Mama's Restaurant in Moncton

Threatened to get directly attacked by the staff, definitely a easy one star review. The day shift handles their customers with ease but night shift might aswell be run by toddlers. Daytime, definitely a place I would recommend, anytime after 10 steer as far away as possible. I couldnt imagine going to a restaurant where the employees actually attack their customers my friend who just wanted a slice of pizza was viciously attacked for absolutely no reason. Definitely makes downtown seem like more of an unsafe area at night and wont be returning.

Food is delicious, we ordered 2 medium donairs & mozzarella sticks, portion is big, its mentioned that its halal place but serving alcohol😳, I believe halal & alcohol dont mix🤔🤔

I moved to Moncton 11 months ago from Toronto and I have been missing the shawarma there so much, this one hit the spot!!! The shawarma platter was absolutely amazing! The baklava was also very good! Will order again.

Situated in the heart of Moncton downtown. This is hands down the best donair shawarma I’ve had. With large portion sizes even for a medium sized shawarma. The food is halal. Also delicious. I am from Toronto and just moved to Moncton. Please review the updated menu. I will be visiting again soon.

Inadvertently dropped into this restaurant, with my wife, a couple weeks ago. We had planned on patronizing a different local but found they were closed.This inadvertently allowed us to experience this fine restaurant for the first time.Being a pizza place we decided upon trying out their specialty, pizza.I ordered the Hawaiian while my wife chose some vegetarian selection (dont ask me what).We both enjoyed our selection. I also enjoyed the restaurant ambiance and the setting which allowed for my watching of people.Great service, selection and setting.Server even went out of her way to bring over napkins and even suggested, what she thought, might be a better sitting position.The image (very artistic reditionupon their wall interior brought, to my mind, scenes of alien scenery. I do have a wild imagination.

Best shish kebabs ever. As a child I’d eaten many very terrible shish kebabs that were hard as rubber. I went with my friend yesterday and I was very impressed. Tender, juicy, and well seasoned.

Great pizza. Affordable price. One of the best in town. Toppings are fresh, sauce is flavourful and decent base. Donairs are good, can be greasy sometimes but still worth a shot.

We were searching for a place to eat before a concert at Avenir Centre. Most restos were fully booked or closed and we walked by this place a couple of times before going in. Its a bit run down with a greasy spoon vibe, but food quality was very good. I had the calzone shawarma which was excellent. My spouse had falafel with fries, and the fries were terrific. Not fine dining, but excellent value and quality.

The owner/staff, i am not sure does not care about the customer. I went to pick up my order. They started preparing it when i was there. Moreover the staff is more busy in looking at girls that visit the restaurant. There is no sign of cleanliness in the restaurant l. Strange smell as you enter. Never going here again.

I bought a plate that only came with 2 littles kebabs and a bunch of fries and a salad for 18 dollars.I thought it was expensive for the low quality.

We dropped in during a snow storm and were quite impressed with their specialty pizzas! The gentleman behind the counter was polite and accommodating. Great experience overall!

Good Pizza Taste and The price are reasonable. Compare to some pizza leading brands (papajohns or dominos), this might be best Local pizza place in town, way better than those pizza out there.

Last night i ordered two pizzas on phone as this restraurant was opened till late night. We were having party so when i went there to pick up food for party they said we didnt made it. He said we dont have your order here. Then was telling me to pay first so i can start order.Worst experience ever already i was late for party nd they made me more late

I am not sure what is happening with the rude service, I know when I got at noon, the lady at cash is very sweet and polite, so maybe go around that time. The Cesar salad had a surprisingly good sauce, I also recommend the shawarmas and donair. The greek yogurt based shawarma sauce is especially good. The fried chicken was dry when I tried it however.

I should have listened to the most recent review left... called to make an order and had the worst experience ever. I have never been spoken to so rudely when trying to purchase something from anywheres. Very uncooperative and hard to deal with. The conversation ended with me being hung up on for no reason at all as I was being very polite....I couldn’t even imagine showing up to deal with them in person.

The food is really oily and isn’t the best but to make it worse there are many bars nearby. Therefore there were many disgusting people in from bars here in the restaurant. In conclusion I don’t recommend this place since there isn’t a point of the restaurant being halal when there are so many inappropriate people on this place.

Solid! Good airy, non-greasy crust, just the right amount of "chewiness" and when I saw their shawarma plates I knew the shawarma pizza would be legit.Good specials. The guy answering the phone sounded like he was not having a great day but my order was exactly as requested, he answered all my questions, the food was awesome and a great value.Give this place a shot! I dare say youll be pleased. Ill definitely be ordering here again.

