The Good: the vibes are impeccable, the cocktails are good, the selection is large and the staff is both incredibly pleasant and very knowledgeable.The Bad: the margarita is difficult to drink on account of there being too much ice (I ordered four cocktails and this was the only one that even slightly bothered me).In general the price (which btw isnt even that highis way worth it.

It used to be a good place, but today....slow servise, high prices, automatic tip included in the price for group of 5+People. Deeply disappointed, quite a shock. We need to choose another bar. Be carefull with pricing and a qualityn of the services. There are much better places. Sorry to say that but it used to be a perfect place, but now it is only an average overexpensive bar with desceptive business services. Hopefully a new manager/owner will come in order to turn up the services. Be carefull. Quite a tricky place also for Czech People. The menu is tricky in terms of pricing.

Disappointing to see it went so downhill. We asked for a short cocktail, got a long one (not cool!with low quality boxed juice flavour taking over and really zero balance in flavour. 30min waiting time for a bill after which we gave up and went to pay to the bar. Listened to a gentleman having a long conversation about getting overcharged… First with one waitress. Then another one. Poor guy.This was supposed to be our bday drinks but after one drink, we understood this bar is now to be avoided.Shame - We used to come regularly and loved the amazing cocktails, great music and oh so beautiful knowledgeable girls in red dresses and pearl necklaces, even tap water in classy carafe… none of that remained.

Walking distance from main boulevard. Good capacity, so easier to fund a table. Snacks and cocktails are top quality as well as the service. We were lucky to see a live music show. Recommended place definitely.

Amazing, high-quality cocktails with really great service and fun, live jazz music (GREAT performance). Even the free popcorn snack was some of the best popcorn I’ve ever had. We couldn’t leave and ended up staying for about 6 hours in the evening! One of our best nights in Prague.

Its a cosy bar with a nice interior. Drinks are quite expensive but one would expect that from such a place. What I didnt appreciate was the bar manager repeatdely shushing me and my friends. We werent screaming or anything, just laughing loudly and having a good time, which is surely to be expected in a bar on a Saturday night?

Friday night show Lady & The Devil. Fantastic!!! The piano, the singer the musicians everything there to entertain while you take your cocktail!

Great club atmospheric with dimmed lighting and cosy spaces.... Expensive, hence a 4 rather than 5, and we had a show there which involves you all in such a small space.. Great fun

It is a very classy place to hang out. The prices are not cheap. The waitresses were so amazing. There is live music on Saturdays. The band is amazing. The singer is very cool. Before you go, you should book a table. Even toilet is decorated so beautifully. Gooo there😌😁

This is the worst service I have ever experienced in Prague, the manager was so rude to us and literally tried to kick us out. However we just started our celebration night with girls and of course it ruined all our mood and plans.I have to say that it was the most negative attitude I experienced in many years. I don’t recommend this at all!!!avoid this place!

Never again!! I was shoked to meet in such place with this kind of impoliteness ... Manager and 1 waiter were terribly rude to our team of a 10 girls.1 of us make a reservation of a table to celebrate our event throught the instagram and when we arrived we were treated in a extremly bad way.

A truly magnificent place, very atmospheric! Personal was very friendly and the drinks were nothing short of perfect.Music was very tatseful and fitting for the location.Not cheap but absolutely worth it!

Really nice surprise. Decoration, drinks, service, music.Service was amazing very careful how to prepare the drinks. Nice variety to be honest. Details matter and you can see here.Was piano night and I really felt like I was back in time. Shy to clap when songs finished as the pianist and singer duo was really pleasant.Price a bit above but you get quality and that deserve it.Looking forward to go back again.Highly recommended

The Bar And Books bar is a gorgeous place. Both inside and outside it looks nice. However, the service there is bad and disturbing.We were there a week ago. One of us is a smoker, so she went to the smoking room (yes they have a smoking room). A minute later a waiter appeared and said that she can’t be there: we all must occupy one table a time (the smoking room is another room with tables): we all may sit in the main room or all of us must relocate to the smoking room. The bar was pretty empty this time, and the smoking room was completely empty. So we all relocated to the smoking room. Okay.The next unpleasant surprise was the TV in the smoking room. We don’t like TV in general, so we turned it off. A minute later the same waiter appeared again and turned it on. She explained that the television has a security camera installed on board and when the TV is off the security camera doesn’t work.The cocktails we asked were not bad but definitely not what we asked for. My cocktail included a whiskey and I didn’t have any preference - they used the most expensive whiskey.Overall: good place, bad service.

Very average place, nice interior but drinks lack imagination, for the price presentation should be somewhere else. Not very polite staff, they press too hard to sell as much as they can. I was rather disappointed, will not return, there are better places for drinks and with better food options.

Vintage atmosphere and great vintage old music, nice drinks. There is also a smoking area where you can smoke very nice cigars. Service is great also the waitress provided a very attentive assistance.

Fancy interior and nice atmosphere, even more when there some some life music. The cocktails are quite good and even if the prices are a bit higher than average, it.s totally worth considering de sorrounding and the great service.

Very fancy looking place open until late night with nice atmosphere with dim light and smooth music.I actually felt a bit out of place due to my casual clothes, compared to a stylishly looking waiter/ess - they were also very polite too. We ordered some cool cocktails and some small snack sandwiches.Overall very pleasant experience.

Amazing Drinks for small prices. Food is great. The bar looks very cool. The interior with all the books and the pictures and the wall is stunning. The service was perfect and the waiter was nice and had great recommendations. All in all a great experience that shouldnt be missed on a trip to Prague.

Very cozy bar with very nice staff. Super professional and kind. And the drinks are also very very good. Prices is a little expensive, but it is totally worth it.

Very nice place and good service, not to much in your face. It’s a nice place to relax.The cutting fee is very reasonable.I would like to see some more comfortable seating in the lounge and maybe some more reading friendly lights as I like to enjoy a book with my drink and cigar. After all, the place does have “books” in the name...Can not say anything about their cigars and how they are stored as I brought my own.

Great place to have a drink. Intimate but with great live music. I love it! Then if you want to dance right next door is Club Termix. 5 Star!

Nice cocktail bar. Live music was great. Solo guitarist "TIm" was plying, very good live music. Good place to take a date or business contacts. Highly recommended

Nice quiet cocktail bar on a weekday evening. Good drinks, loads of free olives, and friendly staff who speak English. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Use to be one of my favourite places to have a drink. Nice summer terrace, great music, quality drinks and perfect service. Im trying to like it again and if I dont get whistle-out (literalyfive minutes after their closing hours again and wont be charged extra charges for bigger group of people, then I could be regular visitor once again.
