Makai Beach Bar in Polygyros

This is the perfect bar. The best food in Sithonia. The service is excellent, the sea is wonderful. The beach is clean and they are always there. A small complaint about the WIFI on the beach, a 15e wifi router could have solved that, but we wont be evil :The prices are normal, I think it was 30e consumption and you get free sunbeds and an umbrella.

Nice place. Get a frappe or a fresh joice, sit on the beach and enjoy. The water is clean .

A beautiful beach bar with chill and relaxing atmospherePositives:- The location is easily accessible and you can park freely on the street outside.- The beds were very comfortable and offered deep shade.- The menu is big enough and everything we ordered was delicious.- Everyone was super friendly and overall the service was great.- The beach is not overcrowded and there is a good space between the rows of chaise lounges and beds that offer more privacy than the usual beach bar.- The music was great.Negatives- The beach bar is placed on two levels: the upper one is where the bar is and there is a zone with beds and grass. The lower level is where the beach is. We were put on the upper level and that worked great for us, because we were a big company. But have in mind that when you are in the sea, you don’t have a view on your belongings.- The beach is nice, but there are rocks here and there. Definitely not the shallowest, but overall it’s good.

Food is nice and not too expensive. Very comfortable places to lay and chill at The beach. Good service, a functioning restroom and not crowded. The beach and water is great for Kids. You really need to go far from the beach to get into deep waters.

Lovely! The beach is beautiful, the bar well laid out, the staff kind, they do good coffee (they even do non dairy freddo cappuccino !and the policy (summer 2021): no entry fee and no charge for umbrellas. This place sets standards!

Perfect location service and music.

Place is very nice. Prices are quite expensive, I wonder if 30 euros minimum expense at the bar for an umbrella is acceptable. No parking, you have to squeeze your car on the narrow road.

Beautiful place! Amazing staff and atmosphere. The food was also great.The sea is a bit dirty at the shore, but after that area is crystal clear.I highly recommand this place!

I loved it! All of it! It was really close to our villa, the beach is great, the bar and the staff are perfect, the music was amazing, the menu is ideal and I had most probably one of the best burgers I had ever tried!

We used to visit this beach bar the last 3 years but at our last visit we were informed that there is a minimum consumption of 30€ per set which is totally unacceptable for such a place where there are no other options for beach bars. Instead of lowering the prices in these difficult circumstances they keep rising them exploiting the natural beauty of this place.

Great beach bar! Friendly staff, cold beer and really nice cocktails. The only downside is that it’s open only until 22:00 in the weekdays and there are no other bars in the area.

We had some expectations based on other ratings, most of them were met. The food was great, the atmosphere is a bit fancy, or rather artistic - it gives some leisure vibe. The 4 stars are because the mochito drink was right on the taste, but not on the technique, and the music is too loud (bass-y). The beach itself is nothing special, you can do much much better, not too bad though. Give it a try - it might be an aqcuired taste.

My favourite place in the whole Sithonia. Great atmosphere - A lot of young people; food is high quality; the music playlist is original; the beds were soooo comfortable. We fell in love with the staff!

Great place to relax, have a drink (or two…and to enjoy the beach. Food is good, but served in disposable boxes and cutlery (not environment friendly). Friendly staff!

A beautiful place with good music. Shallow waters with sand, excellent for children. Basic food and drinks, Greek traditional, good prices, free umbrellas. A reservation could be required in full season.

Very nice beach bar!!! Excellent service. You can where to have your drink (at the bar or at the beach or even higher sitting at the big beds). Excellent choice. Last year the beach was very clean like a pool!

First of all, really great staff and owner, exactly who youd hope to be running a rad little beach bar!But in top of this, drinks and food were amazing, they put some effort into making some interesting menu options.And! The beach was beautiful. Probably the softest sand we found on all the beaches in the area, and a slow change of depth so it was perfect for kids.Oh yes... Killer tunes as well. Check it out!

One of the best places in the area weve been to. Good music, nice atmosphere, very good and nice staff and all the things we tried from the menu were totally worth it (burgers, paninis, baguette, yogurt with fruts, smoothies)

We used to come in the same beach bar, almost a decade ago when it was called “Sorokos”. We went there at Friday afternoon and as soon as we entered the hostess came to inform us that the sunbeds in front of the sea were full. (Expected for FridayInstead she puts us in an Indian Tipi. Best choice ever. They transformed the old parking space into an amazing garden with sunbeds, just 5 meters away from the beach! Very beautiful place, with amazing decorations and very fast and attentive service! Very good menu as well, totally recommended!

great beach, crystal clean water and a flat shore line. The beach loungers are superb. Everything is neat and tidy. The super clean toilets are a big plus. The service is great, friendly and fast.They offer food, drinks and awesome coffee.

I visited Makai previous Sunday. The place was unique and the service was excellent. I really enjoyed my cocktails with DJs great music vibes.

Chilled vibe with great cocktails and burgers. Of course the rest of the menu looks tasty but Im totally in love with the burgers! With their quick and kind service and the ocean view combined with the atmosphere of the beach bar, we had a remarkable weekend! Looking fw for the next time!
