What an amazing park. This should be on everyones bucket list. Absolutely beautiful. 💯% recommended!
Best national park in Zimbabwe
Surreal park. Visited this amazing place back in 2013 with my dad, brother, and uncle. It was one of the best times Ive had in my life. Setting up the camp, going on a tour by the evening, and seeing lots of game. I remember that we were bbqing one night, and the hyenas came so close to me that I could almost touch them. All in all, a surreal and amazing experience which I will never forget.
The most beautiful place, an untainted Eden. Words cannot begin to describe how transcendent Mana Pools National Park is. It is one of Zimbabwes national treasures which ensures an experience of a lifetime. Hotspot for wildlife, fishing, safaris and camping. There are lodges available for those who are less camping savvy but it is very difficult to get bookings due to the high demand. Ultimate Savannah adventure.
You should come
Beautiful national park with spectacular birding opportunities, depending on the time of year that you visit. One of the few places where you can self-drive, but I certainly wouldnt advise it, given the condition of roads, and the prolific wildlife there. No cell signals or internet anywhere, but with all that natural beauty around, you dont even miss it! Loved staying at Nyamatusi Camp, run by African Bush Camps!
Beautiful
All good
It’s a Beautiful Park With Sort of Animals
Loved it
Its a great place to disconnect to the rest of the world. You get to rest....fish...wild life veiwing. Its a great place
An awesome place, unique!
Mana is a unique wilderness area!Dont hesitate to tick that box
Depending on the time of year you go it is exceptional. The game is amazing, we saw Eland, Boswell the elephant (along with other elephants), 4 species of bee-eaters (in one spot by the river), 8 buffalo, leopard among other wonderful sightings. I recommend it 100 % whether camping or staying at one of the various safari camps.
An old world class tourist resort. Both game viewing and fishing available. It is along the mighty Zambezi River.
This is as natural as it gets, true nature lovers will not be disappointed. The Fauna and Flora is exquisite and leaves you breathless
Mana pools got its name from the natural made 4 pools. Its a hive of activity from Jan to Dec .On accomodation you selcts what suits your pocket from lodges ,tented camps and campsites.lts self catering so you bring your own food of your choice. On activities there is unguided walks and guided. There is also fishing along the nighty Zambezi river ,also guided and in guided game drives. On guided drives and walk you are provided a well trained guide to move or walk around the park for a small norminal fee. There is also a workshop Incase you have a break down and a staff canteen in case you run out of your supply.
Loved it for its wildness but it can be scary too, no boundaries
Its a place to visit at least once in a lifetime
one of the most beautiful resorts in the northern region
Its a great place indeed
100% peaceful
True beauty of nature. The air is different. It was worth the 1,306km drive to and fro twice..., in 2017 and in 2019. I most certainly will go again till Ive slept in every accommodation there is. #TRUTH.You dont necessarily look for game, its always walking about close by.Highly recommended for 100% nature lovers.
The pots here are amazing! Excellent regen for the buck. Best mana in the world. 10/10.
The Mana Pools National Park is a beautiful area with lots of game when you go on safari notably the endangered wild dogs and elephants. There are many impala, lions and baboons as well as other antelope. You will find basic camps to luxury camps or if you prefer you can do a self drive and find accommodation in a campsite. There is a drought right now so its very dry and some animals are suffering terribly. You will leave your heart here.
This has been on our bucket list for years and finally managed to make a booking. Game excellent despite the drought. The 1st 30ks pretty rough going, but worth it.
Amazing game especially on the river. Birding fantastic. Look for lilians lovebirds!!
Mana Pools is possibly one of the last places in the wild where one can get close to animals in their own habitat. Not from a car window or a hotel room or through the binoculars, but walking past as you eat breakfast and skulking around your tent as you sleep. The game is used to people and very mild, so its a game-viewing, bird-watching paradise.Facilites leave much to be desired, but if you go prepared, it is well worth the long trip. Fuel is a problem, so if you would like a shower, take some petrol for their pump. An electric, battery powered `fence of some sort is advisable. Good torches. A good camera. Anti malarials and sunblock.Beware the monkeys - they are professional thieves and not afraid of people. Neither are the hyena. If an elephant strolls up to you while you are sitting in your deck chair, just sit still and dont move. Dont assume you can encroach into their space because they are encroaching into `yours.Absolutely NO citrus fruit. The ellies will turn your trailer over to find it.I spent a week there and, apart from some challenges, absolutely loved the time.
Zambezi Expeditions - Mana pools National Park.
Actually i am working at Buya Bamba Potatoes from Lusaka ok
Great forest with plenty of elephants, impala hippos and lions.
Very nice place still experiencing bush life and natural resources
Nice national park which is open for both self guides and guided tours of the park.
Absolutely breathtaking! This is one of the most beautiful places on earth; undisturbed nature in all of its glory. The bird life is extraordinary, the foliage is wonderful, but the wildlife is unparalleled! Beware of cheeky monkeys and baboons that will steal your things, especially fruit. You do have to be careful, especially if youre camping because theres no separation between the game reserve and the camp site, but the experience it creates is unbeatable!
You can see a lot of wild animals in Mana Pools national park its a good place to be if you are interested in wild animals
I like this place because of number of games you can see if you visit this place its so amazing you cant think to go at any place either you mist be the first person to come and Ill take you on every game you wish to see youre most welcome
Gods own garden. Beautiful place to escape and see natures true glory.
Plsce that mustbe visited a wildlife heritage
owesome hide away, excellent views, astounding wildlife and breathtaking scenes, close range elephant views and beautiful Zambezi sunset
Possibly the wildest experience you can have in Africa. The wet season sees game disperse into the bush making big cat sighting difficult but the bush is truly transformed, green and filled with plenty of herbivores. In winter, game is forced to the river, making wildlife interaction extremely intense between predators and prey. The wildlife in Mana has none very little hunting and as a result has very little fear of humans, allowing abnormally close interactions on foot. My only tip is take a lodge over camping (in green season(same costas monkeys and baboons are problematic.
With wild animals roaming freely, you have to be careful. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the Zambezi River.
Beautiful national park thats not very crowded. You get the feeling of being in the true, remote African wilderness.
Though the GPS says Mana Pools National Park, the pics are taken on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe (more on the Zambian Side)
Not very busy park which is nice. Walking tour was cool although didnt see much. Ablutions available at camp sites.
You can see a lot of wild animals in Mana Pools national park its a good place to be if you are interested in wild animals
This is one of the most treasured places in Zimbabwe. Should you get the chance to visit, please be aware of the environment and do your utmost to protect this park by adhering to all the rules.Mana Pools name is derived from the word Mana meaning four. The four pools are important life sustaining reservoirs in the dry season and are usually home to hippo and crocodiles. The Zambezi river feeds the pools and runs along the main perimeter of the park. The Zimbabwe side of the Zambezi is the most beautiful and unfortunately some motor boats from the Zambian side like to illegally fish or boat on the Zim side. If this were enforced more it would be much better for the park. You are going to see elephant, hippo, lion, buffalo, leopard and numerous other animals. 3 nights would be the minimum I would spend here. Ideally four or five nights.
