It is a great place to visit whether with children or not
Beautiful place to be at for relaxing and refreshing
Wonderful its a must see
Excellent outdoors camping site, perfect for enjoyment of life and environment away from busy city life.
Its breathtakingly beautiful. Do however plan your hikes for early morning. It gets very very hot
Closest one can be to nature. Different trails for different levels of fitness. Beautifull look out points with water clear enough to drink. Stunning waterfalls with vary levels of difficulty to reach.
Good place to be visited with friends and family, enjoying the beautiful of the environment and sweet voice of bird
A place to be, come and enjoy the mountains
Awesome weekend I had with my queen
Grape Escape 2022 - what a wonderful event in a beautiful location! 🍇
This places its so cold but great experiences for fresh air
Nice place to look for birds, the trail is missing but easy enough to figure it out
Fantastic area. Nature at its best
Beautiful rock formations. Unspoilt land. Easy hikes.
Fabulous national park with spectacular views, hiking trails, campgrounds and picnic spots. Highly recommend spending 2-3 days to enjoy the beauty it presents!
Some staff seem very disorganizedI made bookings for fishing with SiboneloThe office had no record of my bookingStunningly beautiful
A ride up the mountain in a GWM P Series 2x4, a real experience. Scary, though, in rainy and snowing conditions.Pleasant SAPS and Home affairs personnel at the SA Border gate.
Amazing location and a well kept area
Monks Cowl, World Heritage Site, Reserve.
Absolutely amazing hike.
Lovely people and lovely place, fun for the whole family
What a stunning destination. I enjoyed the friendly staff and the beautiful mountain surroundings. Really worth the visit. With some snow on the high peaks and the grass show new growth after winter and fire, the Winter landscape made for a different kind of beauriful landscape.
Not for the faint hearted, one needs to be fit to attempt the hike
The tourism shop should have have staff willing to answer questions, instead of looking uninterested in tourists.
Great area for entire family;Walkers can cross border into Lesotho for serious hiking;Wonderful accommodation at Bushmans Nek Resort;Camping at Silverstream;Anyone who loves the countryside, and doesnt need to be entertained will enjoy the area. The Trading Post equals tea and delicious carrot cake! Peaceful place to have a break.Never stayed at the camping/chalet sight but it always looks clean and inviting.A beautiful area of the Drakensberg.
Spectacular mountain views some with snow on its peaks
Incredibly beautiful, very technical hike to the top of the Mnweni mountain. Not for the inexperienced.
Stunning will be going to camp there
The highest, and certainly the most beautiful mountain range in South Africa. This particular part of the range is spectacular, even though it doesnt always get the same mention as Cathedral Peak or Giants Castle. A must visit for nature lovers.
Its a really awesome trail and a great vibe 😊
Drove through the SANI pass, we couldn’t get far as the road got really bad, a 4x4 is really needed for this trip, amazing views.
One can only rate this 5 stars as its one of Gods master piece. The area is quite and allows you to relax and unwind from the busy city. Go on a hike (light or strenuousvisit caves, do fly fishing or have a picnic. There is much to do in Drakensberg and this should be on your list of South African travels.
One of the best campsites in the Drakensberg. Very Basic and quite hilly but small and quite and easy access to some of the best views in Africa
What an absolute gem. We LOVED it here and cant wait to go back. Its a long gravel road but the nature around you and the hikes you can go on are well WELL worth it.
A wonderful experience touring up Sani pass. If you dont have a reliable 4x4 take a tour. The views of the mountain range are spectacular. Even got to see a frozen waterfall as it was winter. Our tour included a short horse ride through the mountain villages which allowed us to absorb the scenery. Great experience.
Very friendly and knowledgeable guides. Reliable and clean cars. We enjoyed it.
Beutifull veiw over the mountans ,nice and tidy charlets, frendly and very helpfull staff and great food
One of my favourite places in the world. Always leave feeling inspired and at peace. Cant wait to go back again.
Awsome part of the berg.. The only bad thing about it is that there are lots of people that walk those trails so the pools and points of interest can get very crowded.
Long term hiking, very nice environment, buth very bath indicated, even with the map it is difficult to find the mentioned way!
Great mountain experience. Amazing sights. Warm days and cold nights but worth every bit :-)
One of the most magical places in South Africa. Nothing beats the views of the majestic Drakensberg towering over the Maluti mountains. Weather is very unpredictable, so make sure you are always prepared for all seasons. It is without a doubt though, one of the most spectacular destinations within South Africa. Some places require high ground clearance vehicle, but most is accessible otherwise.
Beautiful area, hike estimates are a little bit off, the walk to the waterfall and pools is beautiful but ends with a 2km walk up the road which I think could be improved, total walk was around 8km.
Stunning hikes with even more stunning views! There are a variety of day walks and longer, overnight hikes. There is a minimal conservation fee.
The park is a beautiful piece of preserved nature, highly recommended for those who want to get away from the busy city life, and those who enjoy hiking. There are many different hiking routes available for hikers of all experience levels. Just ensure you bring appropriate clothing, because the weather in the mountains can change fast. The staff are friendly and the restaurant serves good food. But remember to bring along the basic ingredients if you are planning to cook or make a bbq at your hut, since the shop is stocked with very basic long life food items. Wood and charcoal are readily available though.Well be coming back in the future to try some of the longer hiking routes.
Well marked and kempt. Not too challenging. Great views from many spots. Dry air.
Stunning scenery, plant and animal life. Many rock pools and hiking trails.
Scenic long or short even day trails suitable for young and old with Giants Castle backdrop. Serious climbers can do challenging longer routes. Caves for overnight stays. Trout fishing. Never overcrowded. Rhino cards or cash entry. Picnic sight, camping with power points and ablusion.
great place, one hour to walk, not for small kids, but they can get half way to the waterfall
