Machakos Peoples Park in Mwingi

The place is slightly neglected but with great potential. A cool place to go with family over the weekend.

Had an amazing time with the kids and one good staff by the name Wachira by the bouncy castle so good with the kids.

Located on the outskirts of Machakos (Masakutown, near the official residence of the governor of Machakos county, has amenities such as restaurants, pubs, park, children amusement facilities and is free to enter

My first visit gave me a feeling of serene environment. On the second visit, I saw like the park is not well managed. The green grass turning dry. Something need to be done.

They could add more tukuls for sitting, open a nice restaurant and do proper landscaping otherwise the place is moderately good if you want to idle an after away.

The rides are priced fairly, can do better in food quality...and the park needs to be watered otherwise everything is dying...but this is the perfect place for families and kids

The place is good for a family get a way. There is a lot of attractions for the kids and a good relaxing ambience for adults. There are 2 restaurants,one none alcoholic and the second with a bar. The food is affordable but the portions are small. Very good views. Carry your own tissue because the toilets have no tissue or running water. Entrance is free.They have bicycles for hire, zip lining, merry go round a and remote cars for kids.

A great way to spend a day with the family.This park consists of a wide variety of activities like Zip lining, boat rides, archery, a maze, quad bike rides for kids, horse ride etcIt caters to the needs of every age group. The prices of rides are very affordable.Suggest the property can be maintained a bit more in order to attract the tourists and drastically improve the toilet facilities as it was horrible with no water!A special mention to the Archery guy who was very polite, kind and patient with us while explaining how to take a shot.Overall a good experience.

I really enjoyed it, very cool, good welcomed and very well setup. Only needed keep the cleanliness and watering the flowers. Hopefully to visit again with other colleagues. Keep up. Hog bless your works, families and all the workers.

it was a nice trip to machakos peoples park located about 14 km from the junction(mombasa road . there were activities like ziplinning,merry go round,horse,boat,bike,and camel ridding.during weekeds its best to take family for out door activities .remember to carry sun glasses

It was ok. the ambience is good,lots of sitting spaces,security is on point,free entrance,lots of fun games which you pay to access(I personally enjoyed archeryCons: Water is a problem,we could not use the washrooms near us due to lack of water so we had to walk to the furthest toilets for kids which had water😕(if you have kids,prepare yourself well 😂,they may not get to the washrooms),no soap in the washrooms too,the sunflowers have dried up,water issues

Such a nice place to visit as a family with a range of activities for both kids and adults. I tried the maze horse riding and zip lining. Most activities are 100bob zip lining was 500 which was fair. There is a hotel on site but you can carry your food and have a picnic as there are lots of sitting spaces. The road was good too.

The place is beautiful as I went here on Madaraka day...Entrance is free.I would recommend you eat mbuzi fry instead of nyama Choma as a kg goes for ksh 800.

Machakos Peoples Park, The place to be. Indeed a cool, fun, beautiful and relaxing scenic place with amazing landscaping done. They also offer well prepared and delicious meals. The Park has great ambiance for your party with friends and a great place to take children out for outdoor activities. Thus convenient for couples, children, friends, and family. It has a wide range of activities both for kids and adults ( including zip lining sailing, maze, merry go round, amphitheater with live music, skating etc.).

A very good place to hang out with family or friends. Very spacious and well kept lawns. Epic views to the open Ukambani land as well. The downside is that the 3km road to the park has no pedestrian sectioning making it dangerous to them. The road is also unmarked. Another downside is the restaurant side where there seems to be some sort of disorganization and they will delay serving you. Another problem is that people can be served alcoholic drinks in front of another family with kids around. A demarcation would really help. Generally, its a fun and clean destination.

i came on a Tuesday when the park is closed because theres a telecommunication project were doing and a cellular phone booster is in the park.the park is very clean, aesthetically pleasing to the eye and the ambience is to die for.i really recommend Machakos People Park as a place for people to come and unwind and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Before you get the machakis town the area is dry..but wait untill you enter the park, you will be amazed the area is cool, green and environmental friedly

Came here today with the preschool kids.It was a lovely, well-spent day.The lush green expanse is a sight for sore eyes, in the middle of the arid Machakos at this time of the year.Fun rides for kids, face painting, the bouncing castle and the boat ride!Theres also a zip line, horse & camel rides, buggy rides, a life-size maze, and a small-time VR-ish cinema.*If you have an idea of what you will do before you go there, you wont have a dull moment.

Machakos peoples park is one of a kind park. the park is located in Machakos County and it is the brainchild of the Governor of the area His Excellency Mutua. The park is a bit far from the main road and ca be accessed using a car, motorbike and a bicycle. There is no entry charges to the park. The park is open to all visitors. It normally opens in the morning and closes at around 8 pm in the evening. The park is a very friendly place and offers breath taking views and incredible atmosphere. There is an amphitheater that is normally used to host entertainment for visitors. There is also a beautiful man made lake that can be seen across the park. The park has a zip line that is a must try for adrenaline junkies. There is so much to do and experience in this beautifully made park.

Spend your day with the family enjoying this park in Machakos. There is a walking trail that allows you to walk and enjoy the scenery of Ukambani land.

Beautiful park located off Nairobi - Machakos town. It has children play area, and a few adult games, a restaurant/club and a dancehall. Perfect for outdoor events.

Its a great place for those who are looking for some peace and quiet however the day we were there was public holiday and was quite crowded and noisy but other times, it would be a place to enjoy. There is a restaurant but you can bring your own food and have a picnic in the area. They offer affordable zip lining but not to the standards that are required(great for those who want to have some fun though).

A great place for family or individuals to be at and have fun. There are fun activities to indulge in for children as well as adults. Theres also a huge parking lot and an amphitheater.

A good place to take a Sunday afternoon picnic or to take the family for a chilled outing. There are a number of rides operational there over the weekends, including a mini train on a tiny circular track, kiddies cars, quad bikes and a zip line for the more adventurous. On some weekends, they have camel rides.

Free entrance, well maintained, good for picnic, a lot of activities for kids (very reasonable pricedrestaurants for having dinner or lunch. Very recommendable.

Beautiful and expansive park. Quite worth the drive from Nairobi to check it out and have a relaxing afternoon. Pack a picnic.
