Magnetic Hill Winery in Moncton

I had a great time at the winery. The lady who greeted us in the tasting room was very friendly and fun! She recommend some great selections. The OC By the Sea was my favourite. Really enjoyed that nice pinot. The fun and fruity were not my favourite as it kind of reminded me of Fruitopia, maybe better for people who like the sweeter side of wine. The view was marvellous, and you get lots of selection for a great price. Did not do the tasting tour.

Has a tasting today with friends. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. Th wine was OK...not great but not poor either.

My wife and I had a really great experience here, we came for her birthday to taste some local wines and enjoy the atmosphere of the entire grounds. We enjoyed a wine tasting with a very informative waitress who we later found out was the owners sister. After some time talking with everyone and drinking some wine, we realized what a great establishment that has been built by a lovely family whose clearly passionate about their product and the land that produces their fruits for a variate of wines they create and sell in house.

The service was fine, but unfortunately, the wines were not very good. It was the worst wine tasting weve had. Maybe it just wasnt to our taste.

By far, one of the most beautiful wineries around! Zach made a most memoriable experience for us! (a family of 7great hospitality and such a wondeful experience overall! The red wines were delicious! This east coast winery delivers a unique and fresh take on the standard red wine trail, leading its own path!

The overly All atmosphere was great, it was my first time at this place. We had a reso for 6pm, when we arrived there were maybe 5 other tables, but only two staff members. (That were noticeablestraight up we ordered two charcuterie boards, and later the waitress came back to take our drink orders, in total it took 45 mins to plate 2 boards and wine. After we started to enjoy the wine and food, we were not once approached to see if things are okay, or if we had any questions. When we finished our drinks, no one came and asked if we wanted more, one of our guests had to ask the worker if we could order more and they’re reply was “you want more drinks” ?Again, short staffed, overall experience was a 3/5 the drinks were great and great atmosphere .

Visited last evening for an after-dinner glass of vino & spent 90 minutes on the newly constructed outside patio, which offers a stunning view of the Moncton city skyline...the amazing sunset, the knowledgable & friendly server (Morgan, you rock!& the added bonus of a sit-down with the charismatic young vintner Zach, all added to a totally enjoyable experience...so enjoyable in fact that we had 2 glasses! (highly recommend the Mystique). Anyone looking for a unque location for imbibing this summer, head on out to Magntic Hill Winery ...theyre open until 10pm. You wont be disappointed.

My husband and I made reservations to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Magnetic Hill Winery. Unfortunately, our experience was not what we expected. The wines were very good, the view is breathtaking, but the service we received was a total disappointment. The lady who served us was rude and indifferent. We are always kind and respectful to the people in the service industry and her attitude was just unacceptable, considering the place and the kind of vibe the winery wants to deliver. We wanted to buy several bottles after trying our wines but we just ended up wanting to leave and thats it. I wont repeat the story, my husband just gave his own review below. The only thing I want to say is that I hope we were just unlucky and this is not the way they generally treat customers. If we ever come back to Moncton, we wont visit this place again. Such an easy way to lose customers who are wine lovers...

I read the reviews here and the only thing I can think off is that we were unlucky and we got someone new and not in a good mood... Barely were welcomed when we came in and were moved to a table. Absolutely no explanations about anything and the person looked even frustrated to have to walk to our table. The charcuterie board is a joke... I wouldnt have said much if at the least it was explained. We dont know which cheese or anything we ate were. When it came there wasnt any meet on it so we asked if it came with meat and the person did say yes and that shell bring it. She came with a small little bowl with one and a half slice of a salami.... One and a half slice! The rest of the board was 3 stick like cheeses that were fine some salted almonds with tons of skin peices as she probably just empty the rest of a jar in the plate and some crackers. She just put it on the table without any explanation and literally ran away almost. The wines were good but without any explanations we did our best with the menu description. At the end we asked for a bottle of water and she got it to us without any glasses. We had already used our glasses for 4 wines each... A fresh glass isnt too much asked. We did ask for new glasses as pleasing as we could to not pass a judgemental and she came and almost threw them on the table and took the other without saying a single word. Im giving two stars for the view and the other lady who were helping other tables looked fantastic and she checked us out and that was the actual best experience we had in all our visit... You can. Go there if you want to drink some wine and watch the view!

