Manas Road, Barangabari Gyati Village, Dist Baksa, Gobardhana, Assam 781315, India, Thimphu
Vast wildlife sanctuary, home to protected species such as Bengal tigers, elephants & rhinos.
Great place for vacation with friends and family. Like to visit the place during winters. Lots of options for staying like cottages and tents. Most of them offer bonfire and dinners along with some packages for morning safari. I recommend doing some research before choosing one. Early morning safaris are the best, you will see lots of birds and wild bufallos, elephants and if lucky you might spot some of the rarer animals.
It is place worth visit But please mind we visited on October and there was no one apart from some locals - Friendly and welcoming ones.So it was silent, there was a pristine peace. You can hear the water flow - clean, clear non polluted water you can see the rocks underneath. The fresh wind blowing it was just beautiful washed of all the stress of the week. Also took a bath in that beautiful water it was refreshing.Really a beautiful experience.
Great Safari.Sighted Rhino, clouded leopard and water buffalo and elephant.
Filling so happy our West Bengal football team Bilwgw fc going on final 2022
During my jungle safari at Manas I saw Elephants, Rhino, Indian Gaur, Wild Buffalo, Peacock and Golden Langur. The view of Manas river was picturesque. The forest has mixed variety of flora. It has vast area of tall trees as well as shrubs and bushes, where usually Rhinos are found. The animal sightings from watch tower were excellent.
Its like heaven. Cool and quiet place. I love the scenario. Nice narrow block road to reach different restaurants. I love the big forest area. Everyone needs to visit this national park. The Manas National Perk.
We went on aug 14,22 but due to sm reason it was closed. So please do phone call to concerned person before reaching to manas.
Manas National park is a beautiful national park in northern Assam, India. The sanctuary extends over the border and into the hills of Bhutan but obviously you need a visa to cross. We can see wild elephants, rhinos and even barking deer. The park is a birdlovers paradise with hundreds of species. Early morning you can hear the peacocks calling from outside the park.Manas doesnt have the abundance of wildlife found in Kaziranga and therefore doesnt have the abundance of noisy tourist vehicles either. For us it was beautifully quiet with only the noise of birds to worry about. And its the best place for wildlife lovers and photographers.
Manas Wildlife Sanctuary is around 130km away from Guwahati and it is bordering with Bhutan. Main attraction of this park is one Horned Rhino. In the entrance of this park beautiful Peacocks are seen and also the Rhinos occasionally. There are many Hotel and Hometays are available nearby ranging from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 5000.
A very beautiful, serene place amidst nature. Must visit place. Best time to visit February to April. Open in day hours, itll be best if you reach before 12 PM, then you can cover the jeep Safari in 4 hours. There are resorts and restaurants there for food and stay purpose

A big national park of Assam. Its located in Baksa district of Assam (india). It is famous for tiger and peacock. Here we found Buffalo, various type of monkey, various type of pig, various type of deer, bear, snake, various type of tree. Here I have came one time in 2019, this is a amazing place for tourists. I went here with our schools education visit team, we enjoy there whole day & spent time,at the end of our journey we have taken our party๐,At the end I say, this is amazing place, awesome๐๐๐๐
Amazing place to visit with family. Crowd is less and chances of sighting animals are great deal more.
Great experience hospitality of the peoples are good and beautiful landscape views and lots of wildlife activites
The real nature place for manas National park always green, lots of activity in this location, and local people are very good, and local food taste also very good....๐๐๐
You can do a day visit here. Near from borpeta road station. Full of animals.
Most biodiversity that I have seen till this time..For birding its phenomenal..For Rhino not a good place as less rhino compared to Kaziranga..You can see dense forests, grasslands, water body and start of montain forest..
its a nice place for vacation for a one day stay. but there is nothing to explore. the forest area is not so much as expected and the animals are very rare to see.
So Nice Place for Jungal safari. Animals are Seen.Mathanguri Jungal Banglow view is Awesome..
Manas National Park holds a lot of exotic flora and fauna. During our visit, we were able to watch a group of families of elephants, which was also a huge number. As they surrounded the tower we were not able to move from that area for approximately more than 2 hours. And apart from that, we have also watched Rhinos and Peacock from a distance. We also went to watch the riverside of the manas river which divides Assam from Bhutan. There were other places to visit as well however, due to time constraints we were unable to watch those areas.During our visit we didnt stay at the locality for the day rather we returned after having lunch, as our home is a few hours away from the manas national park. But near the national park and also within are a lot of homestays, resorts and hotels for visits to stay. Also, Note 1Pets are not allowed in the National Park2You can have lunch next to the river manas just dont litter and throw the trash in the dustbin3)Make sure you dont throw trash anywhere. It is a place you must visit!
