Maison de Tet Decor - Cafe in Son Tay, Vietnam
Maison de Tet Decor in Son Tay
Description
so nice with a lot of seating options and a beautiful view of the lake. large range of healthy options with lovely and helpful staff! would recommend. a bit pricey but nice.
MoreIts a tranquil cafe and diner. I used to like the place but the quality of both service and foods arent as stable as with the previous owner...
MoreThe coffee is ground on site and the espresso is pretty good. The shop is arranged in a simple style like a house in Hanoi!
MoreMet friends here for Saturday brunch. Arrived at 11:00 and there was plenty of available seating. The menu has plenty of options for brunch, food as well as beverages.Service is great and the atmosphere is so pleasant and relaxing with a special charm. I had the eggs benedict and a side of toast.Highly recommend.
MoreNice place to have brunch or breakfast.
This restaurant, There is no basic courtesy to customers, perhaps because there are many visitors. Its very unkind. The food is not cooked as described in the menu and uses different ingredients. The owner has to fix it from the basics.Need to do kindness training for serving staff
MoreNot a good place to come, i was so disappointed because the server racist Vietnamese people in our own country. Do not come if you’re not a foreigner or come with foreigner. The drink weren’t good as well and the price are not very resonable.
MoreService, hygiene and food quality massively deteriorated. Head server (manager?repeatedly badmouthed our table in Vietnamese to her staff, presumably assuming we could not understand. While we were there, a gentle delivery man was yelled at and told to park his old bike away from the front of the restaurant and warned not to break their expensive furniture. Food was bland and overcooked. Bathrooms lack clean hand towels. Unfortunate loss of what used to be a positive, vibrant part of the Tay Ho community. Hope this review will help new management to realize the opportunity they have to re-focus on kindness, service and wholesome fresh foods in a clean environment as they once did so well.
MoreA beautiful place into the nature in the hearth of Hanoi. It offers a variety of different dishes and drink. It is nicely to sit in its terrace and watch the lake
MoreReally nice cafe, well decorated and with really well made food. The menu is different to what youd find in Hanoi, but the food is delicious and really well made. Coffee was also delicious. Cannot fault this place, will hopefully be back.
MoreBeautiful decor and delicious food
Even though riding bikes passing the place for years, I never thought of getting in cause of the hot balcony outside... not until one day my hubby asked me to. What a cozy lovely place this is!!!Atmosphere is great, having both outdoor & indoor seats, also air-con 2nd floor - whatever you choose, is fine.Food are delicious, I can’t help coming back the next week for the fruit toast :others’ dishes are also yummy.Definitely a Yes for all day b’fast, chill out weekend in West lake.Another pros is the Quang Ba playground/small park just cross the street, so you can enjoy the coffee whilst having an eye on your kids.
MoreA nice and quiet oasis with great coffee and an extensive menu. I went for the classics; flat white and a salmon eggs Benedict accompanied by the Liver Booster detox juice (beet, carrot, lemon and ginger). All very delicious. Eggs poached to perfection served on potato cakes, I kind of liked this twist to the traditional English muffin. The coffee was good and with a nice touch of late art. Well doneThe please has atmosphere and a relaxed vibe. Despite the city noice in the background you hear bird singing accompanied by the comforting humming of the coffee grinder in the cafe.Prices are very reasonable and you get both a good quality and decent amount of food on your plate.I look forward to coming back soon.
MoreFirst off, I’m a very easy customer and I have never given any bad reviews on any service. But i was so disappointed that i have to share it with everyone. Don’t come if you’re not a foreigner or come with foreigner. The server gave attitude and threw the menu because we have people come in late and order multiple times. I felt absolutely looked down and treated bad. Also the food is not tasty at all for the price we paid. This experience literally ruined my Sunday. Hope noone will get this kind of treatment if you ever tumble in here.
MoreThe food and the presentation were excellent. The best pancakes we’ve had in Vietnam! The macro bowl was good and more filling than we expected. The chicken mint salad was also amazing! Coffee was just ok. Lots of different rooms for seating but our service was fine. We will be going back!iG: @Nikarashaun
MoreThree of us wanted to try out this restaurant so decided to sit in the quiet and shady courtyard. We ordered the Buddha bowls and organic drinks. Our server was efficient and brought us extra condiments when requested. The chocolate drink was rich and satisfying as well as the beet juice and carrot ginger drink. All in all we had a deliciously prepared lunch amid a quiet and peaceful garden type setting. Will be back soon.
