Makwa Lake Provincial Park - Park and Garden in Meadow Lake, Canada
Beautiful campgrounds, clean beaches and awesome water pressure!
A big shout out to the employees and management at Makwa lake Provincial Park. The trails are in such great shape. Thank you for cleaning them up, expanding the amount of trails and making all of the trails wider. It is a joy to ride our bikes through he vast amount of trails.
Nice lake. Tons of boats which all seem to want to do loops in front of the swimming areas. Makes for alot of noise and waves. The lake itself is clean but difficult for paddleboarding, canoeing or kayaking due to the boat traffic and large amount of waves from the wake. Only one washroom facility which is often lined up on bust weekends. The beach is nice and there is a reasonable amount of parking.Personally I would avoid long weekends if youre looking for a bit of quiet. Im sure during the week its much less busy.If you are inexperienced driving a boat I would avoid this lake as there is alot of traffic, all of which drives extremely quickly and somewhat recklessly.
This lake has great fishing spots.
Great little park with lots to do
Very peaceful and beautiful!
Stabler Point Site S74
Beautiful park, great roads, sites are gravel so come prepared. Man made beach is nice, just dont go to far as the sand turns to mud + weeds depending on the time of year.
Its good place I like it.
Friendly staff at the front office. Beautiful beach and nice sites.
We have been going to makwa provincial Park for about 25 years. We always enjoy our time there. It is really well kept and the facilities are clean.
I like fishing, canoeing, being on the water, with clean, clear air & lots of people who are enjoying the same fun as yourself.
Amazing place, The campsite are spacious as well as private. One of the best ones out there.
Beautiful landscapes and lakes. Nice campgrounds. Golf course is awesome too 👍
Gorgeous lake, clean campground and friendly park staff! Loved our stay and will be back.
Was just there this past weekend for the first time and the beaches were groomed every morning. Great place for kids and campsites are very well treed in for privacy.
Lovely lakes and much natural beauty, but much LESS neat and tidy than when I was lived here years ago. Also the beach is much LESS maintained than before. Government did not charge money years ago but did a MUCH better job of maintenance then. Also why are the docks removed that we used to dive off of? God has created the natural beauty, but our society is not maintaining the facilities nearly as well as before.
Its a hell of a place where the whiskey is cold and the women are warm...
Have a family cabin @ Loon Lake resort. We like it!
This place is beautiful! I went here for the first time a couple weeks ago. Highly recommend!
Great beach. Mini golf course is being renovated slowly. Much needed. Saw lots of black bears.
Well maintained campground, beautiful lake, and great beach for the kids.
We stayed at jumbo beach campground which is just outside of the provincial park area - just off the main road - a small campsite - only a couple dozen sites . We ended up leaving early as the locals were constantly driving, walking or biking by looking into our campsite. There was even a truck that drive by in the middle of the night without headlights on and stopped right in front of our campsite. Another night we had a vehicle drive by again in the middle of the night and actually backed up to look into our site . If you value your belongings do not stay here. As for the stabler campground , if you have young kids, are very sociable and like being squeezed in like sardines then you will love it there! Beautiful lakes but disappointing campgrounds
Super fun and good for getting together with family especially and pine cove resort
Had the best camping experience here 4 years in a row! Beautiful sites and very friendly staff. Clean and spacious!
Our favorite place to camp!
Lots of room in campsite. Friendly service. Roads are tight in some spots due to people parking every vehicle and boat they own beside their campsite.
Great place to camp! Awesome place for fishing and nice large sites if you book in the right area!
The interconnecting lakes provide new fishing spots each trip
Great camp sites! I think theres power at everyone. Shower house was big. Nice fish cleaning station. Firewood was junk.
WVery nice park with lots to do for the kids
I have lived around here for years its beautiful
I found this campground by reading google reviews... 5 stars ! Lots of camp spots, small clean beautiful beach. Perfect for kids but deep water ,my 4 year old played snd loved it ! New looking kids park and 2 swings located on beach.Lots of privacy, nice and bushy.Free fire woodFree waterBig garbage/recycle spotNice flat lots for tents.Loons, other water fowl and coyotes howling at night just sounds amazing. We will be back every year. And the store just down the road on the reservation has great prices! I was shocked that we could go in and buy some dinner and it cost no more than if i went to superstore. We paid $80 for 3 nights here with power
Lake is very clean, up to 50 ft in some spots. 5 or 6 bays that you can boat in when the wind picks up. Nice groomed beach, with well treed campsites.
Love the lane and love the sites will definitely be back!
Wonderful experience. Had a great campsite. Decent wood, nice clean beach. Going back again for sure.
Beautiful park and camp ground. May want to reserve camping site ahead of time. It can get full during weekends.
Nice campsites. Beautiful sandy beach!
Beautiful scenery, the birthplace of my maternal Grandpa, my Mom, and the place that my maternal Great Grandparents homesteaded. Its a place near and dear to my heart ♥.
This is, for the most, a peaceful, undisturbed, quiet place to walk and enjoy nature off camping season
I live just a short distance fromthis beautiful place...take my grandchildren there every year for swimming lessons..its very beautiful
Well maintained park with beautiful scenery and lakes.
A nice place to take the family, a little crowded but still good.

Awesome park. It is super private. Decent beaches. Clean showers, but would be nice to have running water in all bathrooms
Super nice. Quiet beach, ok fishing
Great place. Lots of surrounding sites and things to do. Great fishing and exceptional camping.
Went to see my sister who was working there awesome place, great sites , and good waters
Love that lake . Used to have a cabin there . Miss it a lot
A very nice campground surrounding many lakes for swimming, boating, fishing. The road into it is absolutely terrible and your RV will take a beating getting there. I think that being as we are being charged so much for camping and also parking, that this campground should kick in some money to fix the road as most of the tragic on the road is from all the campers traveling down it. If you can get passed the bad road the camping is lovely.
