Malecón Chapala - Shopping Centre in La Barca, Mexico
This is a great area for walk and run. Is very safe you also can park close at morning so you can go to run and return back to your car. I recommend see the sunset here or the sunrise.
Cute place to see. Not much to do, but relax!
Beautiful scene of lake chapala and the mountains in the backdrop. Some restaurants, mostly offering seafood. But just a great place to walk and spend the day.
We love our malecón in Chapala! Its beautiful, there are many restaurants to choose from, boat rides to Scorpion Island, and yummy treats like ice cream.
Very niceI recommend it you won’t regret it
Familiar 100%
Beautiful place lots of shopping and good food.
Beautiful Lakeside Walk!
Really well kept. Couldnt fish because some plants had rolled in but still a good time.
I had a nap there. Great.
Ajijic malecon is a must visit place. It is always so beautiful to wander alongside the lake, Interact with people (and their dogs), enjoy a snack or trinket from the vendors etc. So often there is some sort of entertainment whether a strolling minstrel or some mariachi or other form of entertainment and there is always the nearby restaurants and coffee shops.
A great outdoor space with a park like feel.
Theres not much to do but walk around and see the little shops. The houses were cute but theres a lot of gentrification sadly.😥
Great place for a relaxing walk or people watching.
Beautiful park. Enjoyed walking there. Very relaxing.
Its beautiful. Beautiful views! And the fresh fruit from the vendors are delicious. The fruit is so ripe! Yum!
Great place to walk. Lot of weekend vendors. Lots of resturants. Same great place.
Our new backyard ..: fantastic place to walk our dogs … meet friends and chill by the lake and enjoy the amazing scenery
Nice area to walk. Parking is very challenging on weekends. Streets are very bad and narrow.
On the shore of Lake Chapala. Great walking areas. Lots of families, playground, restaurants, shops, in such a beautiful area.
Great place to walk and enjoy any time of day or night.
The Crown Jewel of the idiosyncratic Ajijic. Parrots in the trees. Perfect sunsets and you will always run into friends.
We were actually able to camp in our Combi Volkswagen nobody bothered us set up a whole little spot and everybody was in Friendly and happy even bring our own food from the little shops right in the parking by the
A very nice place to spend some time when its hot. Theres a slight breeze from the lake and the beautiful trees give protection from the sun. Very popular with families.
Nice pueblito magico many tourists and locals good to bring the family
Very grateful to the government for this park and walkway. Its wonderful to be surrounded by happy families. Theyve recently upgraded the play area for children, with astroturf and nice play equipment.
A beautiful walk well maintained which wonderful views particularly at sunset
A beautiful evening stroll by the lake! Lots of families and kids!
Pretty at sunset, and sunrise. Very active on the weekends. Busy skate park. Plenty of art to be seen.
What a lovely, peaceful, serene place for an early walk.
We enjoyed the walk down the Malecon with a scenic view of Lake Chapala. Skate park and workout equipment along the Malecon too.
It is a park on the lake.clean and well taken care of. There are some food and hand made jewelry vendors in the park. Good place to visit. It is crowded on the weekends.
Very nice place to go for a walk, to sit and enjoy the view.
Had a great time at the Coffee, Chocolate and Wine Festival.
Really didnt like it. Very dissapointed in the area. Dungy & poorly taken care of for the most part along what should be bustling with restaurants & shops. Has so much potential for cute places. The streets are adorable.
Its a nice place, just in front of the Chapala lake. The place has a lot of things to do from a side walk with benches, also food options for a quick snack. The place is clean and has a lot of trees. It is a right place to a small walk and see the lake.
Nice walk but could use a good cleaning...plus grass areas need to be better maintained.
We love it during the week, on weekends just too busy full of ppl. Cant enjoy the peacefulness
Awesome place for relaxed evenings. Sunset point. Far better than crowded Chapala Malecon
Beautiful and restful!.Amazing mountain views. Paradisr by the lake.Unfortunate to have lost so many bistros that have outdoor seating to stop, have a drink or bite to eat right on the water. Hundreds of places a short walk up the hill but not lakeside. Another sad result of how hard these last few years have been for business owners.
Drumming with friends by the ugly lake. Sounds were sweeter than sights and smells!
Always a relaxing experience at this lakeside boardwalk. This evening, near Christmas the temperature was a perfect 21C and the sunset was stunning.
Very nice, great view but a bit empty during the week
Always fun a take a walk over the malecon, especially when there are craftsmen and voladores. Gets pretty crowded on the weekends but not overly so. Great sunsets between the lake and the mountains.
Sunday mornings on the malecon are the best muy bien
Pleasant and warm place to look and take pic
It is a beautiful place. Anyone has to be careful with the amount of mosquitos that swarm everywhere...Recommend insect repellent.
This is a beautiful, main location for Ajijic. Lakeside! Very active with visits and vendors. An enjoyable experience indeed! The view is illuminating as always.
Its a lovely beautiful environment. The lake and the mountains and the weather might be the best in the world. But theres the lackluster lack of attention to keeping It clean. Theres litter everywhere. Disappointing
Beautiful pier to walk along, with the busy part being located at the beginning, the quiet part coming up toward the end. The malecón is nice at any time of the day. Stores and restaurants are close by, and snacks and drinks can be bought everywhere. A nice area to hang around to enjoy people and the scenery.
