One of our favourite pit-stops in Funchal

Nice cafe and gardens on promenade path.

Such friendly service and such nice ocean views on a quiet promenade away from all car traffic.

Nice little place next to the Pestana Grand. Good quality lunch type food and good value.

Very nice place to stop for a drink. The view is lovely

Just went for coffee. Great location. Pleasant spot.

Great place to stop on the walk between The lido and the Grand especially if on way further. Believe it is Pestana owned and run well. The Magic Garden is accessed from the cafe.

Stopped drinking till I came here. Passed by a few times. Gave in and hit it for a coffee. Think the server hates people. Was only him serving. After an hour of him I needed a stiff double. Nice position, took a photo of a tree. Had 6 stiff gins.

The name may be a bit confusing because the dishes and drinks other than tea are delicious here. Just like the friendly and professional service. A great stopping point while walking along the promenade. This is one of the places you definitely want to come back to if you will come here again.

No "magic" here and it is not a tea house. Well above average prices for the area and below average drinks and food. There is nothing to justify the higher prices - no special creativity, freshness or skill. The tea is low quality so it should not call itself a tea house. Service is fine but just that. You can walk up the road and get a better coffee, a smile, and not be ripped off. It is attached to a beautiful garden and near a promenade by the sea. Its a pity that such a mediocre "tea house" takes up space in this pretty location.

Great cafe along the promenade. Fruit smoothie were lovely and refreshing.Recommend having the afternoon tea. Considerably cheaper than the main hotels however very generous potions. You only need to order 1 afternoon tea for 2 people as it comes with 2 sets of sandwiches, 6 cakes, scones and a pot of tea.

Lovely little place to have a drink after a stroll in the sun. Service prompt and courteous and was remembered on return visits.

Average food, average service, average tea. They do have a variety of tea on the menu but half was not available and its not served correctly and it doesnt taste any special. Dont come here if you want a special tea experience. The outdoor seating area is very nice and they have sofa chairs and couches inside. The ocean is hiding here for the most part behind Madeiras greenery. I come here to watch the huge butterflies during lunch break.

A great little quiet place to refresh/ hydrate oneself on a walk to Tunel Das Poca Do Gomas which was closed due to safety reasons?!?! Good menu quick service (not like ANNE W reviewwe had a lass.General comment. smoking laws are very to UK laws. Don’t pick a table down wind of a smoking table !!!!

Nice place to take a pause when walking along the seafront promenade between our hotel and the rock pools. Belongs to a big hotel. No complaints but nothing special.

Lovely well positioned little cafe completely let down by the most ignorant surly waiter Ive come across for a long time. He couldnt even say thank you when taking the money for the bill.

Stopped here 3 times on the way back from a local beach, good food, fair prices and pleasant staff.

Decent steak sandwich but unfortunately lacking rest of menu, prices ok, service great and beer ok. Best visited around 3pm for an adult beer order chldrens ice cream. Good choice for late lunch if youre staying nearby.

Lovely resting spot with access to beautiful gardens to the rear. Access through the coffee shop - not to be missed.
