ok but not overwhelming, beach chairs are not covered by food/drink ordering (3 of the simple and 20 for the advanced chairs). Nevertheless the beach is really nice, the music was very good and the staff was very polite

Wanderful beach, with yellow sand and clear/green water. With 6 Euro you get 2 sunbeds and an umbrella with a small table. You have parking, toilet, a place to change and some good taste music mix. You can order cocktails and good tasting fast food like nuggets and fries. You can see fish in the sea, especially with swimming glasses.Basically you cannot park without being a client, but its enough to take one chair (3 Euro). More fancy chairs with cushions might require special drink&food package.The sea is ok also for small kids if they dont go too far. Sometimes the current slowly moves the floating objects in various directions. However, the waves are often small or non existant. The sand is not super small grained, but its grained enough for walking without shoes. The water seemed slightly warmer than another beach some kilometers away.They also have a small lake with many turtles and fish that comes for food. Some walking merchands might also sell donuts and boiled corn.The shower costs (coinand it seems cold. No soap is allowed as it seems to go to the lake. On the other hand, there is water and soap at the toilet with a small sink. The change closed is free.The experience is great overall, the people really work to create a pleasant stay.

The private parking is free only if you pay for sunbeds, 3 euro each. Otherwise, you cannot park there. No car, no problem-3 euro each sunbed. You are forbidden to consume any of your own goods (water, sandwiches, fruits, etc.By the other hand, what is given by God (sandy beach, clear water, view to Kassandraits nice!P.S. At the end of the day, you want to take a shower? No problem, 1 euro. This is not Greece!☹☹☹

Bar is nice, water is beautiful here, I come here for many years now.But from last year you have to pay for sunbeds. Furthermore we came at the very end of day, and had to pay for sunbeds or leave, we decided to leave and to have a walk, and we were literally chased to move the car from parking by very non-polite personnel although we stayed for 20 more minutes. This was relay disappointing

Beatiful beach and sea, good for children. 6eur for umbrella and 2 sunbeds. Have regular filter coffee (most places have only espresso). Foods are above average. Drinks good. You can swim with fishes and even feed them. My 2nd favorite. (1st one lagonisi)

Beautiful clean beach with crystal clear water. BUT... We had to pay for sun beds and only consume drinks and food from the bar! Not the usual Greek hospitality and it costs a fortune for a day there with kids
