Great burger and clean. When we went back again they told me they were closed for nine months? They let us sit in the parking lot for 20 minutes and waited for to come to the door? Their sign had not been updated.

Simple, but truly great. An otherwise unassuming burger joint that really does burgers, fries/tots, and shakes right. If you want that crisp on your burger and that OHYEAH in every bite, this is the place. Just come through and let loose because you’ll want it all. And with unbeatable prices, what’s stopping you? There’s a reason the walls are adorned with “Best Of” accolades. You’re gonna want Mama Burger to be your mama too.

New to Flagstaff, and I loved everything about this spot! I get cheeseburger cravings all the time, and a friend recommended this restaurant when I had “sampled” aka stole (ha!a few of their fries outa her to-go box left on the kitchen table. Impressive that a small local biz can compete against the fast food chains. That’s rare! I got the chulula burger, which was just spicy enough to get that little thrilling tingle, but didn’t have me choking. These are the right size too, cuz I tend to have a smallish appetite & other places stuff too much bulky meat in their burgers. It washed down pleasantly with Barq’s root beer (which is the best brand, in my humble opinion). The price was low; the quality & freshness, high! The music hit the spot, also! Classic rock!! One last detail about the service itself, that particularly struck me: I couldn’t help but notice the customer in line right ahead of me (who was a senior citizen & seemed to maybeee have some sort of speech impediment or mental illness?was treated SO kindly by the cashier taking his order. She was very sweet & patient with him, even while he was fumbling with his wallet; made eye contact & genuinely smiling while he was making up his mind what he wanted to eat. *Moments like THAT* honestly convince me, I’d much rather spend my money here where they employ thoughtful human hearts vs. somewhere else that would prioritize getting the food out quick as possible, over caring for their guest. 100% check this place out! —Sat. ~4pm. Best Burger in Flagstaff, great bunch of people working there. I’m sad that end of day the business will close for remodelling

I guess I made a mistake of going inside. It was like stepping into a dungeon full of flies and spiders that are gonna fight you for your food. But not after you wait for half an hour to an hour to get a burger. Why do they serve your shake immediately? They want you to drink it when it’s melted by the time your food is made. Overall though, burgers were ok. But not ok enough for the wait and filth you have to go through.

Great food, great service and reasonable prices. One of the employees (Austinthat helped us was kind and very friendly. Great locally owned burger joint, worth the wait if they are busy

Great Burgers, great atmosphere I was told they were best in town, and I would agree! So delicious, the whole family had no complaints about eating there again the next night. They do allow dogs on the patio, which is fairly roomy with 3-4 tables.

Omg! Soooo good! Hailing from Wisconsin, I know a thing or 2 about cheese... amazing cheeseburgers! Some of the best ever in our lives! Fries and tots were great. Well be back!

Burger, shakes and fries. It was good and simple. Tons of different combos for the burgers and shakes so you can craft something you want. The price is good too for these type of burgers with the toppings you get.

If you want the locals choice go to Mama’s! With views of Mount Humphreys, seating outside when it’s nice and good ol fashioned malted milk shakes come here for the taste of Flagstaff! While your at it, try the Blue Vader burger!

Theres so many different burgers here and the original is really tasty. The pickles have a unique light flavor that reminds me of the great delis in LA. Although when I use the drive through I can usually see 2 bags of drive-thru getting cold on the counter because the drive-thru takes so long. My fries lose their hotness before I even get them.

This is the best local fast-ish burger and fries youll find.

I cant believe it took me so many years to stop. Ive always seen how many people go in and now I know why. AMAZING food and great prices. It will be a family stop on every trip. Almost glad we dont live here or Id need a job here!!

ITS WORTH THE WAITUsually, this place has an extraordinarily long line but is 100 percent worth it. The burger was juicy, the sauce was great, and the boatload of fries is a TON of fries easily split between 2-3 people, the shakes are also very creamy and rich in flavor. Overall, if you want truly the best burger in Flagstaff, please head over to Mama Burger!

It is hard to live up to nostalgia. When I was in High School this burger place was THE place to go at lunch and we had some great times there. That was then, and back then the Circle K was across the street where you could go grab an icee. Today the circle k is gone, and the magic of the burger place is not the same. Burger is OK for the price. Overall not the quality that will bring me back. There are better local options.

