Awesome place with lots of history to be learnt
Suitable who wants to know more about Chinese culture
Good and interesting place for added knowledge . 👍
Good place to visit, worth to spend some time reading and understanding the chinese history of Malaysia since Cheng Ho...
At the begining of the entrance, the audio and awesome replicate ship set up on the introduction of Cheng Ho is great. However, towards the end of the display is rather dull with lots of emphasis on the relationship with Mainland China stuff and info, and lack of attraction and interest to move on to read and view all the posters and politician images. The lighting need to adjust properly as every section has limited light sensor control and it will suddenly darken with horror stature and pictures/ photos when you are happen to be in these sections. This also make reading difficult as some displays has small prints and old.Overall, there are room for improvements, and to recommend seniors citizen age cap at 60 instead of 65 to enjoy half of the entrance fees.No tour guide available during our visit and no sign board indicate guided tour.
Well maintain culture museum.
Nice place to learn about malaysia Chinese history.
A hidden treasure of Malaysian Chinese history very well illustrated with well designed settings presented to create ambience for the pleasure of all Malaysians
Definitely worth visiting, the museum is well maintained and a lot of things we can learn from the history told by this museum
Very nice and informative. We spent 1.5 hours. Time and money well spent. We hope there’s more!
Such a pity that not many have heard of this place. Its located around half an hour or more from the city. The collections available are very impressive and well preserved. Can definitely tell that plenty of money and effort was spent to built this museum. Educational and informational too. Worth the drive and would highly recommend!
Educational places to bring the kids around, the musuem has been taken care well. Suitable for students 10 years old above
Absolutely worthy spent for tickets here as is a very well kept and maintained muzium. Lovin the most is accuracy how our Chinese ancestry communities historians started and flourished in Malaysia. As a part of Chinese communities we should be proud and be part to keep up strongly support to preserve this muzium for our future generations. Thankyou and appreciated so much to everyone that makes this muzium for us.
Well maintained and very informative Malaysian Chinese museum. Bring your kids to know more about the Chinese history in Malaysia.
Very well maintained and informative museum. Suitable for both kids and adults. We’ve learned a lot of Malaysian Chinese history here. Please do bring your family here to support.
As one of Chinese decentant we get to understand how our root Abit more. Wonderful job
Great educational place to learn some historical knowledge. 5starsif theres more interactive section.
Visited when they first opened in 2018. Museum was hard to find as entrance is only via a motorway. It was interesting to see and learn about the Chinese in Malaysia. Also featured my grandfather’s career in education in Penang. The only downside was the staff assuming I speak Mandarin. Worth the visit.
One of the best museums in Malaysia, the entrance fee is a little high but well worth it. Its clear that alot of effort went into this. Well done. Would recommend to friends and come again.
It is hard to imagine Malaysia having such a well maintain, historical well research museum. Perhaps we can have more high quality museums such as this for Melaka Sultanate. Minang Kabau culture and the list goes on. Highly recommended and educational for children. Malaysia is truly rich in culture.
Entrance fee is RM5 for students, Rm10 for senior citizens age 65 and above, and RM20 for others. Well maintained museum. Not too large but contains good information on history of early settlement of Chinese in Malaysia, and their contribution to economy culture, and independence. Reasonable collections of pictures on prominent figures, World War 2, and major incidents. Scenes of lives in 60s and 70s recreated. Worth a visit.
A place to understand the struggle of heroes past and to built and contribute to Malaysian society.
A great effort to preserve the history. Well designed to bring visitors through the time tunnel. Video, displays, interactive digital apps (install e-intro(not a user friendly app but you need it)and the reconstruction of the atmospheres according to the section to provide visitors with the experience and information.
Its a good place to learn about the chinese in Malaysia
Glad to have visited this Chinese Museum. This is the right place for the younger generation to know their roots. The history of the Chinese migration to Malaya is well documented here. I hope the management can do more publicity to get more people to visit this marvelous place. Well done and thank you for your great effort to make this museum a historic place.
There are provide narrator service, but need to do reservation earlier . Is a place good for children to learn Chinese history .
Great place to visit. Though it is small, all the items are in good condition. They maintain it well. It is about the history of the Chinese travelling to Asia and settled down there.
Nice place to visit learn about Malaysia Chinese history.
The museum wasnt large but took us about 1 1/2 hours to cover the whole area as we found it interesting. There was a lot of information about the history of the Chinese in Malaysia covering their arrival from China, sufferings and killings under the Japanese rule, entrepreneurial spirit, pursuit of excellence in Chinese education and political engagement and contribution to the development of Malaysia. There were life-size diorama, replicas of Chinese shops, models and posters. Descriptions on the posters werent too wordy.Entrance fee was RM20 for adults, RM10 for senior citizens of age 65 and above and RM5 for students. The entrance fee was a little on the high side considering that the museum wasnt large.
A comprehensive showcase of Malaysian Chinese history. Well presented.
Located far from city & built @ an enormous cost of RM7mil. A big tall grey building wit museum @ 1st floor. An non air condition entrance up the long steep escalator. Defensive, non smiling & non open minded counter staff greets visitors. Cool air condition greets visitors after stepping closed entrance. A great relief from outside scorching Malaysian humidity. Download an app to enjoy selective photos with QR code which allows video clip of an event. Event depicted early migratory during Admiral Zheng He up to current history. It didn’t link early history before Admiral Zheng He. Pictures, artifacts and mannequins depicts history. The important Reid commission wasn’t found. A short 10 minutes of either English, Malay & mandarin video summarizing the Chinese history
If you are into figurines, this is the museum to go to. However, I was expecting the museum to be larger for the expensive entrance fee I paid - RM20, as a local!Expand your museum, make sure your info to be more informative, and interactive. The historical narrative about Chinese Malaysians have to be more creative and out of the box for the price the museum charges.
A place to learn the origins of Malaysian Chinese. They have a VR app for visitors to use during the visit.
Perfect wonderful place to visit with chronological chinese in Malaysia history. Very informative and educational with high technology environment. Is like going down memory for those who have witnessed the war and useful info for the younger generation
Nice museum. Can try more in A.R. Suitable for those who want to know more about Malaysia Chinese. From multi fields, like economic, politics, education, traditional, lifestyle and do on. Simulation environment surprised me especially Emergency Period.
This is the first Chinese museum in KL region, recently just opened in May 2018. It is within the new Hua Zhong building. It is fully air-conditioned. The entrance fees for adult RM20, Elderly RM10 and children RM5. This museum is equipped with interactive software such as e-intro where you can scan and be presented with short film clips and audiovisual introduction. There are many photos opportunities with replicas and look alike, which would make you feel like travelling in time tunnel to the past. From the history of Cheng Ho to the mass exodus of Chinese to Nanyang and Malaya, and the formation of Malaysia. It also narrates the contribution of ethnic Chinese in building Malaysia. There is a theatre showing video clip about the Chinese first coming to Malaya. This is a new tourist destination worth visiting. It is huge and you would probably spend about two hours here. There are ample parking spaces and it is free for now.
