Maharani Indian Restaurant - Le Pacha 1901 - Indian restaurant in Cairo, Egypt
More expensive than expected for the food offered but in a good quality.
I had a cozy night with friends at Cloud 24, Le Pacha. Food is really good and staff are courteous. Place is is not loud or noisy like other restaurants. It is convenient for a laid back relaxing night to enjoy with with friends. A pit pricy, but worth it.
I only really had one issue. Food was great and staff are also great. However 1500 pounds for 2 drinks and an appetizer was super expensive. I understand location is excellent but the price was shocking for just a couple items. I couldnt imagine how expensive a full dinner would be
Enjoy your legendry memories ☺😄
Probably one of the best dinner restaurants I’ve been in Egypt (so far). From the service to the food everything was simply the best.We wanted to had Indian food, but I happens to be being renewed so we sat at the Asian restaurant and luckily for us, they also offered Indian menu which makes us extra happy. We ended up ordering from both! The only thing we didn’t like was that people where smoking inside the restaurant and because they don’t have windows, it can get quite uncomfortable the smell, but not a deal breaker, since food make it out!
I havent been there for a while. Unfortunately, Le Asiatic has really deteriorated!Whether its the service or the quality of food, it wasnt good at all, its not recommended anymore! We were 8 guests, and we were all except maybe 1 disappointed from the food and the service! Its a pity, it used to be very good, but not anymore...
First of all...the place looks nothing like on the pictures. Very old, dirty and outdated. I just had to beers... I asked for one of the local beers called Stella (not the famous Stella atoisa local Egyptian beer. As they never had the size on the menu, which was 500ml at 60 Egyptian pounds, I was offered a smaller one of 330ml. After 2 beers I got the bill and noticed I had been charged for two large beers plus a mandatory service charge and taxes. I ended up paying a lot more money for sure! This place has seen better days and it shows
Boring old dirty wrick, sold only as a Nile view outlet. Low standards in every way; food quality, service, courtesy, appearance, etc..Prices are stupidly expensive..Cant find anything positive except the view.
Le pacha one of the best Nile boats in zamalek. Carlos resturant serve amazing food and beverages although it is somehow expensive. For late night party Johnnys club is highly recommended .
Great experience. Top service with lovely waiters. The grapes leaves were very delicious. Totally recommend
One of the best Indian restaurants in Cairo!! Must order the shrimp masala, daal and garlic naan.
The restaurant we visited was too hot inside and the waiter didnt want us to stay next to the window.Food is nice but they very slow in taking orders.
Highly recommend, food was fresh and place well organized clean, staff very polite, service very fast, we celebrate our friend’s birthday they provide us the birthday song, we really appreciate.thank you for your great service
Excellent fine dining in one of the best restaurants on the river Nile
Food quality was excellent and alot of options, It is on the expensive side though. The staff was extremely friendly, tentative and helpful. The nile view was amazing. My only take on the place is that the decoration was a little outdated
Nice atmosphere. Good food. Very loaf music.
Despite the fact that the owners are experts in the fields of clubs, they do have some weak points. We didn’t want to be harsh and give it 3 stars, so we give this place 4 stars.1. The food - was good. Although we had very limited items for the amount that we paid.2. Service - EXCELLENT-3. Atmosphere - high percentage of very young crowds. If you are older than late 30’s, this may not be your scene. As these young crowds have no respect to no one. For example when the belly dancer came on - they ran from their places throughout the club and rushed the stage. They all were holding up their phones obstructing the scene. We had to watch the belly dancer from their screens as we could not see anything. Management did not interfere. Literally all of the young crowd stands by the stage and you are not able to see anything. They were bumping into us and our table with no respect to us at all.4. DJs - good collection of music with a wide variety of genres. But they need to let the songs play a little bit longer so we can enjoy the songs more. Overall they were good and are better than most places. Thanks to George - we wish you the best of luck with your endeavor.
Great place for local food.. they managed to get also some amazing vegetarian items..