An excellent place to visit with your friends and family. This national park has an wide range of animals from tigers to rhinos and to innumerable birds. Both the flora and fauna will amaze you. Many beautiful resorts are available for stay as well. Jeep safari and elephant rides are must .
This was my first ever experience at Manas. I have been to Kaziranga and can surely say this park feels less commercial and has ample stuff to visit and see If very fortunate can see tigers and panthers but even taking a safari and enjoying the dense forest with trees older than us really is breathtaking
The largest National Park of Assam. As the name said Tiger reserve, but we need to have luck to face a tiger. Peacock, rhino, elephant, buffalo are easily seen. The view of river Manas is mesmerizing.
Nice experience but the jipsy drivers should be well trained not in driving but in showing the tourists the best view, as the jipsy facilities are recently started so they should be well trained and it has a great tourism potentiallyเฅค
Best place to visit in Assam. Please do the Safari in the early morning. You are sure to meet varities of animals and birds like Elephant, ๐ฆ, wild buffalo, tiger etc.The second half Safari is also good. Many home stays and resorts are available at rather cheap rate and homely good.
Its very big reserved forest in the state of Assam. Wide variety of wildlife are found here. Manas river follows through the forest. Night stay is allowed inside the jungle, but better to have prior booking. The hotel is situated at extremely beautiful location. Full moon night stay isrecommended. Safari jeeps are available at the entrance of the jungle. 2 to 2.30 hours safari. Starts from 7.30 am. Covid vaccination certificate & Adhar card mandatory.
Wonderful experience especially because our stay at Hornbill Eco Camp was very hospitable.
Do visit this place atleast once in your lifetime. But i would like to mention few points before you enter into the forest.1. Please keep the jungle clean. Dont throw up your empty water bottle, packet of chips, biscuits, cigarettes and gutkha in the jungle. Do carry a garbage bag along with you when youre on the jungle Safari.2. If you want to watch some wild animals then please avoid any kind of perfume, deo and bright clothes which distract the animals.3. If you want to visit Manas and want to watch the king of the jungle then Its better you should visit the zoo instead of the jungle. Because its only depends on how lucky you are when about seeing the wild animals. But yaa definitely you wont get disappointed on visiting the National Park.
Seemed like a neglected place. At the time of buying the safari tickets they never briefed us about special packages for Hog pigmy and Birding. We could find only a few animals. We were not even given a guide. Believe one has to ask for. Elephant s family was a good spot. River Manas which flows at the border of India Bhutan looks pristine with clear flowing water. Over all not so bad experience. The flora is well preserved.
Very beautiful and natural place. Its very near to Bhutan border. Must visit this place and experience the nature.
Visited this park yesterday (30.01.2022). We have reached there around 11.30 am. By 12 pm we have entered into the park and then came out by 3pm. Have seen one horned rhino, elephant, peacock, deer, different species of birds and flora, fishes in the Beki River. Jeep safary costs 2500rps (6 persons capacity), 100 rps for each visitor , 400 rps for road tax for every vehicle. I felt immense pleasure. Come... feel...share...!!
Wonderful experience. Had a Jeep ride up to Mathanguri (Bhutan Border). Had been to the Mathanguri Upper Bungalow of Forest Dept., and to the bank of the Manas River flowing below this bunglow. This river separates India and Bhutan.. This river is known as "Beki" river in Assam. We saw a herd of Wild Elephants, some Bisons, Peacocks and a pair of Hornbills on the way...
Manas National Park situated in Chirang and Baksa district of Assam.Famous for its population of wild water buffalo, pygmy hog, wild elephant, golden langur and plenty of peacocks with diverse flora and fauna
Its a beautiful place for hang out... To get some fresh air... Far away from city... It is full of flora and fauna... Home to exotic animals... Good time to visit is from february to April...dont make over expectations... You will not get to see animals frequently as compared to kaziranga... If you are planning a trip from guwahati to manas national park I shall advice you to start early in the morning by 6 am; so that you reach manas around 9-10..Then you will have plenty of time to explore the place...Cost of zip ride around โน3300 for 3 hours.. One zip accommodate around 6 people..
It is a pristine forest area, a biosphere reserve, on the foothills of Himalayas, and extends to Bhutan. It has variegated ecosystem with woodlands, Terai grasslands, wetlands, hill forests etc with water buffalo, rhinos, golden langur and occasional tiger inhabiting it. But since its quite a large forest, sightings are few and far between. There are forest guest houses as well as camps near the forest with decent accomodations.
