This small, humble zoo features an array of caged animals, along with an aquarium & gardens.
Entrance fee of P300 per head is not worth of this zoo. Still Manila zoo is way better thn Malabon zoo.Zoo area is too small for all animals. Quite congested and smelly.
Nice place to go.
The entrance fee is over priced at PHP300 per person. No car parking. I was allowed to side park in front of the zoo but they collected PHP50 which to me is ridiculous as it is not even a legal parking. The PHP300 entrance fee could have been reasonable if there were more animals to see in a spacious caging. The water tank of the aquarium is so dirty that you wont even notice that there is a fish inside until they pop out near the glass. On a positive note though the caretaker is pretty accommodating.
Went here last may 2022. Entrance fee was 300 each.
Great experience for kids seeing live non-household pets for the first time!
After the bad experience in Manila Zoo I hoped Malabon Zoo would be a better one, but it was disappointing. Its very small and smelling in every corner. The enclosures are small and difficult to see because, in addition to the bars, there are also dirty panes that prevent a clear view and perfect photos. The entrance fee of 300 pesos is cheeky, but I was happy to pay it in the hope that it would better ensure the care of the animals.
One of the really unique places just a stones throe away from the grand hub of Monumento. Because of the pandemic this gem has faced challenges that it has to ask the public for help to feed their lovely animals. Upon my visit today it felt really great that the lions are getting better compared to the public photos posted during 2021. It was a huge relief that people helped. I suggest that families support this place, it is truly a unique experience in terms of a community supported endeavor.Keep the spirit of pinoy/pinay ingenuity alive.
Needs a lot of improvement on the cages/fences. So much tarpaulins. Parking around the area is hassle.
Small place first time to come here, animals look well feed, but place need more upkeep. Enclosures Are clean, some animals cant be seen that clearly. Staff should have uniforms. No parking space
Nice very clean
still needs some maintenance since close due to pandemic
Nice but to many tarpulin inside the zoo. Few animals to see. No name or details on particular animal indicated.
We had a wonderful time at the zoo its very clean and tree covered so you can avoid direct sunlight for the most part...a bit pricey 600 per person
The owner is very accommodating as well as the staffs and the animals! Please go and visit them! 💖
Kawawa ang animals. They are just in ordinary concrete cages. It would have been better if they are staged in a place similar to their natural environment. At least it would be educational for those who visits. It is no surprise that the animals look so lacking in spirit. Likewise, the aquarium for the fishes is dirty. The set up is so lacking in imagination.
Kids loved the animals. No animal show when we got there
I think the zoo price is okay at 220. You cant see these animals anywhere else in the country. It is also for the animals so there there. The zoo is small but it has bear, lions, tigers, orangutan, alligators, and wild deers.Fun to have a close encounters with the wild animals XDDPlus points for the signages hahahaFun that there is also feeding time where everyone is called to watch feeding of alligatorsIt is sad though the bear has no company. But other than that it was worth it 😇
My daughter likes there. And you can get a discount if you live in manila. And theres a senior and student discount
The entrance is too expensive. Not well maintained, too many tarps,..puro fish Lang halos makita.
Although the entrance fee is Peso 210, in side the Zoo is not well-maintained and Ugly.-Small cages for Animals Specially for birds.-UncleanThink twice before visit this and it is not worthy for what you pay...
The entrance fee is not student friendly (210.00and the zoo is not well-maintained. Grills on some of the enclosures are doubled making it difficult for the visitors to have a good look on the animals. On the other hand, they have huge fishes and a bear which make it different from other zoos. The fishes will definitely catch your attention as you start exploring the zoo
Its good to be aware that animals are part of human life. We must love them
My kids, i and my husband are having so much fun here, you can see the big bear & Orangutan here which is very rare to find in our country.🐶
Entrance is too expensive but it was all worth it. My kids and my wife enjoyed a lot walking around the zoo.
210 pesos! Very few animals. A lot dilapidated tarps everywhere you go. Feels like youre in a junk shop
A good place to visit. We saw the feeding in the afternoon, very entertaining to watch. The place is a bit worn down. And navigating is confusing, some routes lead to dead ends, you will miss some of the animals if you dont go exploring the different avenues available. Entrance is 220 per head. Overall happy experience for the family.
Need maintenance and improvement... But in comparison to our local manila zoo its way much better and nicer...
Very child-friendly and worth visiting because the owner really cares for the guests and the animals.
Improving the facilities can greatly help with the animals since it is kinda small. But overall its still a nice zoo with their own collection of animals.