MoreGreat food! Prices are expensive but worth it! New location is great too (miss the old location but this one is nice as wellThis visit was in the evening and very relaxing and food was fresh too! Staff friendly and attentive as always; a must go place!Follow @travelingypsey on Instagram & TripAdvisor!
MoreFood is quite nice even they didn’t have what i wanted but they offered another option. Service is not that good and the place itself is far from everything. Probably not the choice for tourists.
MoreFood is decent, but service is the worst of the worst! Not worth the stress! We gave the place another (probably lastchance, ordered things with no dairy as I am lactose intolerant. The same lady we ordered from, brought it out with a big chunk of butter on the bread! We said we can’t eat it and she said take it out, and put it on the side. Wt actual eff!? Then I said, we ordered it without dairy. She gave us attitude and said the same thing about “taking it out and putting on the side ourselves” louder. Oh, and we paid 200k plus for each dish and that kind of service and rudeness. I don’t understand how this place continues to exist.
MoreLovely Menu. Delicious food. Courgette fritters and Zesty Juice - very tasty.
MoreThe quality of food is outstanding, it’s healthy and ethically sourced so the prices are a little higher than many nearby restaurants. Good quality food isn’t often cheap.Finding this place might be tricky, walk as though you’re going to the Intercontinental but continue on passed it with the hotel entrance on your right. Then take the little path to the right with the lake on your right, the restaurant is a few doors up on the left.
MoreNice foods, healthy drinks, great vibes. One of my favorite bistro in Hanoi. Pancakes are amazing for breakfast, bowls are good as well. Staffs are sometimes nice but sometimes not that good (seem like little bit annoyed when their customers order something more), which is the only thing this cafe has to be improved.Yet I think Maison is one of the best cafe in this city. Best wishes for them.
MoreThis gorgeous place is alongside the Intercontinental hotel following a path that leads to the restaurant and was probably our most favourite place to eat breakfast/brunch whilst in Hanoi!! The decor was beautiful and the staff were super helpful and friendly. I had the ricotta passion fruit pancakes which were so good and my family had the vegetarian breakfast and eggs Benedict. The juices and coffee were also great. We sat upstairs and enjoyed the view from inside the balcony and the free wifi. Would highly recommend a visit. x
MoreNot a good place to visit. an exorbitant price for food. Food ingredients dont match.
MoreOverpriced coffee compared to other boutique coffee roasters in the area. For example, a double espresso was double the price of a cafe with better coffee. That aside the double espresso was quality but not worth coming back for at 90,000 (90kdong! 70k was the base espresso price and an added 20k for an extra shot, which is steep overall. Other comparative cafes charge 35k to 45k for a double espresso. Atmosphere wise, it was a cool building but drew a tourist/expat crowd. So if that is what you are looking for, then great. Otherwise, there are other great cafes with quality coffee and a local vibe that are worth exploring and experiencing.
MoreThe prices are steep, but the food at this place is absolutely delicious. The building itself is such a wonderful and stylish location-- tall ceilings, fans, butter yellow walls-- sort of a colonial style, but modernized with its decor. It has a great view of West Lake. The food is fresh and sourced locally/ethically. If youre looking to splurge and have a quality expensive brunch this is the place to do it.
MoreVery good food over looking of the west lake
A piece of haven hidden in the west lake, where locals fish by the lake. This ancien house has a beautiful and quiet terrace where you can enjoy the quietness while drinking coffee and good food.
MoreTheres a review on here saying its geared towards non gluten and vegetarian. Although the menu did give that impression, Im both of those things and would not recommend this place. They had no idea what gluten free was, I was told fritters with wheat flour in were gluten free and given gluten containing bread with my meal (that Id ordered gluten free and wasnt meant to come with bread). Luckily I didnt eat any of it because I spotted the error. The staff were rude, the service was slow. The coffee was OK. Its very secluded and hard to find, not worth the effort. Its also on a lake lined with people fishing so if you are vegetarian you wont enjoy the view.
MoreI would see this place perfect only for coffee time. Coffee is decent here.Food menu is healthy and oriented towards non-gluten & vegetarians.Service is slow and doesnt feel welcoming or cheerful.Although visually the food looks good and uses good ingredients , I cannot tell the same about its taste. All dishes (westernI tried were very bland, dry or tasteless. There was literally not even enough seasoning in salt, not mentioning sauces etc. When you pay a min 500k for 2 people, even in Westlake area, you expect food to be on a different level.
MoreI wish there was more stars to give the restaurants location. Such a romantic place. Ideal for breakfast and lunch or a fancy afternoon tea. Portion is very large so be warned.