Manas National Park is a awesome place at Barpeta District. Its likely osm for its green forest and near a big Tea Garden thats why its make osm place for picnic ๐ but car safari is very cost to visit national park๐ฅฒ.
Assams One of the pride, one horn rhino lives here.. beautiful place for spending quality time with your family and friends.. Jungle Safari, elephant safari, river rafting, folk dance, local food & cuisine stalls, tea gardens and lots of activities are available.. lots a small big, cheap costly resorts, homestay nearby..can reach here from highway by road, through Pathsala, Bhabanipur, Barpeta road etc...I recommend for short trip for you , if you have lesser time altogether...
Can hire a jungle safari i.e 7 seater maruti.Elephant riding is available, better to go early morning, can find animals like one horn rhino, cheetah, black panther, baboons, monkeys, wild hens, peacock, wild elephants and many more
Very beautiful place to visit. Explore the nature with Rhino ,tiger and birds specially Peacock. Comfortable home stay and resorts. Beauty of River Manah..elephant safary and jeep safary and many more ....
An adventurous forest with enriched biodiversity indeed!! If anyone loves dense forest, he/she must visit Manas National Park. Manas River, Wildlife and tuning birds simply make it paradise on earth ๐
One of the most beautiful national parks in indiaThey offer jeep safari at 6AM and 2PM which spans upto 3-4hours each. They charge upto 2500โน per jeep. The national.park is serene and beautiful. Its less crowded than kaziranga national park. You get to see rhinos , elephants, sambhar baison, langur etc in closed vicinity than khaziranga. It is one of the national heritages in India. If you like to visit a national park which is less crowded and want to spot animals, birds at closed vicinity, I suggest you goto Manas National park than khaziranga.Manas National park starts from India and goes into Bhutan. When you goto jeep safari, they stop at a village where you can stand at the edge of India. The manas river divides India and Bhutan and the view is breathtaking.
One of the least explored but you can be surprised by the unexpected sightseeing. Peacocks, elephants and wild buffaloes can be seen right from the perimeter of the park. Cant miss the adventure.
I may have visited lots of wild life sanctuaries or national park, but few things makes manas the unique place, or rather say if travelling to assam or bhutan a must place to visit.1A deep forest experience, very likely you might come across not just regular deer or rhinos but tigers or leopards2River rafting and you will see herds of wild animals while rafting across the riversThis is a beautiful national park in northern Assam, India. The sanctuary extends over the border and into the hills of Bhutan but obviously you need a visa to cross. We travelled in January which is not the best time for wildlife viewing as the grass is very high however we managed to see wild elephants, rhinos and even barking deer.
We went there last week, nice place to visit with your family. Good sighting of elephants, rhinos, deers, peacock... Have done 2 safaris one in the evening and another in the morning....have encountered with a group of elephants during safari, very nice experience
So beautiful a place. We stayed at florican cottage as booking for Matnguri jungle cottage was not available. I recommend everyone to stay at Mathanguri cottage as its the best place to enjoy in Manas. One shouldnt expect siting number of animals like tiger, Leopard etc. but the beauti of jungle is excellent. The jungle itself is so beautiful.
Beautiful scenery. Did morning cycling from Barpeta town. Enjoyed the whole ride specially before manas because of beautiful tea garden.
Park is well known for his one horn Rihnoceroses but park was also famous for elephant, water baffalo, tigers. its was considered as world heritage site. river Manas flows the Western part of park. really one of the Indias most beautiful national park.some regions of park situated in Bhutan and some in your asam.
Its a nice place to spot animals without even entering the park. But sometimes jeep rides are not even worth it cause you might not spot animals that arent common like rhinos, hippos, peacocks, etc. This year i went for a picnic but was lucky enough to spot rhinos without even going for a jeep ride. Though had fun,but download songs cause network is quite low out here๐
Beautiful place for nature... Best place for picnic. Natural Environment is so charming. Heres wild animals. The National park is so biggest. You can enjoy here. I have a special request to the all tourists, that is, please make sure when you visit you look after the forest and NEVER litter! WE MUST PROTECT THE FOREST ! WE MUST PROTECT THE WILDLIFE
Comfortable driving distance from Guwahati - roads are mostly good. The National Park is home to many birds, orchids and animals such as Rhino, Elephant, Black panther, Black Bear, Tiger, etc. Many resorts are available but mostly subject to prior booking.Jeep safari, Elephant safari available along with a beautiful tea garden and majestic view of the Manas river.
