Rude manager rooms were dirty beds were uncomfortable stay away at all costs .

Excellent ,clean , warm , friendly and helpful staff . Sound proof . Bed lovey , had excellent sleep . Tea and coffee in room , plenty off towels . Will be going back next year . Xx great price to affordable x

We were told where the room was,not shown to it.We soon discovered the springs were sticking through the mattress,Immediately complained and was told that the previous guests had not complained.We were given another room with a sea view which was an improvement.However,there was no maid service so had to make our own beds,wash cups etc.Toilet seat was falling off,no shaver socket,no hairdryer.Shower was very small.Would I stay there again? not in a million years.! I would rather sleep in the beach.AVOID !!

Parking was not available, if you left hotel, room was clean but floorboards about to give way even on landings.

Really friendly staff lovely room with a sea view cant fault it.

A good value for money Hotel in a great location on the seafront with ample parking my room was clean and comfortable with everything I needed staff were great.A good sized bar with a pool table.I will be booking again when I’m back in the area.DaveT.

Terrible hotel. Rating here reflects it, my mistake i have not checked it before my stay. Take my advice and look for other places - plenty of hotels in Great Yarmouth.

Room was a sauna as the radiator was broken. Shower flooded the room and the taps made the room smell like sewage. Checking in was a nightmare, so disorganised.

Wasnt over impressed we didnt stay was just there for a function, the bar and dinning area has been recently decorated as for drinks there were only one ale beer and that wasnt available on pump therefore there were no bottled real ales available only fruit cider or a lager which came out very gassy, asked for a lemon slice to go with a tonic none, finally the desserts for the function were Mr Kipling. I cannot comment on the rooms.

Very unorganised. Had no pillows in my room. Not enough staff in the place. Radiators couldn’t be turned off so my parents had to sleep in a sauna pretty much. Smelt of sewage. Parking is terrible. Nice breakfast though.

The coffee was just dreadful. The rooms had no quality to them at all. Try a different hotel in great Yarmouth if I was you.

HEALTH HAZARD - Stayed here for a week in august, Jesus Christ I’d rather do I’m a celebrity get me out of here!Stayed in room 56 (my 2nd roomdoor was hanging off, no cover over light in bathroom, health hazard, severe black mould all round bath, plaster falling off wall, bed side furniture falling apart, shower rail falling off wallMy first room, damp everywhere, extreme black mould in and round toilet, bed sheets dirty black mould present there toBreakfast, well talk about rations 1 egg, 1 bacon, 1 sausage, bit of toastWhen asked about breakfast, was given extra, now reading reviews on here found out the friendly member of staff who gave extra has been sacked for doing a great job!Owner is only out for profit and not customer satisfaction, was very rude when asked if I could change rooms for the first timeAvoid at all costs! Would not recommend to anybody!

AVOID !! This hotel is the worst I’ve ever stayed in, the rooms are not fit for purpose, broken showers, damp walls, wet dirty towels on windowsill ! absolutely appalling, the staff who had literally been on all day was shattered, one lady running it all, we had to change rooms and my 80 year old dad was put in a room that was once a kitchen turned bedroom ! No radiators ! freezing cold, given a portable heater, terrible and would not have put a dog in there, dad never had any sleep, beds absolutely just not fit either, bedding clean but the whole hotel needs pulling down. We would never eat breakfast there ! it was like a hostel, vile

Was just an ok stay, we stayed in a superior room. But felt there wasn’t much superior about it. There were stains on the ceiling, tiles missing in the bathroom the shower was quite small if u lifted your arms up to wash your hair your elbows touched the sides. To try and have a wash or brush your teeth in a very small sink was near on impossible. And there was a kettle to make tea but the only way to fill the kettle was to put your cup under the tap in the sink as the kettle didn’t fit. We did ask for clean towels and toilet rolls on the second day and was told we could have them in about 1 hour. They never arrived. In my opinion the rooms are over priced for what you get and if we stayed in the superior rooms I dread to think what the normal double would have been. Oh and there was a little table and chairs in the room but when I lifted the chair to move it out the back of the chair came away from the seat. When we was checking out the manager asked us to leave a good review and he would give us 10% back on our stay. So please be careful when reading the good reviews.

I stayed here 12th August as walk in very nicely done until you go into the rooms i stayed in room 57 there hole in floor if not careful you foot would go through it mould round bath very strong smell of mould aswell homeless shelter i seen cleaner i would not recommend you stay here

First day we got there the problems had started bed base was broken then moved into a different room which was ok then moved back into same room once they fixed bed mattress was very uncomfortable even after then changing it.Mold in shower, dirty pillow cases, holes everywhere, broken mirror, toilet smelly like a public toilet, chairs broken, door was not the right size so when the wind was blowing constantly banging, keys say the sea Princess DO NOT RECOMMEND You booking here

The rooms are inexpensive but not worth the price.First impressions were that the location is great, right on the beach and the receptionist was very friendly. The initial optimism quickly wore off.The rooms were terrible many issues ranging from general poor standard to serious issues over cleanliness, facilities and potential safety hazards.I would urge people not to stay here unless they were desperate based on my experience.

