Casual, modern rooms with complimentary WiFi, plus relaxed dining and a leisure club with 2 pools.
Down for a few days, Staff great and friendly and helpful, food good and rooms were good would give a go if your down that direction.
The room was very nice, very comfortable. The only problem was that there was no wifi in our room and NOBODY cared. We should have been offered some sort of compensation.
Only 3 stars for location, more or less based on the edge of an industrial estate. Cant fault the hotel or staff so far, greT breakfast and the Guinness is good and reasonable at €5.40 a pint.
I myself was only doing a driver refresher course for the day there,so Im not familiar with their rooms, it was fine ya the location isnt great but ok, but the best part of my experience and Ive told my friend and all was the bacon and cabbage, lovely plate of food and plenty of it😋 good price as well which was 13 euros , well worth stopping in for lunch👍👍👍
It was just a number of visits for breakfast recently at the Maldron Hotel Limerick, the staff members including Jonathan, Louise, Jody, Claire and all the kitchen staff and chef were very friendly and hard working, I hope Im not leaving anyone else out. The buffet breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. The hotel itself was very clean and credit must be given also to the cleaning staff who kept the toilet facilities very clean near the bar area downstairs and outside the restaurant upstairs.
Hotel location is as expected and there is underground parking. Room was nice enough but dated. Bathroom was underwhelming and not clean. Shower drain was plugged with hair and did not drain. It was evident that the shower and toilet had not been cleaned after the last guests. Service at the front desk was unhelpful when we were continually given room keys that weren’t activated, and unable to get out of the parkade using the intercom service (since we didn’t have an active room key). Would not recommend staying here.
No air conditioning in the room, mould in bathroom, very noisy place ... Nothing for me ... Bad choice
Staff brilliant, they couldnt do enough for us..🙂 no air con in rooms & of course it was the few weeks in Ireland when we had a heatwave..changing rooms at pool need attention but pool was fab!! definitely would go back!
Staff members very kind hotel itself very cosy but downside every public restroom unsanitizedPoop everywhere bar toilet on the ground floorAnd the vitae club bathroom and changing room very unhygienicOther than that great time thoughThanks
Stayed here for two days this week.We were on the third floor and upon arrival noticed that there was either a testing area / vaccination area for covid right outside the elevators and only 20 yards from our room. This wasn’t made aware to us at the time of booking or arrival - not sure how this would go down with vulnerable guests.Water pressure in the shower was non existent - was almost like a garden hose if not worse. Loose chippings on the bathrooms bathtub also. The ladies behind the bar were particularly friendly and nice to talk to but the service was very poor. Had a table of almost 10 people and not once were we asked for a drinks order, three times we had to ask someone to come over. Glasses / bottles were also not collected. Was probably the first time in a long time I chose not to leave a tip.Id like to also suggest whoever is reviewing / making the menu to taste it - wouldn’t recommend a meal here. The nicest thing was the sausage and chips from the childrens menu.Surprised at the the VERY subpar standards from the Maldron hotel chain. First and last time staying here and would recommend people to look elsewhere and get proper bang for their buck.
Dinner in restaurant was beautiful, very friendly, helpful staff.Room was spacious, however the bathroom wasnt very clean, and the plug hole in the bath was covered with hair. It was disgusting to the point where we didnt use the shower or bath.Breakfast was nice, took ages to make toast, get breakfast and then make tea/coffee. It takes the luxury out of staying at a hotel, by the time I sat down to eat breakfast it was cold
Food BeautifulExcellent Customer ServiceFast Efficient Table ServiceStayed on 2nd , Short Corridor Room 258 Terrible Smell Of Moth BallsComfortable Family RoomBathroom Smelled Of Pee
High price for what they offer. Very uninteresting area, the room itself is quite clean. Except for stains on the walls and wardrobe. In the bathroom, dirty tile joints, improperly functioning ventilation creates steam, the tabletop at the sink is dirty. View from the window on the container
I see somebody says that bathrooms is too small... Go back to US if u dont like here hahaha.I had a business trip and stayed for a week in the hotel. I would say everything is perfect here. Only one thing that they cant fix my TV and probably waiting when I will leave hotel and stop complaining LOL. Always CHECK ur TV before getting in the room!Internet is open and not so bad... Most of my online games was loaded perfectly. Enjoy your stay here....
Your The lady on your reception made a mess of our stay .I asted. the wash hand basen and bath was blocked noting was done about it .the tv in the room did not work but it was replaced by a very nice lady .we had dinner in the hotel and it was very good next day i got a call from reception she .i got a call i was down in the city she to tel me i di not turn up last night .and when i came back to the hotel she told me you only booked in for one night 190.00 euro was taken out of my card so know 190.euro was put back in my bank this was ok but it left me short of money becouse we went to limerick to buy material ..I would like to point out we stayed in your hotel many times and never had a bad stay.it was a dad/bad/bad.stay.RegardsBill.Ryan.