Must visit when in cairo, excellent oriental food and breathtaking views of the Nile
The place has a good Shisha but the weiters are little grampy , but they cheated with the bill charging us double price on one of the meals, ( the extra was 500 egp.As they have minumem charge of 400 egp Definatly not coming back
Le pacha Is always the gourmet food one of the favorite places that we go to deserve the drive one of the bus in Egypt I always recommend to go there I love the atmosphere I love you service love you managers
Very nice place I enjoyed my time, however I faced one problem the dust and fliesIm aware it is an open place on the Nile so no way to control these things but still. The food was great and excellent service❤️
Food is great, view is greaterDessert can be better. But Its good too.
We had Dinnet at the asiatique restaurant. It was like diving i to a fairytale of Pooirots Criminal stories - the atmosphere. The Sushi Dining and the spring rolls delighted our evening and we will be there again.
loved the view and the food not to mention the place
Was really nice. Has an amazing Nile view. I went to meet two of my friends that came from Japan for a vacation in Egypt and they liked it a lot. The food was also great.
I have been a customer for more than 20 years. It used to be one of the best Japanese restaurants for me, it used to be. And I haven’t been there since 15 years ago, when I came back to Cairo after 15 years I went and I ate there. The restaurant still hasn’t changed one bit, same decor, even some of the employees are still there. Overall the ship is still the same, it’s very old now. And the food’s taste still similar to what it used to be but the quality has fallen down a bit, but it seems that they are still stuck in time. I used to have very beautiful memories in this restaurant.
Many luxurious restaurants in one place ... I enjoyed delicious Italian food in the Italian restaurant.
Usually have an amazing experience here... Food and service at the steak house is brilliant.. Always a go to for me...This time decided to try Carlos instead and wish I hadnt...Despite food and service at steak house being great, Décor and furniture really need some updating been coming here for over 20 years and they are still the same... Music selection also needs some work.
Multiple restaurants in one place on a boat on Nile seating virtually below the waterline is unique experience. We had Indian food which we found quite authentic. Other cuisine must be of the same standard. The bar and restaurant on the upper deck which is partially open to sky was interesting having a stage for live performance
I tried Le Steak : Excellent service and beautiful close view of the river ! They have a minimum charge of LE300. Food is good but not exceptional!
A number of different restaurants on this Nile Boat dining area. Italian. Egyptian, French and Asian on the menu. It is pricey but plenty of tasty options. We wanted the Indian but it has closed down, so we dined in the Asian this time. The only thing I really dislike in Egyptian restaurant dining options when indoors is smoking. There is no separation between smokers and nonsmokers so inadvertently one will always have an amount of secondary cigarette smoke to go with the food. There needs to be a better air extraction above tables if smoking is allowed indoors.Apart from that, people are wearing masks and sanitizer is available on request.
Visited the Asiatic restaurant. Fantastic food, perfect taste, friendly staff. 5 stars
very good experience... nice and quiet place... variety of choices....welcoming staff especially Mr. Samuel and Mr. George
Once upon a time, a distinguished and aging Pacha from Upper Egypt had a dream. He longed to build himself a floating palace on the Nile to live out his last days. The Pacha collected treasures and masterpieces to adorn his palace and by 1887, he had prepared his designs and began to build his dream. In 1901, the Pacha passed away without having fulfilled his dream, and left his estate to two daughters. The daughters chose to live in their Cairo mansion and abandoned the unfinished boat in Upper Egypt.Nearly a full century later, a traveler exploring the banks of the Nile, came upon the abandoned and partially sunken boat. This person fell in love with the majesty and luxury he could still envision through the mud and dust. And so he went to work looking for the owners of the wreck and the original designs. He acquired it, refurbished it, added two more decks and named the reborn boat: “Le Pacha 1901”. The old Pacha’s bedroom was at the prow, where “Le Tarbouche” is found today…
Great 3 or 4 restaurants. Ate here a few times always good
There are several restaurants in the Pacha and all excellent. We went for Egyptian food to La Tarbouche and had mezza primarily. All delicious, delicate. You are on the Nile so the views are exceptional. Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful Indian restaurant with fantatsic food. Located on the Nile in the permanently moored Le Pacha boat. Great vegetarian/vegan choices and high spice level if desired. Service is excellent and a good experience all around.