Seemed very nice on arrival, bar area very welcoming. But once I got to my room I was very disappointed, a window that offered nothing but a view to a hotel opposite, with a net curtain that barely covered the window, a shower/toilet room that was tiny and difficult to move in, and also filthy, stains in the toilet bowl and a shower head full of limescale. The bed was not put together properly and was very uncomfortable, bedding also had stains. The breakfast was appalling, a very small selection, and only allowed 1 of each of the limited 6 items. To top off the stay an incredibly rude receptionist who argued with my mother, will NOT be staying again, and highly recommend NEVER staying here .

Just come back from this hotel stayed 3 nights couldnt stay in this hotel any longer. Bed linen was dirty and stained. I had to buy extra duvets to lay on as well as new pillows .everything was dirty and mouldy floors havent been cleaned or hoovered .wallpaper hanging off in areas stained carpets cobwebs .if you wanted a cleaner you had to ask .bad smell of damp throughout the building .doors all patched up several holes in the doors .nails coming out of the floorboards .parking is a night mare . This hotel should be avoided not nice at all .would never go back there again

I would say it the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, the floors were dirty and bathroom was dirty, wallpaper hanging off. The room door lock was broken and handle hanging off. Me and my partner left socks on to walk about. The mattress was spring no padding when we laid on it and felt spring and the base. I definitely wouldn’t have a family with kids in there. We moved after day one to a better hotel. There diy matinance man must be blind shocking repair work is worst I ever seen paint every where aswell . Our 1 year old was with us and no way would I let her stay in there. Spoke to other guests and all saying the same.

Arrived and was placed in no.15 and it had mould on the shower . The bed had stains on. Then went to open bedroom window and it dropped and nearly fell off the hinges . Was moved and it was bareable but bed is uncomfortable & the eggs for breakfast were not cooked through.

Floorboards missing under carpet, bathroom very very small. Proprietor promised a part refund if a good review was left, still waiting. Tv only showed BBC channels, handyman looked at it, more channels but no signal. Gave up after that. I mean, friendly enough but needs lots and lots of work doing to it to bring it up to standard. Wasnt cheapest and I expected better

I had an unpleasant stay. It was very unclean, spiders everywhere, room not cleaned before arrival. Dirty smell and not well lit room either. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Staff and Manager very accommodating , relaxed and helpful.Room 33 had ample space, really comfy, clean beds/bedding and a great sea view. Parking on site. Room was clean, had everything we needed.Some areas of the hotel still appeared dated, but on going refurbishment is in progress.We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely dreadful hotel it is dirty and needs updating the beds where stained and the springs where very soft and lumpy did not get a good sleep

Bed mattresses springs stick up so had to buy duvet to fold and lay on.No hot water, tap broken, waited 3 days of excuses then quit and booked out day 4. Parking problem continually blocked in. No daily cleaning only if requested daily. Breakfast do not stock marmalade.

Room had everything I needed, staff really helpful and found a bed side fan for me too. Bed was a little uncomfortable. Have their own bar with a decent selection of drinks with a few popular choices on tap. Great price so would happily book again

Doesnt deserve one star,our silver wedding anniversary ruined,Dirty smell on entry and all through passages,bathroom light not working, bathroom window wouldnt open, used towel,back of bed filthy, gaps in floor the list goes on... overall DISCUSTING.!

Stayed here in April my room was disgusting. They moved me after I complained but the room was only a bit better. Shower mouldy toilet dirty. Underpants left in my room . They really are arrogant when replying to companys on bookings . They need to wake up and smell the coffee! This place is disgusting and they need to get it sorted

Room 56; Very friendly staff and really good location! Nice clean room, comfy bed however bathroom was falling apart with cracked walls and splodges of paint on the walls n floor! No cover for the bathroom light (safety issue). Door even when locked wasnt secure and could almost be opened by anyone! Floors creek all the time when walking around! Need more pillows but for the price you pay its not too bad! It does the job tho but there are better places Im sure!

IF YOU ARE VULNERABLE, DO NOT STAY HEREIts awful. Black mould on pillows, batteries on the floor which showed that the room had not even been hoovered between guests. Black mould on the shower head, limescale galore, rotten carpets and filthy plug sockets. Mentioned to the "receptionist" that the entire bedding was filthy, including the mattress protector. They said it was changed, but it was not.Due to the very serious health issues present, we checked out within 30 minutes of arriving. The "receptionist" essentially laughed in our faces and lied to us about getting a refund. She said that she had no power to offer a refund, but that is a LIE. We mentioned how dangerous a black mould filled room is for someone who is vulnerable, and she simple shrugged her shoulders and said "we can offer you a room for tomorrow night..." so an ill person is supposed to sleep in a very disgusting room overnight? Just to be put into another disgusting room the day after?She was incredibly rude and flagrant when spoken to about the health issues presented. Avoid this vile hotel at all costs.