Had dinner in the bar this evening. Ordered the roast of the day which came without vegetables. After i inquired, i was told it didnt come served with veg (First time for everything i supposeonly to see it served with veg to another customer. I tried to grab the waiters attention but he kept ignoring me for quite a while. When i finally did get to speak to him, he told me to lower my voice and that the veg was on its way. Not good enough service in my opinion! Room was fine and the staff at check in were pleasant and helpful
I was ensconced here for a long weekend with work. Its about a half hour walk down the busy road into the city which appears to nice and vibrant with a good selection of bars and restaurants. In the near vicinity to the hotel is a SuperMacs (excellent!👍), a Tescos, Aldi and a Subways sandwich bar. The hotel was clean and quiet with a good bar and a nice breakfast
Stayed here for 4 nights just recently with my sister and daughter. Our stay here was extremely enjoyable from checking in to checking out. The staff were amazing, especially Svetlana, Noel and Johnathan in the bar. The food was also very nice, tasty and great value. I would highly recommend this hotel and am already going to book for December. I have stayed in many hotels but this one is very hard to beat. Thank you for making our stay so pleasurable
Friendly staff and updated facilities but the rooms do need some maintenance attention in the bathrooms. The neighborhood kids like to cause trouble at times so watch out for them specially if your room faces the street.
Attended a conference so didnt use the rooms or the service but nice hotel and in a convenient location with plenty of parking
Not a bad hotel, we had a queen size bed.A bigger bed would have been better
Great service, large rooms, friendly staff who went out of their way to assist me, all areas clean and comfortable. Ill definately stay here again.
Room was comfortable, good size - no real issues.Couple of minor things:Only 1 lift was workingNo hand soap or shower gel in roomAwful buzzing noise coming from extractor in bathroom
During a 17-day visit Ive stay a lot of places, including 3 different Maldron hotels. The Limerick one was very disappointing, room was dirty and the whole hotel was very worn looking, stained carpet, bathroom sink had mold under the faucet and stains on the counter. The price I paid per night for the dump was robbery, just under 200 Euros. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
I had a nice stay at the hotel but wasnt aware there were Ukrainian families onsite. It wasnt a problem but I was trying to sleep early and a lot of noise in the garden. Card machine not working at breakfast.. delayed me while going to work. Reception was seamless very efficient. Very central and close to Aldi.
I loved the breakfast lounge as its very clean and the staff members are very friendly. Supervisor Jonathan served us with excellent customer service with a smile on his face all the time. He was very friendly to the children and other customers. He is a hardworking guy.
All their savery cakes and scones were gone at 9:58. They didnt seem to have more for the customer thats on the run. Staff were not helpful.
Killed two stones with one bird as I had to get tested before flight tomorrow to the US and the testing center is in the hotel rates a reasonable for staying the night , plenty of amenities
Honestly 10 out 10, would highly recommend, excellent staff as I said but Id like to say a special big thank you to Lorraine, she is a absolute gem, and couldnt ask for better hospitality. She looked after us so well, the woman deserves more than a big thanks. All the staff are lovely, room was lovely and the pool area was just wow.
I ate lunch in the bar today with my mother who was staying there for a few nights. I had 3 very active boys with me 4 and under. The young man working at the bar (he may have been a manager not surewas so pleasant and helpful. The chefs at the carvery were also very friendly and accommodating. The level of customer service in there today would put some fancier establishments to shame.
Staying here tonight with my wife in room 114 room is big and spacious. Had meal in bar Lorraine was our server very accommodating and plesent to deal with
Fantastic stay in the Maldron Limerick. Friendly staff, fantastic food, service and facilities. The only negative thing I have to say is when we were eating dinner the table was cleared while 1 of us were still eating so felt kind of rushed but this didn’t ruin our night either just would have preferred to have table cleared when all forks were down. Lady on check out was so lovely too! We will 100% be back!!
Staff were very kind and helpful. The food was delicious. However, price of €292 for a night is absolutely ridiculous. Over doubling the price of a room because of the concert was outrageous.
fabulous staff in all areas food beautiful but the smell of smoke in a non smoking room was horrific and in the hall I have 2 small kids and wasnt vest pleased with this but over all nice hotel
The maldron hotel limerick provides great service including top class food and beverages served by noel and tony to name just two of the most excellent staff. They are all very welcoming and pleasant. They make it a great place to return to plus comfortable surroundings.
