Mixology is the pretentious word for cocktailbar, but its far from a pretentious cocktailbar. The location indoor is not that fascinating. The star is the outside seating area. The cocktail prices were also very "unpretentious". About 9-10 euro for a cocktail. Im from amsterdam where the prices are much higher so i would definitly reccommend this place for any mixology enthusiast

We came off the Main Street to find this hidden gem with a great vide. We asked if we could have just drinks and took a seat. The place has a good atmosphere and we placed our order with the attentive waiters. The drinks were very good and the complimentary olives were plump and juicy. The decor is worth seeing and the feature wall designed for Instagram and pictures on socials is a nice touch. It’s a bit more expensive but you realise it is worth it when you sit down and enjoy the atmosphere.

We came across this lounge bar while we were walking around the city during the day and we were impressed of the hidden courtyard that looked so beautiful. Later the same day we decided to visit it again for a drink and we were surprised as there was a live jazz show going on. We enjoyed our drinks, had a lovely night and it became a must for us. The atmosphere of the place, the relaxed music and the very interesting cocktails make this bar unique. A must visited place in Palermo.

Enjoyed the ambience but the live music was waaaay too loud. When the musician went on break, the background music played at a good lever.

Loved the cocktails however the staff tried to hard and cleaned our table, took my cigarettes as we went to the washroom.

What a gem we found in Palermo! Amazing cocktails and staff went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable..Special thanks to Umberto, Guisy and Noemi! Their liquor selection is unlike any other we have found around here..we will be back! :)

Proper cocktails in a unique ambiance. Chairs and couches could be more comfortable though.

Cool place, horrible cocktails, really horrible. I mean if I want to taste tequila I ask for a shot, not a cocktail. Take the picture of the lights and the words of the back and run. Or ask for a shot, a beer or maybe a coke. Not a cocktail.

Mak Mixology is one of the most warm, inviting, and inventive cocktail bars I have ever been to. It’s a hidden gem. My friend and I came across this lounge bar partially hidden in a courtyard and decided to come back that evening. The repurposed building takes you back in time creating an elegant and vintage environment. The staff explained the cocktails in the menu, and he was receptive to what we would like and would want different. Highly recommended!

If i ever get back to Palermo i will visit this place. Great cocktails, but even if they were just "good" i would be back just to get some more of those free of charge homemade chili almonds.Whomever makes those deserve a raise.

We went in the summer so we were sitting outside. The atmosphere is excellent though the courtyard(?you have to sit feels a bit dirty and we were constantly fearing something will fall from above, luckily that went away from the 2nd drink xD. The small collection of appetizers they have is also pretty nice.

Very well located in the heart of Palermo, right by the vibrant Via Maqueda street, this cocktail bar has a beautiful decor with an industrial-like outdoor area that is very spacious and welcoming. The menu is pretty creative and the cocktails are well executed. Both of our drinks were complex, tasty and delicious. I personally enjoy old fashioned style cocktails and the Armonioso, a bourbon base drink that macerates a few days with coconut was really interesting!

Definitely the best Cocktail Bar in Palermo.The location is a voluptuous bar, partially hidden in the city centre.Superb cocktails.If you love to sin, this is the place to go for gluttony damnation.

Magical place, very friendly staff, great cocktails. If you dont find a cocktail you like on their extensive menu just describe what kind of flavors you like (bitter, sweet, sour, strong or not,...and they will shake something according to your preferences. Highly recommended.

Tl;Dr:Try its nice style before it gets swallowed by tourists, expect okay cocktails, not more.Interior is great, live music as well. Staff was really nice, though overworked as all of them are in this city.Cocktails are mediocre. E.g. Negroni is not shaken with ice but served with lots of it. So you wait five minutes before its enjoyable, then you have another ten before it turns into water.Gin Tonic is only served with Schweppes or FT indian (+1€). So no way to taste the stronger gins. Gin selection is good though.Also they messed up my order, serving Schweppes instead of FT but still charging the +1€ extra, even though I notified them earlier.

Weve been there 3 times and every time they made us feel really unwelcome. Overall they are very unfriendly and it takes some time before you get your order even when we were the only ones sitting there.It looks nice but thats about it.

A wonderful bar! Very original cocktails for fair prices (around 10€). Very nice details, good jazz background music, super friendly staff, and a cozy environment. Also not very full of people. I recommend it 1000%!

Meh. Not a mixology bar. But definitely a decent cocktail bar. 3 stars because it’s misnamed. Everything standard on the drink menu and nothing that makes it unique. Atmosphere is jazzy but doesn’t make up for the lack of ingenuity on the menu.

I wrote the review below over a year ago and Im happy to report that I went back twice last week and its still good.Ive had cocktails in the courtyard on two separate visits to Palermo. An interesting cocktail selection and some quirky furniture.

I cannot recommend this place enough! The drinks were delicious and had great presentation. The servers and bartenders were very pleasant and helpful. My husband and I both agreed this was our favorite place for drinks in Palermo.

We enjoyed several drinks on several visits during a recent stay in Palermo. The creative menu offered lots of options and the ambiance was great. Live music and dancing happened one night, which made excellent use of the space. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome.

I thought a previous criticism by Liz regarding this establishment was really unfair. The bartenders at this place are world class, they can literally make any drink you can think of. Just because you didnt see anything you liked on their house specials list does not warrant such a terrible review. They will make you anything you want. I just had one of the best Old Fashions I have ever had. Not on their menu either.

A very nice place, there was a piano show witch really set the mood. Its a little pricey, but it is expected by its location. I would prefer if they served coffee but its only for drinks

I wanted to like it - in fact, we went back there the day after we initially saw it because I was so convinced it would be fabulous- but there was not actually anything on the cocktail menu that was remotely appealing. I would up getting a glass of wine and a few nibbles, and my husband ordered a Rum Coke. I thought maybe we were just not hip enough for the place, but then the couple at the next table asked us what they should get because they were having the same problem. The place looks fabulous, but there is really nothing great on the menu.

Great relaxed vibe in this old abandoned shopping plaza. The live music can be great and the drinks are brilliant.

I love this place for the location in itself. It is decadent but appealing, vintage and modern. You feel like suspended in a place that is not in the crowded city. It Is like a place far away from everything where you can sit down and just relax, watch the sky through the broken roof. The drinks are creative and good, a little bit expensive but in the end the quality is great!

The music & vibe is very pleasant. Had a nice glass of Catarratto wine.

Went in looking for somewhere to hide from the rain. Fab bar interesting artwork and decor, jazz music in background but not overwhelming conversations. Good beer and cocktails. We whiled away a very pleasant couple of hours.

Beautiful restaurant/bar with terrace in the old galleria. Nice cocktails. Bit pricey.
