Mala Stanica in Banja Luka

We werent even served in a half-empty restaurant. There was enough room for the three of us, and we were greeted with "sorry were fully booked" even though we came for a souffle and there was plenty of empty tables around. Id probably give higher marks if we were at least seated.

Really nice restaurant, food is great and the price even better! If you ever visit Mala Stanica you have to try the Chocolate souflé, Its the best!

Lovely restaurant in the middle of Banja Luka business center. Spacious terrace partially in natural shade thanks to nearby square. Good food beautifully served and very fast with that. Little pricey for the region but with quality assured.

Edit: The reviews related to Mala Stanica Mercator.Mala Stanica is a must-go for everyone who enjoys a proper restaurant experience in BL. Been going to Stanica since 2013, whenever Im in BL. I was never let down, until one of the recent visits.As someone who enjoys burgers, I was pleasantly surprised to see it on Stanicas menu, so I ordered as soon as I sat down. What Ive received was far from satisfying, so please, take this more as a suggestion and positive critic, and not comment pointed at bashing the restaurant Im truly fond of.Burger patty was hard and chewy due to being overcooked and improperly put together. The mixture for the patty was obviously done wrong, so instead of using a leaner cut of meat, burger mixtures usually are a combination of few different meat cuts, with proper seasoning, herbs, eggs and breadcrumbs. A good combination would be 1/3 rib meat, 1/3 regular 85% ground beef, 1/3 sirloin/ram, achieving proper levels of fat and juiciness of the meat. Also, burgers are cooked mostly to "barely pink" in the middle.Burger dressing was a basic ketchup/mayo, which didnt help the overall experience. A mild twist with chipotle pepper/mayo would do the trick. The bun was good.Im leaving a 5-star review, because I hope this is mostly a mistake and because Stanica havent failed any time before this, or after, as I continued to go, just didnt dare to order a burger again :-)Cheers.

Hi Mala Stanica Staff,Im writing this review because Im that shocked of how good everything was. So good, theres about 10 people on this table and everyone was talking about the food the whole time.We are here at the moment as Im writing the review.The food, the theme, the placing, the looks, the quality, the drinks, the dessert, the customer service. Amazing!I came here on a holiday from Australia because my all my family is from around here. This restuarant is top tier. Great olace with fusion cousine. Its in old train station. Personel are nice, helpfull and polite. I recomwnd it.

I have eaten Steaks in a lot of Restaurants especially in Vienna and Austria. Mala Stanica gave me one of the best Steak experiences in a long time!Absolutely great!Thanks a lot!

Thought I had corona for a second. No taste to any of it. How do you mess up Potatoes. 36 KM.Had beef soup before that and it was great!Place looks nice but lots of mosquitoes outside. Supposedly their other location has way better food, not gonna risk it.

Worst service. Yelled at for putting together two tables because they only had tables for four and we were a party of five. No logic. Decide to leave. No one pays to be treated like that.

Wonderful food and a lovely outside area. There is a great wine selection here and the food is really good as well.

Friends and I heard a lot of this place from locals, so we decided to visit it.- Food was nothing special to be honest I was expecting more especially for price range.- Service is ok, nothing extraordinary. Little bit sloppy in some moments.Also they served us bread which we did not ask for and we paid for it. I guess we could argue but we decided not to, because yes we are foreigners so paying few bucks extra is not a big deal.So I considered this as a rude gesture.

Have to rewrite my recession (from 2 years agoand deleted 3 stars!Because of:- Half of the menu is not availible!- Waiters are not able to tell you that in advance.- after i had chosen my third dish, which was also not availible, i decided to eat soup and salat.- prices for, the bad service and only half of the menu are much to high.Sorry to say that, Mala Stanica was one of my favorite restaurants in whole BiH but now, you will not see me again.Furthermore, i ll also conduct no business dinners anymore there.Best regards,a super disappointed customer!!!That was my old recession. Very good food and amazing terrace. Is a good place for a warm afternoon and brunch. The waiter was very nice and spoke English. The menu was also in English. I recommend this place!

If you like quality food, polite staff this is restaurant for you.Garden is beatiful, during sunny days it is excellent. Inside is pleasent always.Chocolate souffle with bourbon vanilla icecream is amazing!

Placed in an old restaurated railway station, lovely interior, great outdoor space, food oustanding and made from fresh domestic products! Dont miss it if you come to Banja Luka!

One of the best restaurants in town. But prices are very high so dont be surprised. If you like to experiment with food, its a good place to visit.

I was there with my my very good friend.The food choice, the way they cooked it, the wine card and the service was above any expectations!This building is located in the old Train Station house. It is very pleasant and cozy inside, you have non smoking area too.Music volume can be a bit lower, but it did not disturb the way it was.All in all, if you want to spend a very nice evening in the centre of BL, or to have a proper business dinner or simply enjoy a glass of wine, this is the place to go.

One of the best places to eat in Banja Luka, if you are ot into "cevapi", or you want to change. The only downside is the smoking, although, it is everywhere, not specific for this place.

The best restaurant in Banjaluka. Every meal which we ordered, was truly great. My favorite is turkey with "mlinci" - something like homemade pasta.

Perhaps the best food in my life 😊 I never know what to choose and I was never disappointed. I wish there is similar place in Sarajevo and would pay for the recipie for orange lava cake 😍 I hope you will keep quality and excellent service for ever. Wonderful!

One of the absolutely best restaurants Ive ever been to. Such amazing food, atmosphere, music, service and everything else. The prices are expensive by local standards but for a Swedish tourist like me its like any other normal priced restaurant at home. A must visit if you are in Banja Luka, highly recommended!

It is at great location with lovely outdoor garden. Excelent interior design! What I like the most is the huge wooden bar with lots of colourful bottles shining and waiting for cocktails to be made. Atmosphere here is warm and so comfortable... It doesnt metter if you come in the morning, at middady or at night... to have a coffee or drink, have a breakfast, dessert or dinning... alone or with friends, family... there are professional stuff on your service and delicious food! 🔝