Staff are very friendly there was stuff for vegetarians to eat but nothing special like you can eat the eggs the cereal the fruit but there wasnt like vegetarian sausages or vegetarian bacon and stuff like that the place is at the best end of Great Yarmouth situated right in front of everything very good positioning but the wardrobe and the drawers were completely collapsed in but they did fix it when I complaint first thing in the morning the corridor to the public toilets near the breakfast room is very dirty and they tell you if you give him a 10 review you if you book online they will give you some of your money back

You get what you pay for , room was nice sea view, breakfast was very good , we found this very good value. Would stay again if we was in the area.

Lovely clean hotel, very clean rooms, stunningly decorated. Very, very friendly and helpful staff. They couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was really nice. We had a lovely weekend. Stunning views of the sea from our room. Very quiet as were right at the top of the hotel. Thank you so much The Majestic. We will be back again soon. Five stars on everything. ♥️♥️

Will never go back , staff are friendly until you have a problem , breakfast was supposed to be a full English but it was awful , its a buffet so you get it served to you but its an embarrassment how they do it ,, when we stayed last year , you ordered it and it was lovely , this year we got fried eggs that were hard, beans that were dried up up in a clump , no mushrooms as advertised , it was an embarrassment, we heard other people complaining about the same things as us , we had no hot water for a shower and couldnt watch the TV as no signal, when we complained there was just excuses and when I said to the lady in the breakfast room on the second morning , are there any runny eggs this morning she just said they are as runny as they can be , err no they werent and she never offered to get a runny egg for me which would only of taken a couple of minutes, my daughter asked for scrambled eggs as she doesnt like fried eggs and it came out like rubber and no taste , we were thinking of going back but not now as I said staff are ok as long as you dont complain about anything , as we had no hot water we had to go over to the other side to have a shower in a spare room and take all our things with us , just a joke, we saved hard for this, what a let down

Beyond Bad!The Hotel Majestic (or Sea Princess as it was previously knowntops our list of one of the worst hotels that we have ever experienced.Set within a tired and fairly run down building, the room itself was absolutely awful. The decor is dingy and very dirty. Poorly painted with broken fittings, our first impression was you have to be joking!. The owners are not joking. They just crammed the space with beds (this was, alarmingly, termed a family room), budget DIY furniture and nothing in the way of creature comforts such as bedside lamps or adequate curtains.In addition to the depressing visual and hygenic aspects to the accomodation, was the musty smell that greeted us whenever we entered this dreadful pit.DISCLOSURE: Upon checking out, we were offered a generous financial reward for giving this property a high-scoring online review.

Location is ideal opposite the beach and the picturesque waterways. The main shopping street is a short walk away.The room was tidy and whilst it needed some updating, for a bed for the night, it suffices.The bed itself was good and slept well.There was a slight smell when the water was turned on....which could deter people and similarly outside when the window was open.The room was facing a racetrack instead of the sea but this was not particularly requested.For a base to discover Great Yarmouth this is a good option to consider.Personally I WOULD return again but I hope the hotel once known as "The sea princess" makes the improvments to the rooms that other reviews give and I wish them success.At this stage, I am not sure I would risk my reputation and fully reccomend it, however.... there are a lot worse in Yarmouth and if budget is something to consider, and you are not worried about cosmetics as much and not going to be in much, then sure.PersonallyI liked it, however others may not.I have tried to make this review as fair as possible....

All the facilities including our bedroom was wonderful. We were upgraded to a sea view room which had really nice far reaching views . The entire hotel was kept extremely clean

The standard of the room was absolutely disgusting, rusty bathroom that was filthy, beds covered in stains, a window missing so a very cold night, absolutely no care at all put into this hotel. We got on with our weekend as disruption and arguements was not what we wanted for a weekend away. When asked for a refund they said they would have given us a different room of we had said at the time (we looked in 2 others that had doors open and they were equally disgusting, so I am glad we didnt start a room shuffle!In other words they are happy to let people stay in disgusting rooms and charge for it if they dont say anything. Anyone who doesnt speak up for themselves due to a fear of conflict should avoid this hotel as you will probably get the worst rooms! The worst place I have ever stayed in. The room was dirty, heating was not working, bathroom window won’t shut, the shower was not draining and the toilet was leaking on the floor. Manager was rude. The downstairs area seems ok but the rest of the pictures were very misleading

The worst hotel I have ever had the displeasure of staying at and below is a list of issues- Were moved rooms- leaking toilet- Shower blocked up- Urine in the toilet- Soiled carpet- Mould on ceiling and shower curtain- Several hairs in shower- Windows wouldn’t shutPictures show small areas of the room which look nice until you look closely. Avoid like the plague. Would give zero stars if possible

The majestic… just returned from a 2 night stay, our sea view room was stunning. Lovely decor and comfy bed. The new bar area was lovely. All staff were super friendly and looked after us. Will definitely be returning. Happy customer

Beds poor, rooms are bad, need urgent updating and maintenance and cleaning. Manager believes his hotel is ok but far from it. If your in need of sleep and rest go somewhere else.
