Maese Pío Arrocería - Andalusian restaurant in Granada, Spain
Nice folks
Nice rice it was. İ ate it with vegetables. Although İ didnt like spanish food very much İ liked it
Paella here was unreal! Prices are very reasonable and in a lovely quiet little square
They were super welcoming with us! Had a really nice time and the paella was really good!
Horribly oversalted paella and stewed rice. Hope the chef was just having a bad day. Everything else was good though.
I went to Maese Pío with a large group. The food and service were both excellent! This is a perfect place for authentic paella with more of a local feel. Within our group, we tried 3 different kinds of paella and the croquettes. Would recommend to anyone!
Honestly really good paella. We had the rabbit and monkfish one and definitely one of the best from our trip!
Not recomanded at all !!! We all got poisened, very sick and suffered two days. We wasted lots of money and the joy of our trip to Granada. The service was rude and slow and the glasses was dirty. Never again !!!
Amazing paella, very big portion! Meat in mushroom sauce also very good.
First experience of the restaurant was fantastic, rice cooked to perfection, Paella sticky on the second serving, service attentive, a relaxed ambient and we recommended it to friends. Unfortunately the second visit didnt live up to the first. The music playing was like a night club, the Paella was under cooked, 4 of the six clams were unopened and when we pointed out to the waitress the dish should have been cooked longer she replied, she didnt know. I got the impression perhaps senior management were missing that day. We will return and i hope this is constructive for the owner. Great potential
A++++
Terrible place. A tourist trap that will charge you 40 euros for 2 plates of dry rice with almost no seafood. A complete scam, don’t go there.
The best paella in Granada, excellent quality and a unique expérience and service. Don,t miss it!
Sweetest people serving so much variety! Not for the food snobs but a perfect place for a gathering for a night in one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever visited.
Tourist trap downtown Granada. They will overcharge your bill (watch out your bill because they charge expeses without you noticingand rip you off. Quality of the food is average but at a high price The service is slow, it took nearly 40 minutes to have our meal since we ordered it. You should definetely avoid this place.
Amazing paella! I was there with a big group (about a dozen people), and they were super accommodating. Even treated us to free shots at the end! Service and food were incredible, prices were reasonable 100% recommend.
Fenomenal food. Worth every penny. Service very good. Just the Paella we were looking for.
Delicious food and great attention to detail, from beginning to end. We loved the opening tapas of warm bread, local olive oil and olives. We ordered the seafood paella and were super impressed. All in all we are so glad we came here.
Loved this place! The olives were exquisite, bread fresh and warm, olive oil from the region and the paella was delightful.
Tasty paella! Lots of different rice options.
Very good paella!
Nice relaxed part of town. Paella slightly on salty side but still an enjoyable meal. very generous serving sizes
Best place to have Paella in Granada. Generous portions - one Paella is good for 3 people. We tried their veg Paella & it was delicious. Service was great & good value for money. The staff speaks little English but are a happy and helpful bunch.Their carrot cake is a must try, warm & homely.
Paella was on the salty side
The rice cooked with pork cheek was delicious. The service was good and very friendly, with an obvious pride in local produce.
Just perfect. We had fritura de verano and caldereta de rape y gambas. Profiteroles as desert. It’s a must, better come midday. Lovely terrace. 45 euro 3 people.
Extremely liberal with use of salt. Rice is very salty. Eggs with mushrooms are also salty.
Outstanding waitstaff and the arroces were delicious! Stray from the touristy avenues and get to this gem.
This place is a 3.5 stars but gave them 4 because...The location and the ambiance are pretty good and that part deserves a 4 stars. My waitress was very nice and patiente even if the place was busy and that is a 5 stars. The food is good but definitely not a 4 stars but rather a 3.5. I got the shrimp/salmon with asparagus and it was larger than I anticipated and the taste was good. Then I got the paella and it was too salty for my taste but I think it was a 3.5/4 for people that dont mind salt. But the size was good too. A group of young kids wanted to enjoy theirs.Didnt try the desert this time.
Cozy place with nice staff and great paella. I loved it!
We were actually looking for another restaurant with good rank, but unfortunately that one was closed due to public holiday. My companies felt tired and picked this one randomly. That was a wrong choice. The black squid seafood rice was salty and doesnt taste good. The grilled shimp were not well cooked. Three of us all agreed to give this restaurant 2 star, and truly not recommended. Change the star from 2 to 1 finally because this restaurant charge 1.2euro per person for service fee, and they dont have any service at all!!!
Superb delicious lovely tapas
If you want to taste the paella and a lot of varieties of spanish rices, is probably the best restaurant in Granada. Good treatment from professional people.
The AC Marriott front desk recommended this place to us and they didnt steer us wrong. Its off a little alleyway along the Gran Via and the seating is indoor and outdoor. Although everyone is outdoor and there are tables from two other places. The table olives and bread are STUPID GOOD!! Wine from Granada is smooth and luscious. The customer service is impeccable and the food is excellent. All the food is fabulous; all the rice dishes are made for two and they mean it!! They do have boxes to take food home though. Not pricey-- very competitively priced. My risotto was 10,90€, for instance
A very great service!
Nice restaurant, nice decoration.