Every member of staff made us feel so welcome and couldnt do enough to make our stay so memorable. Beds extremely comfortable, spacious rooms and great food on offer. Nothing not to like!
This hotel has no bells and whistles, it’s exactly what you expect from a Maldron, clean, tidy, comfortable and efficient, perfect for a short stay. The staff however are very helpful, friendly and personable which is a nice touch and makes a lovely environment. For that reason my stay in this Maldron was better than my stay in other Maldrons. The buffet breakfast was great and they had suitable gluten free options. The bar menu had more basic gluten free options, but the staff were able to answer any questions on allergens, so there was adequate choice. The gym was perfect for getting a quick workout in!
Rooms were not that clean (hairs, etc.), but the beds were fine.Service in the restaurant was good, and quick, and the rest of the hotel was clean and modern. The location is not that nice; you sadly cannot go outside at night, and there are what appears to be abandoned or neglected ponies in a field right outside the front door - - they are standing on a field filled with trash and dangerous obstacles for them. A sad sight to arrive to at the hotel.
Friday morning 22nd the waitress at breakfast local girl black runners couldn’t have been any more helpful really nice thought she could have been wearing the duty managers badge from the breakfast crew reception staff very nice over all lovely stay comfortable bed there was hair in the bath from the last guest i think easy mistake but other wise room was so clean
Rooms are nice, clean and beds are comfy. Food is nice. Staff are lovely, especially the bar staff. Its noisy though, and the breakfast is a fiasco. Especially since Covid isnt over, yet its still a buffet. Its manic, picture a flock of seagulls fighting over a chip. 😂
Had the pleasure of staying here the room was spotless and the staff were so friendly especially a girl named Lorraine she was able to tell my other half all about places to visit in limerick that I didnt even know about she made us feel so welcome and she made me a beautiful cocktail I will be definitely coming back and hopefully the friendly girl will be there to look after us again
We have used this hotel many times when in Limerick. Rooms are good, breakfast was ok. Brilliant hotel for commercial users. Also really like the secure underground car park.
Loved this hotel. Room was clean and cosy. Bed was comfortable. The only down side was the heat in the room. Very very warm. But I will definitely be back.
Myself and my husband stayed her for a night 2 weeks ago and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lady that checked us in and out was very helpful and friendly. The food was lovely both dinner and breakfast and we were served by Noel, who was just fantastic at his job. The room we had was very clean and well equipped, we had a balcony too which was a lovely extra feature. We didnt use the leisure facilities but the looked fabulous aswell. Highly recommend 👌
I’ve stayed here on 4 occasions so far and I have nothing bad to say. Staff in reception and bar/restaurant are very polite and nice. Rooms are spot on, clean and cosy! I usually fly into Ireland every other week so I know if I’m in Limerick, Maldron is my go to!!
I recently stayed here with my two young daughters, this was my second time staying. In a few years.I had a few special requests as it was my daughters birthday and the staff at the hotel excelled! I have worked in many different hotels over the years and stayed in plenty also and i would rate the staff here as top class, no request was an issue, they were extremely accommodating and obliging. While i would highly recommend this hotel and the wonderful friendly staff i would like to give a special thanks to Luis who very kindly sang happy birthday to my daughter for her 6th birthday, thanks Luis!! The facilities at the hotel are great. Thanks again for a wonderful stay! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Check in staff were very nice and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was not very clean. Broken and cracked floor tiles in the bathroom. The bar staff were unpleasant. When I ordered a cocktail the staff member said she wasnt making it but she would ask another staff member to do it. Her manner and approach with us was rude and very unpleasant. We were asked to bring our drink (which had just been served to usto the lobby at 11pm as the bar was closed. Lack of personnel/ security on duty meant that we were exposed to explicit behaviour by a minor as we finished our drinks. We had visited with grandparents and children.
Had a great 2 night stay recently with 2 children. We had the option of self check in/out but I did not use this option. We used the pool x 1-- was warm but a little busy-- towels ate a little small so would bring my own next time. Breakfast was delicious and good value. Great range of time slot to book. We has a dinner via click and collect x 1 and it was delicious.
Good hotel, staff is very nice. Bathroom was not clean on checkin but I had already set up all my computers. Gym next door is fantastic, best steam bath ever and such nice staff/guests. Breakfast was great one day, second day I languished, forgotten, finally getting my own coffee and banana. Dinner was good and really great waitstaff.
I stayed in the Maldron Limerick a couple of weeks ago and had a fantastic stay. All covid precautions were being taken but youd barely notice with how smooth the staff made everything for us. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I had a great room with a balcony and an incredibly comfortable bed. Check in and check out were super easy and we were even able to get a delicious pint from the bar. Would definitely stay again next time Im in Limerick.