MoreThe interior and the view were nice! I like the cold brew coffee here as well. Interesting cafe to spend an afternoon.
MoreA surprise cafe shop with great brunch and also Vietnam fusion food. It’s transformed from hotel so the style is very unique. Coffee is just perfect.
MoreOne of the bear cafes in Hanoi. Coffee is pricy though 70k
Beautiful storied restaurant with rustic feel. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Great for brunch, lunch and dinner and for groups. You can get coffee and vegeterian meal options. Lake view and friendly staff.
MoreJust had a delightful dinner with friends. About half the apps and half the salads. Each dish was great. Fresh, fresh, fresh and delicious ...not as fast as pre-prepared perhaps, and I’m thankful for that. Service was personable, sincere, and just attentive enough. This is my new favorite place.Oh yes, location is great and decor is charming.
MoreA wonderful place to have a good breakfast, brunch or any meal. They offer organic, gluten free and even sugar free products. The coffee is awesome, and the gluten free bread is very advisable and tasty, and you can also enjoy vietnamese and western cuisine. Gluten free dishes are also available. The view of West Lake from the first floor is another attraction of this place.
MoreFantastic in every way! Once we found this place we went every night...efficient pleasant staff, fabulous setting on West Lake and incredibly beautiful interiors over two levelsThe food is just wonderful, with speedy service. The Menu is so well put together!!!
MoreOnly Good atmosphere. Coffee was good. But chair was uncomfortable. Internet was very slow and didn’t work well.
MoreVery tasty food. Got a quick taxi from the markets to this restaurant/cafe. Reasonable prices for the food, which was delicious and the coffee was made extremely well. We shared the smoked salmon and avocado poached eggs. The owner was really helpful with transport advice and seemed like a good guy.
MoreVery nice place for brunch, drink and chill. Love the decor and breakfast sets here
MoreGreat location over looking the lake, super airy old colonial style house, well decored with bangin coffee, good selection to eat inc. veggie & yummy cake. All topped off with friendly service.
MoreThe veggie breakfast was delicious. Nice big portion too. Great range of veggie and non-veggie options. Extensive list of drinks available too. The only Drawbacks are that it was a little expensive and the food was cold when it arrived (it was a cooked breakfast so it should really be hot). Also the staff slightly messed up our order.
MoreMy favorite place for breakfast! Healthy and delicious. Amazing location
Nice view~! Nice quality foods! Everything is wonderful. But, very hot, Not A/C.
Really nice surroundings, very friendly staff and rather nice food. Not the cheapest place to hang out but they do have a great menu.
MoreEasily be my favourite cafe/restaurant in town. Not only because of the lovely lake view, but also the impressive quality of food and service. We have gone back a few times during our visit in Hanoi and bought some coffee beans back to Saigon. Also dont miss out their heathy juice selections!
MoreFantastic coffee, best I had in Vietnam. Great selection of different beans. Breakfast food high quality and very tasty. Nice quiet location overlooking the lake.
MoreFabulous food, great service, inventive menu and wonderful coffee. Everything is cooked to order, so be patient - it may not be served within 5-10 minutes! This is a tradition going back to the original location and it might take a minute to adapt to (how odd, NOT "Fast (unhealthyfood ;- This is a great place to come to , to relax and enjoy your surroundings. No traffic noise, and usually quiet, unless a neighbor is renovating (this is a residential area). If you need something, please ASK. The staff is great appreciating your quiet/privacy, and so NOT intrusive.WONDERFUL market the second Sunday of every month (local artists, designers, shop owners, home grown organic fare, etc.). ALSO, its dog friendly!!!!!!
MoreTheres plenty going on here to recommend this place to most living in and visiting the city. The location is superb right on West Lake a short walk from the Sheraton entrance. The only downside there is that it can be tough for some to find the first time. The address numbering in that neighborhood is generally useless, and they dont have much of a sign. Once youve found it, however, it is very conveniently located. The space it occupies is borderline glorious. Two old villas stitched together into a maze of interconnected rooms. You can enjoy a slightly different vibe on each visit. The decor is creative and tastefully done. You can tell that the details are a real passion for the owners. They roast their own coffee blends on site, and they are very good. Their juice blends are among the best in the city. They grow a lot of their own produce on their farm outside the city and are generally obsessive about hygiene and organic origins. A few dishes come across a touch bland at times, but most are very good. They have the best salads in the city.Really, it should be a regular haunt for most living in the area.
