Manam Thai Noodlesoup & Street Food - Thai restaurant in Muenchen, Germany
Great food in hurry. We sat inside because of rain but enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and tasty food.
They only accept Cash, and the place for sitting is really small. I ordered number 17, which is ok, but not super for me
I think, I came here on a off flavour day. I had the Pad Thai. Mine was bland with the noodles being crunchy. Maybe the place lost it flavour. The Service was self service!
Good taste and small portions
Food is great but they give you almost nothing. The portions are the smallest Ive seen in Munich. You can pay 3 euro more for a "big" (normalsize, but then its about 14-15 euro, which is frankly ridiculous for an imbiss
Manam is a absolute disaster! The extremely high prices wouldnt matter if the food was good. It isnt good at all. First of all, it isnt Thai. The egg noodles (which are not originated from Thailandtasted like chewing gum. The papaya salad, which was the best from the worst, tasted like nothing but salt. All the ingredients are from worst quality,. Nothing tasted like authentic Thai cuisine. We spent 50€ for three tiny little dishes. At the end, no one felt full at all.
Small portions, overpriced, rude service, no card payment.
The real Thai street food is here. 100% recommended.
I ordered a soup with seafood and it was outstanding. Very delicious with a decent amount of fresh sea food.
Been around for ages, really good street style thai food. Better as a take away (quick and not a lot of seating). Personal favourites are 101 Nuea yang nam tok and 15 pad si oiw
Crazy crowded there for sure. But thats because their food is really good. Best for takeaways for sure.
Very spicy and a bit pricey, but the dishes are absolutely delicious. Definitely try the Papaya salad and the vegetarian Pad Khi Mao, if you can handle the pungency.
Very very spicy 🌶 🌶 🌶 but soooo good!
Decent food, what makes the experience bad is the horrible service. The lady working there is always grumpy and rude when serving customers
Worst service Ive ever had in my three years in Munich 😞I had been looking forward to eating here for a long time. I was eating a tofu noodle dish outside when...Host: "You cannot drink your own water here."Me: "Its very spicy. Do you have tap water?"Host: "No. You must buy a bottle."So I quickly finished and got up to leave, when the cook came out and grabbed my shoulder.Cook: "You vegetarians think youre so special!" (Im not, and I dont)Also the portion sizes were small for the price, and they used lots of Styrofoam. Obviously I cant recommend this place.
I had Kao Mun Gai ! It was terrible. The rice was so hard and chicken was chewy. It wasn’t fresh at all. I‘m so disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend
Great little inexpensive place. The food is delicious. The small dishes, like baked wan-tan or spring-rolls are quite expensive though.Beware, this is not a "great place to sit down at. Its quite small and always full.I recommend ordering for take away.
I think and I would like to hope that I came here on an off day, because my wife and I heard a lot of good things about the place.Unfortunately on this day when my wife and I ordered 2 Pad Thai’s, hers was good but not special, while mine was very oily and didn’t have much flavour.I hope to come back and give it another try
Simple takeaway place. Some of the best Thai food in town. Inexpensive. Generous portions.
Good Thai Street Food !The Chicken Pad Thai was the BEST😋
Half way through my meal, I noticed that the duck I ordered had some green stuff on it and after informing the staff, they said it is normal. Be sure to check your meat in this restaurant beforehand.
Authentic Thai food with good value, love their Pao Kra Pao! It is a shame during Covid time, there are no outside seatings, and if you do take away, the portions are not consistent. And the Thai pearls tea next door are way too sweet, not recommended!
I ate there few years ago and was really satisfied. But few days ago when I ordered it was very pale image of the previous experience. The portions are tiny for a regular price. My dish was very greasy and nothing more, not even spicy although it had 2 chillies in the menu. Pad Thai with prawns had just 3 small prawns in it and loads of fish sauce, so it was salty and smelly.I will avoid this place in the future.
I dont recommend this place. The food smelled weird and was really plain in taste. Was extremely dissapointed because I love Thai food. :(
This is a street food type of place, literally at this point, due to COVID - you order through a small window and come back in 15 minutes or so to pick it up. The place doesn’t look too good, it’s not very noticeable, but the food is fresh and authentic. The level of spice can be adjusted to your liking and the cooks and servers are very nice. It’s not very expensive either - ca. 9€ for a main dish. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you are staying at one of the hotels in the area, and don’t feel like dining out at a sit-down restaurant.
The chicken pad si ew is really really good! They make their own fresh noodles for this dish. The pad Thai I agree with some other reviews, tastes a bit plain. But we really love the chicken pad si ew so tasty!!!! 9 euros per dish. Service is really nice!
I ordered Pad Thai. It tastes really plain in comparison to the one I had in Bangkok. They even forgot to put peanuts inside. Not authentic Not Great.
Got takeout pad thai here and it was very good if not spectacular. The location is on a busy street, so as other recommended, take a walk to the Isar to eat (15 minute walk).
Phad-Thai here is very tasty!! I recommend it.The price is ok. 10€ with 5 shrimps. Love that! There are not much tables and seats inside, and I prefer to sit outdoor. Good weather with good food indeed. Recommend!!
To be honest I didnt get a chance to try the food but wanted to write a review to combat the angry Vegan people. Sometimes restaurants cant accommodate vegan meals. You can ask about accommodations and if they cant, you move on. Not all restaurants have to change their authenticity to accommodate your needs. Most Asian cuisines are not vegan but Im sure some places try to cater towards that. So dont get mad when a place says its not authentic because truth is its not. Thanks!
