Mangia Pizza Firenze - Pizza restaurant in Florence, Italy
Best pizza in Italy, is soooooooo crazy delicious!
Travelled throughout Italy and this was the best pizza we had! If in town, head here for a casual pizza dining experience.
This the best pizza I’ve ever had. Mangia is a hole in wall down an alley just off the main pedestrian street. You’ll find 5-8 tables and a few seats available at the bar. The oven is sized just large enough for a few pizzas at a time. A small is 6 slices and a regular is 8 slices. My wife and I had 2 small pizzas and that was perfect for a 3 pm snack.
Great pizza. Very friendly. Chef seems to know the whole town who drop in regularly.
Had the pesto pizza and it was delicious. Great caprese salad also. The gentleman working was very nice. The restaurant is off the main path which was nice and quiet.
Great Pizza with many different options for a good price. The Pizza is made Right in Front of you and it is done really quickly. The chef was also a super friendly guy. I am looking to eating there again!
Amazingly fresh pizza in the center of Florence. The chef / owner is so friendly and passionate. The taste is just amazing! Highly recommend!
Simple menu, fast service, fantastic pizza! What more can you ask for. I’d highly recommend if you are looking for a quick bite to eat. Tables at the restaurant are small and hard to get around so not great for older or those with accessibility issues.
Seriously I am super picky about pizza. My hubs Italian American from New York. This place is hands down the best pizza ever! The owner, Luciano, is super friendly and remembered us from a few days ago. Something about the wood oven baked pizza, fresh dough and daily ingredients!! And of course the magic the chef brings to the table. I would come back to Florence just for this. Super happy to find this gem. 👏🙌
What can I say?!? Best pizza we ate during our time in Italy and BEST service ever!!! I didn’t catch the name of the guy making the pizza, but he was so friendly. Great experience all around, if you are looking for a place to eat pizza, no reason to look further!
We experienced great pizza here. We tried 5 different types in two days, absolute satisfaction. Ingridients has a max quality, the pizza is delicious. The service was very nice, they have a good sense of humor.
the BEST pizza Ive ever had. I tried many pizza places during my time in Italy, ranging from ultra touristy to random hole in the wall places and every thing in between. this was such a delicious mix of both. it was trendy but still had authentic, fresh ingredients. TRY THE PESTO! life changing
Amazing pizza!!!! Best I’ve ever had! Must try in Florence!
We shared a no 7 with mozzarella and prosciutto as a quick lunch. It is one thing that the pizza was excellent, but it was entertaining to watch the chef singing and dancing to some Italian pop songs while making our meal just on the other side of the counter where we were sitting. He created a really great atmosphere and the pizza was great, too!
Lucino (owneris awesome.. Very friendly, welcoming and so accommodating...Best pizza so far!Must try.. We can here everyday for late lunch..
This pizza place offers a ton of pizza types all handmade to order. The owner and staff were super friendly and even made us a custom pizza because they thought we would like it - and we did! It was a great lunch spot in a great location.
After my last pizza experience, I am sure glad this followed it up. This pizza was fantastic. The sauce was flavourful and the toppings felt fresh. There was also plenty to fill up your entire pizza. The crust was thin and crunchy as well. Theres limited seating space, but it cleared up fairly quickly. Highly recommend for lunch.
The best pizza we had, the stuff was amazing too. Totally recommend to visit this place if you are in Florence!
Best lunch place in Firenze! This restaurant is so gorgeous not only for the great tasty, but also for the shefs kindness. My daughter could enjoy to cook her own pizza by support from kind shefs. Definitely would recommend this place for all of my acquaintances.
By far the best pizza Ive had in Florence, perhaps ever. Very affordable, very passionate and amiable owner, incredible quality of food thats prepared in front of your eyes. Mostly self-service so more suited for a quick bite than a prolonged sit-down meal. Can definitely recommend going here!
Great handmade pizza, cozy place, great experience, you should come and say hi!
I am from Florence, I was here with 4 French friend and we tasted amazing pizzas.I was really surprisedTop tomato sauce and mozzarella di BufalaHighly recommended to experience a wonderful pizza. The owner is kind and try to give u the best product. No table serviceNot so many seats inside but it is reasonable
A very good pizza, the dough is left to rise for 72 hours, the wheat from which the flour is made is planted on the Tuscan hills, I chose a Margherita buffalo pizza accompanied by a beer :Greetings to the chef! I will gladly return next time I arrive in Florence!
This was our first meal when we got to Florence and it was just what we needed! The dough was light, flatbread like and the owner was welcoming. Overall, a really yummy mid-day meal after a long flight!
Eat a delicious pizza with a perfect price. I went there because I read that it wasn’t a place with tourists, the truth, we all of us were tourist but I really feel the food is make it for locals people. I order the small one although I was starving, at the end I couldn’t finish with the small one.You can see how he is making and learn something about it!!
This place is a gem and the pizza is phenomenal! We ate here 3 times when we were in Florence in March and plan on doing the same when we visit again next March! Hands down my favorite pizza in all of the cities we’ve visited in Italy. Owner is super funny and friendly. Ingredients are fresh.
