The place is used to be very busy in previous years. There were only very few people on Saturday night. It was very quiet and we liked it. Nice slow musics were played. The food was tasty. The staff who has served us was active and friendly.I hope they will work on to return back the busiess.

Came here on Valentine’s Day with my husband, the service was terrible. First of the waitress don’t know what they have and don’t have so after 2 minutes they will come to say they don’t have that, you can be hungry or thirsty they don’t care, the waitress have attitude when they are asked about the service and lastly when the food arrives it’s cold! And there wasn’t even many customers to be served for them to be busy And the manager is no where to be seen, worst Valentine’s Day ever!

If you really want to have an Ethiopian healthy food, you can go to Mamas Kitchen. Enjoy it.

Excellent food but poor service

They called the cops in order to make us pay even though they made the mistake with pricing as well as brought me a soggy disgusting pizza I had no choice but to throw it away. This place is nothing but a joke. The police was obviously getting half the pay so I see why they were willing to push the issue but in all honesty this place is horrible. If your ordering from here BEWARE! ( They will EXTORT you )

I love how you can get good food and drink at the same place. The music is not so loud , allows you to talk each other.It’s a good place to hangout with friends.Their food is tasty, but a bit expensive.Good interior look as well.

I attended this restaurant 2 days ago and had the buffet lunch which was delicious. Staff were very attentive, friendly and eager to please. The place was light, bright and airy.So impressed was I that I decided to go back yesterday (19 December 2019to sample the evening menu.The room was so dark, we couldnt read the menu, but this wasnt a major issue, and when our meals arrives we asked to be moved to a table directly under the light as we could not see what we were eating.I ordered half a roast chicken with roast potatoes (potato wedges). The chicken was extremely dry and overcooked and I struggled to swallow it. I told the waiter who took it away, chopped it up and smothered it with sauce and brought it back, even though I told him that this would not solve the problem. Eventually I gave up trying as it was getting stuck in my throat. Not even water would shift it. I told the waiter that I could not eat it.When the bill arrived, I was amazed to seee the full cost of my meal. I asked to see the manager twice, and spoke to two people, and its doubtful that either was a manager as the lack of customer service/managerial training was apparent. I even invited one of them to try the meal which funnily enough he declined.They insisted that there was nothing they could do as they had already prepared the bill. Basically they were not at all concerned that a full plate of food was still on the table because it was inedible. They suggested making me a new dish which I was not at all interested in, also if was now 9 pm.Bad food sometimes happens, but bad customer service and a dont care attitude should never be tolerated.I will never visit this establishment again.

Went to this place, the one located at welosefer, with family. Very neat, cozy with a nice bar but was disgusted by what i saw, i saw a waitress leaving the restroom with out washing her hands, what disgust me more was after i adress the situation to the manager, which is later learn that was not the real manager, she came to our table and told me that what i told the manager was not right she was in the bathroom using a phone,which is a lie coz i heard a flush sound, regardless i tried to explain it to her she still has to wash her hands since she use the door handle to get in and out the bathroom she has the obligation to do so as an employee, she still insist im wrong after i explain it to her and was very disrespectful, the so called manager couldn’t handle the situation, and we left the place with disappointment.Oh did i mention about the towel that she use to clean the tables was hanging out from her back pocket while she was in the rest room? .The employee need to be educated the importance of washing hands. I rather eat in a clean and safe restaurant with no fancy bar and fancy lights.

I love this place . They have good food and music. They have a coffee ceremony place for JEBENA COffee,, the worker her name is Melkite is the Worst have really bad attitude and bad customer service . Disrespect me. She ignored me while she is taking care of her loyal friends and she told me it will take 2 hours to make a coffee . I asked for her manager form the reception he was not no where to find . Anyways some one have to change her otherwise she will kill the business. So far so good .

I was in Mamas Kitchen for 2 weeks and I enjoyed my stay , The room was very comfortable in every way….I was impress with the overall standard of the hotel and the exceptional service from there staffs , Hana Habte recommends the hotel and I will certainly be staying there again ! !

Great food. Friendly staff. Live band with good local music. Very few non-Ethiopian songs in the DJs selection.

Even if the place is not bad, infact a bit cosy, the service is very slow, and the food was cold and unsatisfying on top of that that make us pay more than the price stated on the menu with a reason "old menu", its an over rated place in my opinion

Just good for drinks and hanging. Great location, nice interior design, attentive staff. Meat was chewy and hard to bite, portions were small. Locals rarely eat here. Bar and club is adjacent to the restaurant and offer more nightlife.

A surprisingly good restaurant combining Ethiopian and western food. They have a couple of extra branches one of which has been mentioned in the Guardian for its musical scene and the Jazz music played.

This bar has everything that you need and nothing that you dont. Where else would you find a live band Monday to Monday.

This little restaurant is an anomaly within Ethiopia service culture.The girls girls that work there are always happy and attentive. Also the food arrives quickly and hot which in itself is rare. This must be down to good management, I recommend it highlyeen several times in the last three months and food is good and service is very good. The only complaint when we went there yesterday was no mussels. The only reason I wanted to go there yesterday was because they serve mussels. I ordered them but the waitress came back and said they did not have any. Very disappointed.

This is the worst place to be very unprofessional management .you only have few beer options+ the requirement for dress code is unbelievable

At first the menu appeared too limited but then we discovered they also have a pizza menu and some day offers. The food we ordered was delicious, the portions have a good size and the price was way lower than expected. Service was outstanding: as a vegetarian I even got the option to order a side dish of vegetables that were not in the menu. The ambient is amazing, they have and extensive bar with a vast variety of alcoholic drinks that included draft St. George beer. Both on Sundays and Mondays they have live music in the night. A great spot to be repeated and recommended!
