Appetizing food, cozy atmosphere and relaxing music. I would come back to this place again.

A bit disappointed.1Ordered Tom-yum and rice, when Tom-yum was ready, turned out that they ran out of rice so we had to eat soup without it. They could tell us this before making it so that we could order sth else.2)Shrimps in the soup were not peeled, they were with tales and skin which was not nice.3)Sushi was quit expensive but not tasty cause rice was weird, like it was cooked to much or sth, it was glued together.

I loved their food, especially the kimchi stew. A great place for those who loves Korean and/or spicy food.

One of my favorite places in Saint Petersburg. You should come here if you want to eat real Korean cuisine. The portions are big, I usually order only one meal. The waiters are very polite and hospitable. My favorites are guksu and pibimbap.

That was my first time in MakkoLi and I was surprised with the taste which they have managed to save, I mean the traditional Korean taste! As Korean I appreciate it very much! Gonna visit you guys again! P.S The waiter Alex was very polite and nice, I definitely recommend this place to all fans of Korean cuisine!

In search for a korean restaurant we had found this place, and it was a great choice. Large meals, very tasty meat and nice polite waiter. Definitely will visit next time.

Great place! Super tasty food! Good service as well. I dont know much about authentic Corean food, unfortunately, but the taste, the quality and the amount of the plates are very good. I sincerely recommend this place.

If you like to try Korean food in St. Petersburg I recommend this place have a lot of traditional Korean foods you can try. Its delicious, tasty, good quality. I ate many restaurant in Russia I can say here is the best.

Great Korean food in the heart of the city, with some Japanese and Chinese dishes thrown in. Really nice and cosy venue, and good prices! Had kimchijigae (picture below), which was great, but was slightly disappointed that the restaurant didn’t have the drink it was named for (Makkoliwhen we were there D:

Great place to eat and has the best grills right in front of you!

The restaurant is cozy and the service is good. The food is delicious comparing to other Korean restaurants in European cities. The portion is big and cheap.

Be prepared that they will serve you soup that is so hot that it’ll burn your lips. When I complained about it to the staff I wasn’t even offered a discount, though I had to go to the pharmacy nearby to treat it. Also there’s no ‘built-in grill’ on the tables.

Service was good, very friendly and fast. We were there on their anniversary day and got a free desert! Dishes were made with quality ingredients: tasty fresh noodles, good rice, varied vegetables. Portions were large for the price. Only downside is that food was lacking that typical Korean flavor somewhat. Nothing was really spicy and that outspoken kimchi-red pepper flavor was lacking. However, if you’re not expecting perfectly authentic Korean flavors, the food is excellent.

Jjajangmyeon was good, but definitely not authentic, which is a shame, because it was the only food I went there for.Reply: I had many jjajangmyeons in Korea, and the sauce was much thicker and darker. Yours felt watered down.

For whom who loves spicy Korean food.

I recommend! Very much enjoyed the food. Everything was well prepared and tasted great. The pork and vegetables was very yummy and well prepared. The large seafood and noodle soup was very filling and tasty even though the seafood was obviously previously frozen, but we are far from the ocean after all and its to be expected. Plus my seafood expectations are high since I am from a coastal city in USA. I will note that the spiciness of the food was absolutely perfect! Very light and even just how a not very spicy dish should be.

Rebranding went pretty well for the place. Great design, nice atmosphere. Food is really decent and quality is actually above the price.Also, I would like to admit the level of service. Waiters here are always doing great job.

Whenever I am in town I always visit this restaurant. I have been doing this for 8 years now. They recently renovated it, and somehow kitchen staff and servers changed, therefore I can no longer say that this is the best Korean restaurant in Saint Petersburg.It used to be, but it is not anymore.I hope they fix it, we value authentic Korean food and menu doesnt have to be big and there should not be Russian, Japanese or Chinese items on the menu and there is no need for large menu!Maybe they are making more money now, but they definitely lost their core values and Korean charm.

I was excited to find this restaurant clode to St.Petersburg main train hub. I had business lunch during my business trip. The food was great, so many new flovors, very unususal for Russian food scene. The service was great, I liked the environment, very clean and stylish, modern korean music ob the background and korean imported drinks in the menu. Full immersion! I definitely recommend this place and will come back to try more dishes!