The pizza man was amazing! Talked with us, we saw how he made pizzas and also did a small one for a small kid just to have fun. Most charismatic pizza man in Florence!
Very delicious authentic fresh ingredients I love it
Amazing. And I was born and raised in Brooklyn spoiled by great pizza. This is the best. My daughter gobbled up her Margherita and I had one w Mozarella di Buffalo and sundried tomatoes. HOLY OMG.😋🤪🥰
An ok place near touristic spots. “Rectangular” Pizza tastes average, very decent prices in a more fast food style
Nice small place to have a good pizza made with fresh ingredients and served piping hot.
Lovely small pizza place. Nice and cosy. Food is good.
Lovely service and great food. The pizza came very quickly and was delicious. We ordered one pizza each.
Amazingly delicious pinsa (traditional Tuscany pizza). The one with Gorgonzola and pears is made in heaven. Small tip: prepare some cash because card is not working sometimes.
Some of the best pizza weve ever had. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was wonderful as well. The man working, I didnt catch his name, was very friendly and everyone got some free sweet bread that was also delicious
Are you looking for a high quality pizza place in Florence and want to avoid tourist traps? Come to Mangia! This is a small restaurant that is perfect for lunch. The pizza is made-to-order in classic Florentine style with fresh ingredients daily. The man working was so friendly and fun. There were a few kids in the restaurant and he went out of his way to ensure they were also having a fun experience.
We gobbled up the first pizza before we had a chance to take a photo, and then ordered one more because it was just that good. Piping hot, great tasting pizza base, fresh ingredients. Amazing.
Delicious Neapolitan style pizza served quick and hot. A small was big enough to share among 2 for a light lunch. Try the pizza with tomato, mozzarella, spicy Tuscan sausage, salami, and mushroom!
Mangia Pizza its amazing!! The pizza crust is so thin and the tomato sauce and all other ingredients very delicious. Martina’s service was wonderful, she was very friendly and helped me to pick the best beer to have with my pizza, I got #7. Absolutely recommend this place for anyone that wants to eat delicious pizza near Ponte Vecchio! They do check for green passes, which is great! The covid precautions made me feel safe and enjoy my pizza a lot.
Great pizza with great service. I recommend pizza with mozarella and toscan ham, friend also tried mozzarella, gorgonzola and pear and they liked it a lot.Dolce pizza with Nutella was surprising to see here for me - it was good but not really my taste
Really amazing pizza. So simple and so amazing.Run by the owners directly, they definitely know what they are doing. You can sit inside or outside. There is an option for small (8 eurand big size (10 eurpizza so great for small lunch or bigger meal too.Just be careful about how they charge you (small/ big pizza, sometimes mixed up for their favor…)
I do not exaggerate when I say this might be the greatest flatbread style pizza Ive ever eaten. Google pointed us in this direction when we wanted a quick-ish bite to eat and it definitely delivered on the high rating.Very fairly priced, nice little sidestreet, workers all super friendly. And of course the pizza itself was a masterpiece (I got the sausage and olive). We recommended the rest of our party try to stop here later in the week to try it and they all agreed it was incredible and one of our favorite things we ate all week.
One of the most delicious pizza i have had in italy. Ita a small place with a few tables but they offer take away. The speaks english and one of tge sweetest we have met in italy
Cute shop with nice guys making the pizzas right in front of you. Pizza was solid, but I might have liked the salad more after all the pizza and pasta we had on the trip!
Best pizza in North Italy! The staff is amazing and the prices are really fair. Only 10eur for an dangerously delicious pizza! Happy that we found this place 🤌❤ Mozzarella, baked ham + truffle 🤤
We looked for a place that would have good pizza for a decent price. We couldnt have asked for more. We were very happy with the pizza we got. Great dough and great toppings.
Since the day I arrived, Mangiapizza has become one of my favorite places to enjoy a great pizza. The staff is professional, welcoming and super friendly! The pizza is just f**king amazing with fresh, flavorful and high quality ingredients. Delicious!
The pizzas are good. It’s not the best, but that’s because you get used to the high quality in Italy 🇮🇹🤌🏼 10€ for the size of a pizza on the picture, that’s fair! Especially when you are used to danish prices 😅
We were looking for some good localPizza and found this place through GoogleMaps. Not on an open square nor was it in the open sun. It was constantly busy but the waiter kindly asked us if we wanted to sit inside or outside and took a table outside just for us. Quick, tasty, affordable lunch. Highly recommend this place.
One of our better lunches in Firenze, but really there are so many great spots! This was perfect as we had just spent the morning in the Uffizzi and were ready to sit down and relax a bit. The pizzas were quick and delicious with fresh ingredients and we could watch the guy making them from portioning out the dough & spreading it on the peel, spreading the sauce, putting on the toppings, and throwing it in the oven. Prices were very reasonable with a great amount of options. They were big enough that we ordered 2 for the 4 of us. I loved the fresh mozzarella & sun-dried tomatoes - so, so good with great tasting crust! Little tables just inside to sit at and enjoy our pizza off the beaten path, but within close proximity to Ponte Vecchio & other popular things to see. Definitely highly recommended!