I do love animals but as I see the animals in here they are not in good condition considering that the entrance fee is expensive :(No decent parking lot too. 😓
Considering it is now the only zoo in camanava area we shud be thankful we have this one. ANG PROBLEM LANG NAMAN SA ZOO NA ITO AY SUPER EXPENSIVE ANG ENTRANCE 210 PESOS PER HEAD, BATA OR MATANDA!!! Althou Kids will enjoy the place panu un madami na pupils or students pa lang? Pnu un mahihirap n tao? Sayang kasi The owner and management of the zoo are hands on sa zoo and its visitors at sa animals found inside. Staff are courteous. Medyo nid more improvement p in the whole place. San nga b un toilet area nila. Me araw puede papicture with the animals.
Superb animals and good maintence. Tigers snakes owls birds orangutan, alligators , large fishes , warthogs , amd many more. The bears, tigers and orangutan are extremely awesome . We can give milk to tiger, put hands around the orangutan and feed the bear and birds. The bear ate bread and papayas. Very nice maintenance
Clean. I suggest expanding the area and adding more birds. There were lonely birds but the rest of animals are all good and healthy
It is cheap The zoo has a lot of selections of animals even lions but Ive given low rating due to the condition the animals are kept in and the cramped up space. Crocs barely have space to turn. The zoo has the animals meaning they have potential hopefully they improve the conditions
The experience is average. Youll see more tarpaulin hanging rather than the animal in the cage. Its getting worse every after visit.
Its a small zoo but the animals look taken cared of. Facilities could be better and a map overview provided.
This is WAY too small for the animals. The cages are way too small. The environment does not fit the natural environment of the animals either.I think this should be considered for a renovation. The animals dont look happy at all. Some look underweight, some look overweight, some of the animals are with too many in a cage, some animals which shouldnt be alone are alone. I dont understand how this could be approved. Yes, in western zoos it is different. But I think that this zoo is even not okay for Filipino standards.
Few animals can be seen. Tigers 🐯 are all sleeping. But they had fun only with the snake and urangutan marinara.
Went to the place to check it out. I love animals so zoos are a paradise for me but the place looked so depressing. Not well-maintained. The animals looked sad and lived to eat, be looked at and wander in their cramped caged. Felt sorry for them. Although i love zoos, i feel thatbthey should close the place down and free the animals. Theyll have a better life quality that way.
Good for one day trip with friends and family.. Tiger lovers! A best choice for you.. 😊You can take pictures with Lion cub, tiger cub here at specific timings..
Better than Manila Zoo. Though no elephant which is rare but close encounter with the bear and tigers is enough.
The fee is not worth it. There are only few animals inside the zoo. Mosf of them are just birds. The animals seem to feel uncomfortable because their cages are too narrow.
I understand this zoo is historic. I just wish the management or whomever is left takes care of the animals that are afterall the main attractions. The bear looks weary, the ram, sheep, dear are obviously not being taken care of enough. I did not take photos as it will just ruin your day.
A close encounter with the animals! You get the chance to feed and touch some animals. Great learning experience for kids!
Its a good zoo. Its no that big of a zoo but theres a lot variety of animals to see
Manila zoo will be the best place for animals for its larger cages etc... The animals can move freely unlike here in malabon zoo ohhh sooo grosss the animals are in small and very dirty cages
The place is just too small for all the animals & some facilities are already old to provide good quality life for the animals inside.
The area is quite congested for the great numbers of animals inside of that zoo, plus the bad condition of the air contributes to its unpleasantness. However the zoo looks so awesome, i love their concept of putting a floating running vine plants that serves as their roof, You will surely fell that youre in a wild forest. !!! (^_^)
In August 2014 I visited here with a friend. I had a good experience, though it is not a standard zoo experience by Western standards. However we had a quite good time there, there wasnt a lot of guests and so it wasnt crowded at all. The animals were generally well treated (by local standards). The only animal that seemed troubled was the bear (same as someone else stated in another review). The place was easy to find, and the entrance fee was very affordable (PHP150 per person).
I was in the Malabon zoo in 2010 and there was a good variety of animals but the zoo is too small for the amount of animals. I was also a bit concerned because it seems that the tiger and other big animal cages were constructed of undersized steel bars.Due to the small enclosures I noticed that one bear was showing signs of trauma because he was constantly going around in circles and bobbing his head all the time. The owner(sshould seriously consider upgrading the facilities because this place has good potential. Maybe getting some companies as corporate sponsors would be one way of achieving this.