Just passing thru and not too many burger places have fresh cut fries (not frozen)… glad y’all did cuz this was the best burger I’ve had in awhile! Fries coulda been a lil crispier, but that burger was amazing. Good job!! My mom wondered why we went so far off the highway but after eating this burger, she understood! Good reviews brought us to your door so I wanted to help out the next traveler that’s hungry for an old fashioned burger. 5 stars!

Have had positive experiences in the past, but my husband and I got food poisoning when we went last night unfortunately. We also got the wrong order, but decided to eat it anyway. Probably wont be returning.

Awesome burger joint just off the beaten path in Flagstaff. This gem is easily one of the best, if not the best, burger in Flag. Bleu Vader is a must try. Tots and a malt shake of your flavor.

Stopped here while staying in Flagstaff for the night. We ordered the 66er, A1 mushroom Swiss, guacamole burger, cholula burger, and mama burger. The food was delicious and filling. Kids really enjoyed the shakes.

Was a great experience. Have been gone for 2 years. Still the same great service and food is always 👌. Cole was great. Very respectful and made it feel like coming home. Truly what most of Flagstaff is missing.

Best place for Burger and fries. Their sweet potato fries are amazing. I have a service dog and Cole was quick to ask about the service dog making sure it was legal to be inside and was accommodated for. Cole was very understanding. We appreciate this not enough people ask or enforce the laws. Everyone was very courteous and prompt. It could not be more of a happy environment. Food is always fantastic and its always very clean. Best in Flagstaff for both staff and food. Thank you.

Great local Flagstaff smash burger. Three tables outside, quite a few inside. Nice build your own burger option and 3 options for a side (fries, sweet potato fries, or tots).

Worse hamburger Ive ever eaten. Horrible. Meat had an odd nasty taste to it. Shake was no better. Couldnt drink it. Threw mine away as did my wife did too. How do you ruin a shake ?? Im in no way at all a.picky eater. Will eat most anything. This was bad

Easily the best place in flagstaff for a burger! Weve even tried a variety of places in the valley and they just cant compete. I absolutely adore their Kahuna burger! And their milkshakes are always a perfect pairing! If theres a wait...its worth iiiit

Stopped here while in town. We got the bacon guacamole burger, the 66er burger, a boatload of tater tots and a Oreo cookie shake! The shake was my favorite! I didn’t want to share with my boyfriend, hah! The boatload of tater tots were perfectly cooked! The burgers were good too! The customer service was great! The man who took our order was patient and helped us order! The woman at the window was sweet and funny! We even had a funny moment when she got my boyfriend after he said we just came back from seeing the canyon. She said “oh the little one?” He laughed! I said “ yea the little one in the corner!” He kept laughing “the grand one!” Thank you! He kept laughing about that after we drove away!

I didn’t know drive thru burgers could be this good! The tasty burgers were matched by the amazing shakes (we had Oreo and chocolate banana). We tried both the tater tots and the sweet potato fries and we preferred the tots but both were good! This is a must stop place if you are in Flagstaff!

Delicious burgers!! Friendly and quick service as well.The drive thru line itself might take a while but its worth it, once you get there you barely wait for your order.(I might suggest pairing with fries over the tots)

They only offer drive thru due to Covid right mow. We waited 10in even though yhe line seemed long. Nice local burger place with good shakes. We ordered mama burger with guac but they forgot to put guac even though they repeated many times.

The woman who took our order was so patient and accurate with us, and the man at the window was up beat and kind. The food was amazing, I just kept saying “Wow” while eating my Cholula Burger. Partner got the Bacon Guacamole and he loves it, little one got the grilled cheese.

