Excellent service. Great drinks. Fun and exciting but not so loud that we couldnt talk to each other.

I was there several times both times I was there there was not another person in sight if I wanted to drink alone I would stay at home

I love the atmosphere. The prices for drinks was reasonably. Bartender was excellent. I left my purse...went back to get it the next day & everything was in there just like I left it. Will be back real soon

Voted best Spin-Dip, Mac & Cheese, and Wings in the QC. By Me. Honestly, it is hard to run a wing special week in and week out while still putting out quality food.. But Macs does it. Every. Single. Time. I strongly suggest the Jamaican Jerk or Ragin Cajun Wings. Great Drink menu and prices. Hardworking and friendly staff! Check em out!

The waitress simply did not want to be there. Took our drink order and kept walking past us. We left after 15 minutes never getting anything.

Best burger be had in the qc. Double with pepper jack, caramelized onions and bacon. Onions caramelized to perfection. Their take on pepper jack, with the chopped peppers and jalapeños was amazing. Onion rings probably the best I’ve ever had. Used to go to 11th St. precinct, and they have a premade Guinness drizzled Onion ring. Macs our hand battered, and drizzled with an actual Guinness reduction. They are unbelievable

Fantastic service, Fantastic food, Fantastic atmosphere. If you want some of the best burgers in the QC, this is where you find them. They should rename the place to Macs Fantastic Tavern.

Dude I’ve been sleeping on this place! The food was outstanding. So many choices for food and drink!

Divey, in a good way. Not a lot of natural light, so its easy to lose track of time. The music playing over the sound system seemed more to match the bartenders taste than the customers vibe. Everyone weve talked to raves about their food. We just had their fries, and they were hot, crisp, and tasty.

Very attentive staff, even during peak busy hours. Excellent food, combined the Mac and cheese and bangers and mash entrees, expecting leftovers, but it was so good, I ate it all. Also has a full bar and beer on tap.

Check this place out if youre visiting the QC! Unique atmosphere, great drinks, and it wont break the piggy bank.

Went on a Wednesday night. Good crowd but mostly college age. Drink prices are good. Four of us dropped in for my sons birthday and the owner gave him a shot. I will stop back in.

We truly enjoy this place. The food, service and drinks are excellent at an affordable price.

This is a nice tavern with great food. Looks like original woodwork and floors. Restrooms are clean too. Servers and bartenders are nice and funny. It’s a great place to relax and get together. They have great food and don’t get in a hurry. Sit long, talk much, and laugh often.

Awesome Mac and Cheese burger. We had fantastic service. A menu thats made for everyone. I would definitely recommend eating and drinking here.

Got to love the mac and cheeseburger plate. We got the Macs mac and cheese to go its the best around......good music, full bar and plenty of tvs.....there also is a covered smokers patio that you can take your drink out with you.....A+

Macs Tavern has been around for 34 years. The owner and staff there are impeccable and the food is outstanding. Its not very often you find a place that feels this comfortable and I am happy to feature it here.

We have been here three times in the last month, and each time it was really, really awesome. Generally I give a restaurant some leeway these days, with the staffing shortage and all, but these guys dont need it. Weve always been waited on immediately and taken care of in a timely manner.The wings are great (and with a variety of tasty sauces!), and we have also enjoyed most of the appetizers, and the burgers, as well. Cant go wrong with a drink here, either. Im disappointed in myself for not trying Macs sooner, as we have been talking of going for a long while.

No greeting when we walked in, only two customers at the bar. There was plenty of help there to greet or seat us, moved two tables together for a big party and yet no greeting. Took five minutes to bring us water, water had floaties and black specs in it. We left due to lack of service.

Fantastic service and food. Serving sizes were incredibly generous. The drinks were amazing. The service was wonderful. The gentleman at the bar made us feel right at home. We found it online while were in town on vacation. We loved the atmosphere and the music. The wooden bar is beautiful. Highly recommend the macaroni and cheese and the burgers.

This place is outstanding! Great food, great service, and all in a neat old Irish Pub. The spinach artichoke dip was a great appetizer followed by literally the best Reuben Ive ever had. It even had real hand cut corned beef! My wife had a 4 cheese burger with onion rings. We both loved that as well (I stole a bite). Hand pattied beef, quality bun, and great flavored bacon for an addition. My son had buffalo wings which were also very good (I stole a bite of those too! Lastly the bartender/server Jordan was prompt, friendly and intuitive. Dont overlook this place for great food in a somewhat anassuming location.

Always on point. Food is amazing. Definitely consistent. Service is great. Big props to Gary for running such an establishment. Do yourself the favor of trying the onion rings or the fish and chips, best inthe area by far!

Macs has a relaxed but fun atmosphere. The Irish Stew was top notch! Visiting from out of state and this was a BIG win. Our bartender/waiter was phenomenal and making it look easy. Everyone was more than pleased with their selections!

Looks can be deceiving. Wasnt expecting much when we went here for dinner, but the food was really good (and the service was great). Went for Sunday (I think the menu might be differentand got brats and Mac and Cheese, both were excellent. The onion rings were great and the beer was decent price. Would highly recommend.

Had to have a pork tenderloin while in Davenport and wanted to try a new spot and not only did they have a lot of good items on the menu they were very well priced.The pork tenderloin was so good from the pork to the fry to the seasoned breading.Def a nice place to stop for a drink or a meal, bartender was very personable too.

I had been to Macs a few times for drinks over the course of about 3 years and never heard anyone mention anything about their food besides their wings. One day I found myself in downtown Davenport around dinner time and wings sounded good so we went there. The wings ended up being a bit pricey so I got a small order of them and a burger and immediately wondered why I havent heard about the food there. Best burger and best wings I have had in the Quad Cities, plus the weekend bar scene is a good time as well. Server was very friendly and gave recommendations on food even though he was taking all orders for food and drinks. When I walked in for the first time I thought this place would be a bit of a dive bar but I have never had a bad experience at Macs. Dont judge a book by its cover and go get some great food.

Love the atmosphere, people, and food. Macs is always a favorite spot that I love getting to every time Im in town. Ive traveled to many places and have yet to find a Fish and Chips as crispy and perfect as the ones they serve. Customer service is something the owners obviously take pride in, and they do it right. While they take notice and serve their patrons, its not invasive like it is at many other establishments.Macs is the antithesis of many of the pretentious bars in the area, but still have the quality level to stand toe to toe with them all.

Macs has the best food around. Everything is homemade. I love the Guinness reduction they put on their onion rings. Large portions, great prices and friendly service. If you havent been, you should.

My wife and I went for the first time last night. We split an order of the onion rings and got some wings.The onion wings were potentially the best Id ever had. They were thin and perfectly crispy and none of the onion came pouring out after a bite like so many others. I would be back just for these.The wings were also very good. They were a good size, nice and crispy, well sauced. Everything I was looking for from a wing craving. I loved the Fire Buffalo sauce while my wife preferred the milder regular Buffalo. Both were great though and the BBQ and Honey Mustard were also good.Service was great, fast and friendly. We will definitely be coming back for more.