Wine selection was good. Good service and nice atmosphere. Have sitting areas outside as well. Probably going back in the future.

Beautiful place with an amazing location. Get the flight and try a few at the time, the setup for the flights are lovely. If youre going in the evening, pants and bug spray is recommended. I absolutely loved the maple wine!

We reserved a time on Tuesday to celebrate my birthday. Although it allowed me to reserve, it said they were closed that day however because they said it was an error on their end they would be open and prepared for us to come! Staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating; super knowledgeable about the wines and helped with recommendations. We got 2 flights of wine tasters and the charcuterie was delicious as well. Ended up leaving with 3 take home bottles and a great experience during our travels to Moncton. Would highly recommend!

Had my first visit to the magnetic hill winery. I am from Winnipeg Manitoba and was visiting my sister who has been living in Moncton for a month now. This was a place we had on our list to visit ever since my sister moved here. We had heard of this winery in winnipeg as a place you must visit when in Moncton. Let me tell you, you must visit this winery if you are in Moncton. We came to taste a few wines and enjoy some charcuterie. We definitely will be back in the summer to get a tour and tasting in. Staff were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and owners were extremely welcoming. There was a great variety of wines and all that we tasted were amazing ! We especially loved the sparkling rose. Prices were very reasonable !Since the winery is located near the top of the magnetic hill, the view from the patio was incredible which overlooked the Vineyard and Moncton.Thank you maverick hill for a remarkable experience !

Such a beautiful experience and must see destination in Moncton. Love the new holiday wine tasting paired with charcuterie board, that we shared with friends this evening. The ambiance, the outdoor firepit, the service, the wine, and that view of the city. Just, WOW!

Came to make a winter wreath with Kaitlyn Blackburn of Two Blooms and enjoyed the wine and charcuterie while I built my wreath. Loved the setting and the ambiance! I would suggest this place for anyone who likes wine and learning a new skill!

A very nice spot for a fancy date. The view was wonderful and they have the cutest indoor covered bridge in their upstairs. Lots of wines to choose from for a flight. The charcuterie plate was small but very good!

What a lovely way to spend the afternoon with family and friends. And to find some new favorite wines and meads! Great atmosphere and service, the charcuterie boards were very good, lots of variety of fresh fruits and cheeses along with a variety of crackers. Highly recommend. First time there and will definitely go back.

On Sunday october 4, I brought my staff for a fun , relaxing time at the winery. We had wine and cheese on one of their deck that has an unobstructed amazing view of the city. Couldnt have picked a better day and a better venue. Cheese is well paired with your wine. No rush, no stress. Just a wonderful experience. Second Editions staff will be back. Thank you ❤

My friends and I had a lovely time! We booked the bachelorette tour and tasting. Our guide, Shannon, was great! She shared stories about the property and the wine process that were informative but not overwhelming. She answered all of our questions (even the ones about the dog...).We tried 5 wines on our tour and I gladly would have taken them all home for more. Every staff member we interacted with was so knowledgeable and friendly and welcoming.

Beautiful winery and group of people running it. My all time favorite fruit wine is their Bay of Fundy Blueberry but also in love with their cranberry wines.

What a great location to do something different. Theres some great history tied into the location and the evolution of the winery to what it is today. Theres also a large expansion underway that looks fabulous. The tours are on pause for now, but we really enjoyed the wine flights being offered and opted into the picnic as well to sample some cheese and fruit. We of course had to buy some prize winning wines on the way out. We also tried some great maple fudge-wow!

We came up to visit the store and collect some products. They do wine samples for you if you havent tried all the different wines, available which is just awesome. The lady thats usually there is so knowledgeable and has so much information on the history of the winery. Its so intriguing to listen to. Theres also a BnB here, as well as a wedding location and they offer tours as well through the summer. All in all the Mag hill Winery is quite an exceptional place!

