Visiting them from last 25 years since my young college days.Mutton Rice with kabab still maintains the same taste.

Taste is ok, but too much oily.

Not good just average veg biryani

No taste left like older days...

Makhan Singh biryani shop is a first shop for biryani in this area really good taste till now.

One of the oldest shop for boneless mutton biryani prepared with desi ghee. They have maintained the flavour even today. Its a drive through place where you cannot dine in. Parking is a big issue here as there are other food joints adjacent to it.

The food here is amazing and it has been consistently quality from the past here

Forget the name and image from past, this place is now absolute waste of time and money. They use Dalda now for preparation and rice was horrible in taste and chicken pieces were overcooked, had a terrible experience. Go for Rakesh at Parade instead.

Naam bade darshan thode..it was like fried rice having some mutton chunks...they should learn biryani prepration from south.

They do not sell biryani. They sell pulao. Pulao instead which is tasty. Mutton kabab is also available but the proportion of main ingredient/mutton is nominal.

Know this place since 1998. Tasted mutton for the first time was Makhan Singh, Arya nagar, Kanpur. FANTASTIC..

Overrated. Biryani did not had that spark in it. Mutton was dry. You can try once since its a very old shop.

No one in kanpur can probably beat the biryani from makhan singh... the rich aroma is also a thing that made my stomach more growling...

Not a fan of taste, mutton tikka rice tastes bland. They themselves dont call it biryani, and refer it as mutton rice so youll get an idea that its not a biryani.Kebabs are good but not different from other places. No place to sit and eat is also a drawback. Rates are low but taste needs to be improved.

Biryani taste is fabulous with मक्खन सिंह की चटनी but the problem is quantity is still the same but the prices so high they should we think twice on price rest all is okay staff are friendly and responsive.There is no place to sit by stand and self service is available.

The food taste is absolutely bewildering. Everything seems too perfect.The only drawback is, you dont have a place to sit there itself and eat, you need to use your vehicle for eating it.

Technically its not a Biryani, its a mutton gried rice, which, in fact is WAY BETTER than biryani❤️ I totally love it. Its closed on Tuesday and other days its open till 11. Hope you guys enjoy there. And yes, do try their signature kebabs

Kababs are great... But if you are looking for Spicy and tasty mutton biriyani then you will be disappointed

Post the lockdown, the taste has gone severely down.Infact tikkas in the tikka rice have almost vanished.If the quality doesnt improve, there is no scope these peeps will stay for a longer run!

There was time when it was one the only places in kanpur where we use to get delicious biryani. The taste here is unique, but the preparations here are in dalda (vanaspati). So .if you didnt eat it hot you wont be able to eat it. Parking is big problem there.

Well to start reopened after quite a while but the taste is still the same must try are the chicken tikka rice and egg rise..... Worth every penny spent!!!!

One of the very worst poor biryani in the city, very bad taste, very bad ambience, the name is makkhan singh but doesnt puts any of it, and its all dalda only and even calls it mutton biryani but he is fooling customers by mixing it with beef which like hell bad, one of the very bad place in kanpur and even overpriced not worth, highly not recommended.

Very average tikka rice and kebabs. Nothing to rave about, really. I had these 2 dishes over there but did not find them to be tasty the way they used to be, many years ago. Sad!

Well it is no more makhan singh ki biryani now the signboard is sarabjit singhI tried Mutton biryani which is OK for 170/-Soft kebbabsAnd many more, experienced a street food. People do order from there car.

Probably one of my favourite places. The biryani is soo soo good. I frequently visit there. The service is also very good. And you cant really complain if youre having that biryani.

The biryani was yummy and the meat was well cooked. As compared with the prices, quantity provided were way to less. I have ordered for half or full plate the quantity delivered was VERY LESS. Please make sure to get the worth of charged price for food!

If you are old kanpuriya biryani lover. This was famous between old generation people. But now this shop is struggling. Authetic taste. Must visit. No seating is available here.

Owner attitude is not good. Even not served properly as serving boy was keeping one plate above the other plate, no hygiene.Also he was picking up mutton pieces from naked hands to average out. Cheap place. Dont recommend.

The best in the town. If you ever desire to have tikka rice but dont know which place to crash - this is it. They serve mutton tikka rice, egg rice, leg piece etc. But theyre best known for mutton tikka rice (with Chutney), because it has its separate fan base.

Biryani is an emotion not a food item and this place badly fails on my expectations most of the people may like biryani available here but its not everyones cup of tea to feel such emotion while tasting the real biryani......Real biryani is soul satisfying which is currently unavailable here I guess food items available here is not worth your money I am big foodie and I have tasted far better biryani in kanpur than this place

One of the old taste left in kanpur. Biryani is the same but i miss the tamarind touch in chutney. I am fan since 1990. And beleive me you do need to get a taste if you can. They also offer kabab; chicken fry; and egg rice. You can also order tikka egg rice my old favourite. Mix and match menu as you seem fit. Great place 10/10 for flavour and originality.

This is the oldest biryani corner in Kanpur I have been visiting. The mutton tikka rice (you can also top it up with shammi kababs). The taste is awesome and it isnt pricey at all. The place gets really busy at nights and during weekends, good thing is they serve till very late at night, so for all those "starving bats", its the best place to go to.The menu is filled with best items for meat lovers, go for it as per your choice.

This place used to be good. Now it is not worth coming. There is not even a name written on the shop. Cant recognize. Chicken biryani isnt available. Just mutton. That too not good. AVOID

Nice Mutton Biryani served here. Takeaway and drive-in option available. No seating arrangement but car parking and bike parking option available. Menu includes kebabs, biryani, fried chicken, etc.
