Maksimir Park in Zagreb

HUGE park! So beautiful and peaceful. Plenty of routs, hidden spots and breathtaking views. Greatly maintained. Always some health activity going on. Also the Zoo is located there, which is not be missed. Spare a day and enjoy it.

Beautiful park, theres a large kids playground in the middle of the park and is always full of kids so you are free to enjoy while the kids play. Also the Zoo is near buy which is very convenient but it gets crazy crowded on weekends. The restaurant near the parks entrance is also very good and affordable.

A huge park with the lakes and the Zoo. Beautifully maintained. Dog friendly. There is a restaurant and a cafe there. Must visit when in Zagreb.

Fabulous park, with lots of places to enjoy a, picnic lunch, or visit the Zagreb Zoo inside the park boundary. Five lakes are also within the boundary and provide a great habitat for turtles, ducks, and other bird life.

The best park in Zagreb! The place is like jungle, after you ender you forgot that you are still in a city! Inside you can find cafeterias, restaurant and patisseries in different areas of the Park. During summer time there is a lot of shade perfect for activities, picnic or just time to relax.. For the kids also in the area they have a Zoo!

One of the best places in Zagreb, its a beautiful and big park. The forest is very old, however the upper parts are not as maintained as the lower parts, closer to the city. You can easily get lost in the beauty of nature here, and just spend every single day here without getting bored.This forest is my home since I live across the road. I visit almost every day, its a great place for a run, walk with friends, coffee with a nice view. Sometimes I just walk around to clear my head and enjoy the beauties of nature. I spent all my life here and I keep coming back to it. Endless summers spent running and just looking at the bright blue sky, catching my breath.You can also look at the wild birds and turtles (there are plenty).Sometimes I come here to feed the ducks.Its just incredible.

Its a perfect place to rest into the peaceful green scenery or to go for a walk with your friends or loved ones. Also its amazing for sports and active lifestyle. Paradise on Earth.

This park is fantastic! Very clean and being from Alaska gives me homey vibes back home. I generally take runs and go on walks through the Forest as much as I can. Definitely a plus staying by here.

A trully relaxing place, ever since i have enrolled in collage, ive been using this park to take a walk and relax.Dont be afraid to walk through the forest, i encourage exploration, it is very soothing.If only Zagreb invested more into the park, then it would DEFINITELY be 10/10, but right now its like 8,75/10

This is a great park close to the center of Zagreb with easy access by tram lines. The park has large grassy areas as well as many trails through the forested sections. There is a zoo in one corner and a cafe/bar in the center of the highly accessible area.

This place looks very nice. There is a lot of shadows, you can go to restorants to rest or by ice cream when you are passing by. Can be nice place if you are looking for something romantic or just for relaxing place. Enjoy !

Huge park with lots of benches, places to buy ice cream and a cafe. From the main entrance to the large lake is at least 20 minutes walking. Some parts on the northern side feel like a proper forest - tranquil with only the sound of birds.

Always beautiful. A walk, a bike ride, having a cup of coffee at Vidikovac...Lakes are beautiful after reconstruction.

I live near Park Maksimir and my quality of life is way better since I visit on an almost daily basis. Especially the northern part which is more wild gives me greenpeace. You Gou there to loose your mind and find your soul. For me personally the number one tourist attraction Zagreb has to offer.

This park is great in times when there are fewer people. It is very nice and well maintained.

Great place to have a long walk, escape from the city and enjoy a little bit of the calm of the small park and nice views. I think it looks a little bit neglected but at least is clean.

Park is huge and great runaway from city crowd.Located near to center and close to stadion it is great solution for all day walk.After park go to ZOO and fish on a coffe or lunch in the restaurants that are close to the park

Nice, big. The children playground is very muddy and there are not so many child slides, swings, as might expacted.☹ but very crowdy and nice to walk there.😀 thank you Zagreb.

The largest and most beautiful park in Zagreb, which is home to many species of birds. Unfortunately, the hiking trails are poorly maintained, especially in the northern, forested part of the park, so half of the trails are practically impassable from the mud for days after heavy rain. Very relaxing for walk or just to sit on bench and relax. Little bit of peace in city rush life.

What a lovely park. Theres plenty of green space to have a picnic, play with your pup, do yoga, etc., and trails to stroll along or run on. Maksimir is an ideal place to get outdoors while staying in the city.

I think I had high expectations for this park because of all the positive things I heard about it. Unfortunately, when I visited in August, they were doing some renovation work and some of the ponds were empty.Overall, the place looked a little unkempt, but I loved the wide lawns and found a cool, breezy spot in the shades to read 📖 next to a pond ⛲. The ducks 🦆 were funny!✅ Clean, stocked, free-to-use public toilets✅ Wheelchair accessible✅ Kids playgrounds

This park is very big and looks natural, great place for walking or running.There is a cafe/ bar and free bathrooms in the parkYou can enter the zoo from inside the park, 30kn for adults.

Amazing park with beautiful nature. Specially on winter, where you can see everything cover by snow. There is two lakes and many trails. If you come to Zagreb you cant leave the city without been here.

Big heavily forested park in the center-east side of Zagreb. With tram, just 7 stations from the main square (Ban Josip Jelačić). It contains Zagreb ZOO, many meadows, parks, paths through forest, caffes, 5 lakes with paths around them, monuments,... Every Zagreber is going here if in need for some fresh air.

Nice ZOO. I would like more animals but its ok. The restourat has ok food and prices. It a pleace that you need to visit.

By far this is my favorite place in Zagreb. I love to visit Maksimir in every time of the year, even during the winter. Its a place where I can find peace and contact with nature.

Amazing place❤️❤️ Do visit when you are at Zagreb, add it to your must go places list. Its calm, Serene with a lot of greenery around along with a pinch of colorful flowers & small lakes with the reflection of plants in it. Large area around it takes hour or hour and half for a short cut path but if you choose a long one it will be more than that.

I was taken here by a friend for a walk.... then for coffee and was the most beautiful walk in Zagreb .The park has some lakes, walking paths, playgrounds for kids, benches, green areas, coffee shop and us next to the Zagreb Zoo.Highly recommend to come here with friends, family for walk, running or biking

This park is enormous and surprisingly well kept for its size. You could spend a whole day just reading by the lake or walking some of the many trails as many of the locals do.Its a charming experience that will surely leave you wanting for more, even consider booking a place next to it if visiting.

Excellent and big park in the city of Zagreb.It hosts the zoological park of the city, but has many other interesting attractions inside: large fields, many species of trees (including Dedek, an old oak of more than 600 years, lakes).Ideal to go with children, to play, bike, run or walk.There is also a cafeteria.

The biggest and most beautiful park in Zagreb! Its actually a small woods with lakes. You can go jogging there, bring your kids to the playground, take a relaxing walk or even have lunch. Definitely worth visiting!