Authentic flavors. Decor is not that nice but the food makes up for it. All the menu is worth a try, but the shawarma and the souvlaki are amazing. This place is the UNDERDOG trust me its legit.

its decent. .i wouldnt call it a restaurant. its like a pizza shop more than anything they have delivery drivers coming in and out.there is very limited seating.honestly the place is nothing special the food is a bit overpriced but it is decent.

Cheapest place to get a massive slice of pizza downtown during lunch.Not the best pizza in town but its a solid choice and you get a big portion for the money.They have a lot of other food choices and desserts.

Me and my girlfriend ordered yesterday from Mamas pizzaand there was no donair sauce on the donair and the fries were cooked twice in the fryer and taste like burnt french fries which was gross and and we spent like 50$ tho skip the dish.

Easily one of the best pizza places in moncton. Great service and food, its atmosphere makes it a fantastic spot to sit and have a drink with some friends. I always try to go there whenever I am in town.

Not the best felafel I’ve ever had, but it beats getting Subway or any chain food any day. My friends got pizza and it looked pretty good. They’re open late and have vegetarian options 👍

I was very disappointed with my experience with Mamas. The 16" pepperoni pizza was undercooked, so much so that I needed to put it in my oven longer to eat it. More disappointing was the sauce, which was lacking any sort of spice and flavour. Even at the 50% off deal I felt the value was poor; do not even consider ordering from here at full price. You would be better off with dominos.

If you seek for real plate of hummus made by the place, so its not there. They have Costcos hummus. Also the shishkabab is pretty regular. I would say its fast food style more than restaurant, but the prices are restaurants

The chicken shawarma plate is amazing! I asked for half rice and half fries - both the fries and rive were delicious! Also, the chicken was amazing and tender. I also ordered a hummus plate on the side, which came with some chopped cucumber and tomatoes and pita. Was delicious! The vibe is like a Lebanese bar - it’s not an upscale place, but the food is delicious. Half the restaurant is also a bar with Tv screens with sports channel!

I been here 4 times since I was told to go by a friend of mine at work. Tried a chicken poutine and it was massive, and damn good. I eat a lot and I wasnt able to eat it. Tried a regular poutine 2 weeks ago and it was pretty good too.Couple days later I went in and got a slice of pizza and it was huge. Definitely hit the spot for $6 with a pop. Went in today to get another slice of pizza, and they had none but I got half off on a medium pizza, so I was happy with that.So far everything I have had there has been pretty spot on. Only thing that bugs me is that the menu is a bit inconsistent. I wanted a lasagna a few days ago and they said they didnt have any. That made me a bit annoyed tbh but I have no issue with the quality and quantity of food for your money.

Ive been to this spot a few times. Its perfectly acceptable pizza.Prices are pretty good but there is a consistency problem. But whenever you can grab a big slice and pop for about $6 I cant complain.Their donair is the star though. Spicy, shaved properly, sauce is good. Top notch in the city for sure.

Pro: Good drunk food. pizza for 5$ a slice and by slice I mean a quarter of a pizza size. Cons: I was annoyed when I asked for cheese pizza because Im a vegetarian and they said they werent making any but that I could get a pepperoni and pick it off. Excuse me?! No! I am a serious vegetarian I dont want meat juice soaked pizza that is picked apart.

Great big pizza Slice downtown perfect for after the bars and they are open until 3 AM on weekends. The owner also gives free food to the homeless at certain times of the day it very nice of him.

Eh, not bad. There are probably a bunch of better places to eat in the area. We had 2 kids w us (12 and 4 yrs old), so we wanted someplace quicker and w kid friendly good. The pizza was good. The slice you can buy is definitely a large one! Overall, it was average. Being from N.Y., maybe Im spoiled when it comes to pizza. It wasnt bad, just wasnt great.

The worst pizza I have ever had in my life! Very stale and bland which makes no sense seeing that is was lunch hour and it should have been fresh. Not even hot and it made me feel sick! The cashier wasnt great either. She would rather be on her phone or going next door for a drink then ve a good server

On the outside, this place looks like a crappy, hole-in-the wall pizza place. When you walk inside, its clean but theres nothing special about it. But the pizza!! There is a chicken shawarma pizza that I have an unhealthy obsession with. I would recommend getting a 12 inch to go, eat half and store the other half beside the bed. Its there for you in the morning when you wake up. Best breakfast in bed EVER!
