Made In Sud Pizzeria in Nice

Uninterested and slow service

No longer the place with one of the best pizzas in Nice: tomatoes does not taste like those from Vesuvio (though claimed to be so), viscous dough, chewy plastic mozzarella :( Disappointed. Not friendly staff: no-one even said Hi. Pizza maker was the only one giving us smile! We got a table outside and it was terrible! People next to our table were smoking non-stop.. For non-smokers it was a real torture. Lots of other people just staying next to you and waiting for the pizza to go. So, not cozy at all. Bathroom was not clean and flush not working :( To sum up: Never back again

This restaurant came highly recommended by someone who spent some time living in Nice and it did not disappoint! I got the made in sud pizza and it was AMAZING. The price point was decent for the size of the pizza that you get, even though i tried to force myself i couldnt finish. My friend had dietary restriction and they were totally cool about it, and even without the cheese on it my friend said it was one kf the best pizzas shes ever had. 10 out 10 would reccommend!

I was quitly waiting for the shop to open because they open at 18.30. It started to rain so the shelter of the terras was welcome. A lady came to me and said that I couldnt wait here. 18.20 at this point, I said wanted to eat here aswell. She said to me no you cannot wait. Packed up my things and I left. I dont know of that is normal in France but not to me anyways. I ate somehere else.

Horrible place with horrible service. Do not recommend. Found hair in our food and had stomach ache after eating here. Do not recommend at all

We were here last year and today. As for last year, the place was great and today we have come from the far to eat here. We booked a table for four people. Two of my friends wanted to eat pasta and we wanted to eat pizza. We were told there is no cook and there is no pasta so my friends decided to get a dessert and coffee instead while we can eat our pizzas. The waitress came to get the order and she said she won’t serve our table because all of our four should eat pizza, and if not, then we should go. After coming hungry from the far we were very disappointed as such situation should not happen at all. Very disrespectful as all of us would order stuff from their menu and make them earn. Now we are staying whole week and never coming to Made in Sud again. Sad!

They didnt let me have dinner at 22:00 when it is supposed to close at 23:00

Nothing special. The wine and beer were good. The food not so. Although I ordered Lambrusco, they didn’t even ask me red or white wine, but I forgot to specify. Brought red. Ordered also cheese plate, was ok. Had also pizza, that wasn’t tasty. For those who tried good Italian pizza, this pizza is a disaster. It’s not Italian taste at all. A lot of dough, minimum filling. Also didn’t bring water, although I saw on another tables there was still water that they usually serve for free in Nice.

As a devoted pizza eating family, we strongly recommend dining here. Weve had pizza all over Europe and agree with the others that this was the best from our experience. You must go!

Pizzas are great although youll be lucky to get a table outside on a warm evening without booking ahead.

You are as good here as being in a FANTASTIC restaurant in Italy.Hands down, the best and most delicious real Italian pizzas in Nice.

Great pizza from Napoli

This is the best pizza you can eat on the French Riviera!Locations is ideal as a few steps from busy port area and near city centre of Nice. The place is not too big, but with a very nice ambience. I wanted to have a real Neapolitan pizza, and finally I found it. Tasty, soft, juicy, generous size, with real mozzarella! Price is very fair, considering the size and it’s just same price of a “commercial pizza”… It made me really feel in Naples. So, for me, the best pizza on Cote d’Azur!Also try the other specialities, all traditionally cooked receipts, here the food is a serious matter.------------------Guagliù, erano anni che cercavo una pizza così fuori dall’italia, già solo à muzzarell’... E poi i proprietari sono genitilissimi. Amazing pizzas!!! We had the made in Sud (absolutely gorgeous)and díavola (deliciousplus Biancaneve for our little oñ(she loved itall astonishing!!!! All the pizzas were great, we’re into trying local traditional food wherever we go on holiday… but it’s worth the sidetrack!!! Probably the best pizza I had!

I went this Place on the Summer and I arrived alone asking If I could eat! Than Ladie um the Cashier Said : Ok" with arrogance! I asked If I could eat something from the Menu and the Guy served me Said : No O could not eat only Pizza! While I was waiting for my Husband, I asked If I could order the Pizza! The Same Garçom ( Young GuySaid I could not even perder Pizza If my Husband Will not order too! I never Saw such Racist Place ever in my Whole Life!!

Absolutely delicious pizzas. I had the truffle pizza which was great. My wife’s anchovies pizza was a tad bit salty. They just need to train their waiter on the menu and ingredients. This would be one of my favourite pizzerias in Nice.

That’s it’s charm!:so keep positive and enjoy the food.Definitely make space for desert; it’s worth it.

Excellent pizza with home made tomato sauce and freshest ingredients. Hard to describe, tried all the specialties, not a single failure so far. Been their clients since the opening of the first smaller place up on boulevard Stalingrad.

Authentic food, family run place, one of the best meals Ive had in Nice. If you are used to small portions in eateries, this is not one of them. 2 people can share one pizza or dish easily.

The service was the worst i,ve ever experienced. The staffs were not professional. They were rude..horrible. even though i stayed at there more than 2 hours, i was not able to have a water.

Amazing Pizza - Horrible service!After leaving one star on TripAdvisor, saying “the taste and quality of the pizza are amazing. The staff is unprofessional, slow, unorganized, irritant” I came back to the pizzeria to take away. They recognized me, they REFUSED to serve me, they verbally ATTACKED me and when I left they shout at me in the street.This confirms my original comment: they are really UNPROFESSIONAL!

Great pizza - we have eaten there which is nice in the summer and we often pick up (and dont mind driving to get there). Great pizza at a reasonable price and friendly staff. Does not sound too difficult but they do it really well!!

Fantastic Napolitan pizza with chances of getting vegetables from the local garden if the season is right. Not the coziest place to eat in at (but also not badbut they’ll helpfully slice your pizza if you want to take it down to the docks and eat it in the sunset.

The best pizza Ive ever tried so far! So fresh and delicious that you cannot imagine that it can exists in this french city with cheap price! I think I cannot eat any other pizza in other places for a while or else I cannot feel good to face my stomach... Staff are so nice and warm and passionate Italiens. A GEM of a pizza place in a sea of many mediocre ones in Nice. This place is owned by a family from Naples, Italy who are very welcoming. When I came by myself to order a pizza to go, they insisted I stay and eat it there because it would be better fresh. They were super friendly and let me try some wine and even offered me a slice while I waited. Ill definitely be back.

Maybe one of the best pizzas ive ever had! If you want to have Pizza like in Napoli in Nice, you really should step by. The dough and the crust is soft, but very crispy, the tomato sauce is juicy and the cheese is like really fresh.The staff and the owners are very friendly and their limoncello is just amazing! I can only highly recommend it.