Nice delicious Egyptian food from Tarboush restaurant , the price are little expensive, I have added the menu pics if you like to check...thanks
Spent New Year’s Eve at the Italien Restaurant. Very nice atmosphere, the view of the Nile is breathtaking. There was a guitar player, the music was enjoyable. The place was cozy and Romantic. Food was excellent
Reception:The receptionists were so rude. It took me 4 hours to check in. At first they denied my booking, then they found it after the lunch time, so I missed the lunch. After I received my room key they kept me waiting for the bellman, he was so late and I decided to go to the room on my own.But there was another obstacle, the housekeeper was locking the room out with chain and asked me whether or not it was my room. I answered "yes", then he smiled and left. The room was still locked and I had to go back to the reception.Cleanness:The towels had brown stains and the bed sheets smelled like insect repellent. There was a foul smell of sewer on the way to the beach.Management:The manager came at the restaurant to tell the waiter off with a loud noticeable voice. When a German man tried to speak to him in German, he told the German man off as well and said in English " I am neither speaking your language nor speaking to you"Food:The taste was ok but you have to beg the chef for another peace of a grilled fish/chicken as he only gives 2 and there was a lack of variety.Value for money:I paid the same price in another 5 *hotel in Marsa Allam in February 2019 and the service was superb.Safety:The room door hurt my finger as it is designed in a stupid way that you needs to pull the handle with the tip of your hand. Otherwise, you would hurt your index finger.Beach:The beach was full of rocks that you need a sea shoes. In addition to this, it is so small.
There is a selection of restaurant choices here. The Italian (Carloshad a dress policy posted on their door "no shorts, and collared shirt a must". We chose the Egyptian restaurant Le Tarbouche. The food is reasonable with plenty of choices, beautiful elaborate decor, and the views of the Nile help the ambiance. We tried the oxtail soup which I didnt necessarily like. The mains were better, albeit the mixed grill couldve done with some sauce or mustard on the side, otherwise the meat is dry.
The only advice I can give is stay away at all cost. The place have a good views but that is it. Food is mediocre & service is as bad as it gets. When I went there they were busy arranging tables for some event & they werent ready to receive us despite having made a reservation. The tables turned out to be a wobbly plywood top that was dancing to the touch (picture below)Their Idea of "Steak de Paris" is a rubbery piece of meat with butter on top 😯Other dishes where simply tasteless. This is definitely the worst restaurant experience I had in Cairo if not ever, clearly the chief & staff are just amateurs who charge premium for a service that they know nothing of, shame that such place exists.
Its one of the famous Indian restaurant in Egypt. It is situated on the lower deck of the boat called La Pacha which has many restaurants under its wing in the same place. Service was to the point and the food was delicious. Ambience and music at this place were very soothing..
Had Iftar at Carlo’s and the food was not that good. Average quality and small quantities. I only enjoyed their tomeyah and freshly baked bread. I didn’t like their spaghetti, spring rolls, fattoush or even the molokheyah. The desserts was not that bad but was also average. My meat-eater co-workers didn’t also like the mix grill as it was cold and a bit hard, so the waiter had change them all.The view is nice, but the place is really noisy. But it is good for family gatherings and casual dinners with your coworkers.
Amazing food with great view over the Nile and excellent service. The ambience is good. I recommend this restaurant if you want a good traditional Egyptian food.
Piccolo Mondo has a calm, cosy atmosphere. Pasta was good, and the taste of quality cheese was felt. Veal liver is cooked with care and was just perfect. Happy time!
There are 9 type of restaurant in this place. We choose the Asian food L’Asiatique. The appetizer was good but everything else is too salty. There are no Nile view inside the L’Asiatique. Staff service was good
Lovely lovely food… from Hummous and Baba Ganouj to the liver and kidney with rice to the amazing koftas and chops and the dessert was just scrumptious!Ate so much had to loosen the belt two notches!
We were 15 in the Italian restaurant had amazing well cooked authentic Italian . All dishes were well cooked.. The profotrol is not to be missed... Amazing view of course! A place to go to again and again..