This place has authentic Thai food. The restaurant/ kitchen is small and its nice to sit outside in the summer. The inside also has seats and tables but after dining inside your clothes will smell like a Thai restaurant. Its good for take out or siting outside. There are also a lot of asian markets next door if you want to make Thai food yourself its the best place to buy ingredients next door. The homemade noodles are delicious and nice and spicy. Definitely recommend this place for a taste of Thailand.
Best kept thai secret in town ! Excellent pad Thai !! Hole in the wall, tiny place can get crowded !
Was craving for some hot Asian food and found this amazing place! The restaurant was so full with people even though I got there quite early (like 18:15), and it got more customers when I was eating! This stir fried noodles were delicious but the noodles were slightly too soft and a tiny bit too oily. However I still liked it so much because the flavour was great and there were different veggies such as broccoli, carrot, onions, mushrooms etc!
Best Thai food experience in town. Authentic and high quality.
VEGANS DON’T BOTHERDoesn’t even deserve one star. We tried to order a noodle dish without egg, when the cook angrily yelled from the kitchen that it’s unauthentic, it’s not in their recipe and that they will not cook for vegans. The place wasn’t even busy, and smelled of ‘rank mop’.
Really great place. It feels super authentic to sit on those little metal stools on the curb, next to the street. The food is really, simply great. Now just thinking of it makes me wanna go again! If you order spicy, be aware that you get it. Thats a great thing if you like it hot - like me. It could cloud your experience if you simply like it a bit spicy - just saying 🚀
Recommended • tasty food, friendly service, good price level. It is a very small place, sometimes you have to wait to order and to catch a table.
Very tasty Pad Thai and authentic too! Not cheap for an Imbiss and takeaway (9-10€), but portions are quite big for that price 👍Will definitely come back and try other dishesSecond time here I tried wonderful but very spicy Papaya Salat (I usually like spicy food, but this time I had to ask for some rice to enjoy my salad). So, be careful when order something with 🌶🌶
Einfach geil! Simple good! Very good thai food and fair price and nice staffs! It brings you also a asian feeling of street food! Recommend!
Pad Thai may be more authentic here, but it is fairly bland. Not much taste in the sauce. The place is really small and can get very smokey and smelly, not a very good hood exhaust.
Incredibly authentic Thai. There are only about 8-10 seats, which makes it extremely comfortable. The food is as if it were taken from the streets of Bangkok. Also the seafood seems to be quite fresh. In summer you can also sit outside, which is recommended, as you quickly absorb the smell of the kitchen.
Authentic Thai Food, reasonably priced and really delicious. Red Thai Curry with Duck is my favorite. If there is no seating, go to their restaurant near the SBahn station. 😊
It was so good to have launch or dinner when you miss spicy asian food especially for Koreans!!
Just had a very BAD experience in this Imbiss Manam Thai Imbiss Rosenheimer PlatzWe offen went over... food was good though expensive we like the food.Today we waited over 45 minutes and others who came after us was severed, so my husband said just ask they must have forgotten. I went in and very politely I asked the Person who took the money if they have fogotten the person was nice an said yes you will get it. This WOMAN WHO WAS COOKING SAID Something in Thai which I did not understand and When the food came it had a funny taste and so spicy did not tast like it always did.....we could not eat.So I went and asked if I can pack it.The woman cooking in a very loud voice says I am the Chefen, and made your food like this BECAUSE YOU CAME AND ASKED if we forgot you. I was so SCHOKED with what she said that she made the food tasteless and spicy.. THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE. This is a very Bad thing to do to anyone. Very disappointing.. we and all your friends will never go there again absolutely BAD... very poor behavior to treat customers.I still cannot believe that she made the food taste Bad, because I asked if they have got gotten. I really do not feel good with my tummy.Besides all that glutamate...God knows what she really put in BAD BAD BAD Experience NEVER EVER GO THERE..This is how they packed the food for me.
The only Thai imbiss in Munich that offers noodle soup. The soup is a bit too salty and the noodle is not as tasty as in Thailand. Its acceptable though cuz not every ingredient can be found here. Weve been there many times, and every time the taste of the same food is slightly different.
Even though it was pretty upsetting experience, ill only provide facts for authentic review purpose for others.1Crowded restaurant. Initially told me to wait for 15-20 minutes.2After initial 30 min of waiting, went to ask for how much longer we need to wait. But did not get any apology nor response. Simply gave us frowned face.3About 10 minutes later, they were out of ingredients and did not accept any incoming customers accompanying smile + apology.4There were at least 5 sets of customers who ordered after us and got their food.5After 55 minutes, we went to them in person, and they pointed out a random pot claiming thats our food being cooked. The next thing they said when i asked we waited way too long, they immediately responded with, do you want your money back with stern face. And then, their apology was, sorry with neck sticking out looking straight at our face and with loud voice. These are simply what happened.
In my favourites list for Munich! This is an amazing small place with great food. If you cant a place to sit, get a takeaway and go eat it by the river :)
Most authentic Thai dishes!!Price range: 7-10€
Great food, fast service fair price.
Best place to get Thai street foodI always come here for Thai noodles (they are of course different from Chinese noodle so please dont generalise that all Asian noodles are the same). Reasonable price however, the place is quite small so sometimes you need to share table with stranger but anyway that is the essence of street food