Only open for drive thru, so just went to Wheeler park to eat my meal. Great burger as I had the A1 Swiss Mushroom and a good milk shake

Their food is good, but I consistently get mistakes in my order. It’s annoying when I want fries and I get a bunch of stuff thrown in haphazardly. If you think you’re doing a nice thing maybe ask first because it’s not going to be always welcome. Other things like getting Oreos and chunks of other things like chocolate in my vanilla shakes even though my boyfriend is allergic to chocolate -which, I don’t think I need to specify to get what I asked for. I just feel like they have a problem towards attention to detail but otherwise their food is pretty decent. Tldr:service could use work

Mixed experience, but burgers were great so kept 3 stars. Service was not ideal since their "closed for cleaning" appeared more like a break time for the employees who were all showing back up after they were done. Maybe Im misreading it but closing midday to "clean" with partial crew raises more questions than alleviates....

One of the best burgers I’ve ever had! The MOAB “Mutha Of All Burgers” from Mama Burger in Flagstaff comes with 2 patties, French fries, green chiles, bacon, cheddar cheese, house sauce, pickles, jalapeños, lettuce & tomato. So damn good! A must visit when in Flagstaff, AZ.

Good; satisfactory; alot more $$$ than inn and out prices; fresh; misses the mark on lettuce - using romaine which wilts w heat; misses the edge with bacon that tastes like bacon bits; burgers are wrapped in a foil paper which steams the poor burger further on take out; SUGGestion— use iceberg; Real bacon; and wax burger wrap letting it breathe in an open box— or bag

Been meaning to stop by this place after every trip up the mountain but for some reason have always missed out. Not this time. After working up an appetite boarding all day, decided to finally drop in and pay this place a visit. And Im glad I did!Im not sure if it was just because I was so hungry, but one thing is for sure, the burgers here are on point. Great combos (got the hatch chili + bacon, and it was delish). Also, the fries were perfectly cooked/salted. 🍟🍔🤤Just bummed I didnt get a shake. Oh well, theres always next time.

I ordered the MOAB. I liked it but I expected more based on the ratings and recommendations from a few locals. The burger is good and big but I dont think its great.

The best burger in Arizona! Nice staff, awesome food, good prices. If you are in Flagstaff dont hesitate ro visit Mama Burger and order a MoaB (Mutha of all Burgers). Authentic atmosphere of classic american diners.

Best burger place in Flagstaff! I got the 66er, never had fries on a burger before.. it was the bomb! Best burger Ive ever had. Seriously. Patty was cooked perfectly, bbq sauce was killer, fries were off the hook! I also got a chocolate Butterfinger peanut butter shake. Best shake Ive ever had, forget Sonic lol 2 burgers, tots, and a shake under $20.. its hard to eat at McDonalds for that. Do yourself a favor, head over there.

Can’t believe we’ve never had this place before given how often we come up here. They were mildly busy when we came, but we still able to find a seat (the indoor seating area is kind of small). The food came out nice and fast. They make their own fries (much like in-n-outbut they taste much, much better. Parking could be kind of a pain in the butt because the lot looked small, there may be parking on the street, but there was snow everywhere.

Hot dog this place is sweet! It’s Usually busy, but sweet. The burger was stellar and it came in good time. The shake was also quality. I think what I like about this place the best is that it’s an affordable hangout in a city that cheaper places are becoming rare. I will come back here when I come back through.

I arrived 20min before closing and they didnt say anything. Great start.Then I ordered their Bleu Vader burger with sweet potato fries... Its the freaking best burger I had in a long time.The fries were delicious too.Look at the photo, look how the steak outsizes the bun.If you want to have an DELICIOUS burger at a great price, look no further.

Tasty burgers, and whats better its close to route 66.. stopped after the Humphrey peak ski lift trip for some grub.. did I mention they have a beautiful view of Humphrey peak, take the farthest row of seats from the billing counter, facing the entrance and on your right is the peak..

Ive been here twice now and both visits have been awesome. The various burger choices and add-ons are great. I had the Choula burger w/sweet potato fries and unlimited root beer soda. As much as the food is delicious, the views of the San Francisco Peaks is so beautiful you get lost in conversation and picture taking. Definitely recommend this place as the staff here are friendly and conversational.

Good place for a quick lunch/dinner. We got the Kahuna & the Bacon guacamole burger + a boat load of tater tots. I hear the milkshakes are great! The seating & parking is very limited. During a busy time, prepare to wait. Its not the best value for what you get, but they do have a pretty decent menu.