Booked a 20 person tour as a social work outing. Fantastic tour with even better wines. Tour was $15 per person and included samples of 6 wines, then a glass of your favorite followed by a platter of cheeses, crackers and fruits. The 2 hours spent there were great and we will definitely return.

We stayed in the bed and breakfast at the winery and could have asked for a better experience! Beautiful winery and area, seriously some of the best wines weve had all trip and ran by two incredible people! Dont skip this place!

This is a fantastic winery! We visit from the United States whenever we are traveling to Nova Scotia. Some of the best fruit wines and a couple of amazing traditional wines. Come stop by and have a taste.

Didnt get get to taste certain wines and we paid for a tour with bottle of wine and cheese. We got 3 small glasses and N0 bottle so we missed out on almost HALF a bottle of wine. Very disappointed. How ever the tour guide was knowledgeable.

The owner, Zak, have us a personal tour with wine tasting along the way. Delicious wines and lots of information from a man who obviously had a great passion for what he does. Well worth a visit.

First time staying at a B&B very beautiful! Loved the personal touch and the extensive work done to restore an older home to its former beauty! Our room was rustic and very clean. The breakfast was delicious and Janet and Jeff were very hospitable. The wine was delicious and we came home with a case:)

We randomly came across this winery while driving out of Moncton. Such a beautiful spot. The staff was warm and accommodating. And the wine was even better! We were surprised how good their rhubarb wine was. I was saddened when I read Deborah Wynters review. She had wrote that she had a bad experience because she felt she was judged based on the colour of her skin. But my girlfriend is black & we had a wonderful experience. I hope this wasnt the same person she was referring to because that lady was excellent. I only hope that staff member doesnt make any judgements based on skin colour or at least treats everyone respectfully no matter where they are from. I hope this doesnt discourage anybody. Make a stop if you can!! Thanks again!!!!

Wonderful & interesting wines plus a beautiful view. We had a very enjoyable experience. I really liked the story about the history of the building and the winery. The tasting approach was very effective. We bought a mix case. Would definitely recommend checking out this winery if youre in the area.

A local gem with a terrific view, Bed and Breakfast, and fantastic wines from locally sourced strawberry, raspberry, rhubarb, grapes, blueberry, cranberry, apple, pear and maple. They also have a free tasting hosted by a friendly informative staff member that will talk about their history and quality products. If you enjoy a quality healthier wine at a reasonable price this is the perfect destination.

We took part in the picnic wine experience. Our guide who ran the testing was very charismatic, friendly and informative. The house/winery is very beautiful and the view was gorgeous. The value of experience was amazing and would definitely visit again

While the wine was tasty the service was definitely not. If you are of the black race then be prepared to be treated like a second class citizen. It will be subtle but you will definitely know and feel it. In our experience, everybody else was attended to quickly, while we were left unattended and made to wait as they attended to others(the important peopleeven though we were there before those that they rushed to serve. When we complained we were told that we were too indecisive hence the reason others were tended to first. However, I say isnt that one of the point to a wine tasting and if your customers get indecisive, there surly are other ways to handle the situation rather than punishing them! Good customer service reps always finish with the first customer before moving on to the next.Here is an example of one of our incident -After our wine tasting (which I must admit was pleasant and informativewe made it clear we wanted to purchase two bottles. We step aside to decide on the flavour we wanted, it took us approximately 2 min to decide. By the time we were ready to cash the rep started another wine session with a nice white couple. The rep then completely ignored us and we were left there waiting it would have been nice if she showed us some courtesy by acknowledging us. The rep could have used any one of these phrases (I will be with you shortly; or I am just going to quickly cash this customer I will be right back to continue your wine tastingpretty simple right? Wrong! it was the nice customers who instead notice the atrocity of it all and pointed out to the rep. that it was ok for her to cash us as they have no problem waiting due to the fact that they came in after. Note the wine tasting session is approx. 20min. And that was only one incident!!!!!
