Makiling Rainforest Park in Calauan

Oh what a lovely rainforest park, all you see are green and breath of fresh air never fails making it a sweet journey

We were here on 11 may 2022. We could only go to the forest reservation, the summit was closed. We had to be back at 2 pm. We had to register at least a day before.

The place has a calming effect. The tall trees surrounding you. The breath of fresh air never fails.

One of a kind experience.

Huge park with some interesting spots (mud-springsand fresh bulalo if ure lucky ;Hiking up Mt Makiling (dont Forget ur IDis half way lame course just cement road, then u take a path to the viewpoints (ask for open paths at registration desk!but acessable for all kind of bikers now until u reach agila base

Interestingness - There are many things to do in the park, from exploring mud springs to a full-blown hike to the peak.Trails - These are clear and easy to tread.Campsite - There are several campsites sites have good facilities. There are toilets and shower rooms in the campsite and faucets and sinks for washing cookware. Water is readily available. Temperatures are nice and cool even in the summer.

great hiking experienced with my children...from 9.30 am until 4pm.. naka station until 8 lang kami at super pagod na mga babies ko.. nag mudd spring kami then beside dito meron batis.. naligo mga babies ko... then balik na ulit kmi sa station 2 sa flat big rocky.. mas ok na dito maligo kasi malaki ang space ng pagliliguan mejo slippery nga lang... super pagod.. pero great experienced sa mga chikiting...... ingatz lang sa mga linta.. mag long sleeve na manipis lang para presko.. baon ng water at food..

When I was young, the road going up to Agila Base was a mix of dirt road and trails. Now its all concrete which is sad for us trail enthusiasts and mountain bikers. Definitely an unnecessary project of the government to earn kickbacks..

Best for biking ang hiking experience. .

Mt. Makiling is one of my favorite mountains to climb, in spite of the blood leeches (limatik).Its one of the mountains in the south thats well-preserved so you get to see a lot of flora and fauna.Also, its forest protects you from the sun even during the hottest months of summer.So, even if it doesnt have a 360 degree view at its summit, I keep coming back. :-)

Amazing place for refreshing with outdoor activity. Very good maintenance track to reach the peak.Facilities of CR need for tracker. . .Other than Peak, These also mudspring and flatrock should to reached. Good option.Fresh air under rainforest park. Best experience!

Clean and Green

Like to walk along the road up to the picnic ground especially in December as the weather is cooling and the air is fresh (when no motorbike struggle pass).Like to stop by the stalls to have a refreshing buko drink and a simple bowl of mamee.There is constant improvement to the road recently... rather worried that it means jeeney and other motor vehicles will swamp the area and pollute the air soon.
