Ma's Restaurant - Halal restaurant in Hong Kong, China
Fantastic family restaurant with a really good menu selection. The food didnt particularly suit my tastes but there were items I really enjoyed. Staff were very welcoming and friendly regardless of a language barrier. Id definitely recommend to any Muslim traveller seeking halal food in Hong Kong. Should I return to the city Ill likely be back.
Best Halal Chinese food in HKTry the beef brisket noodles and black bean beef noodles
The restaurant has shut down since its last day on 23 May 2021. So sad as it was my favourite haunt.
Great food. Id recommend it, but today was their last day in business. 😩
The restaurant will shut down after this Sunday (23 May 2021).Veal Goulash was great. Friends who loved lamb should try double cooked lamb soup.
super tender lamb curry. great spice levels. amazingly juicy beef pockets. both with a soya milk for under HKD90. really enjoyable.
My favourite Halal restaurant in Kowloon side. Great delicious foods, great value, super friendly prices. To me the highlight is always the juicy beef pocket which is unbelievably juicy and yummy!
One of my fave halal resto in town.
One of the few places serving halal Chinese food with its speciality in lamb dishes. Try their curry mutton we ate too fast and forgot to take pics 🤪 This place never disappoints!
I had crispy shredded chilli beef and it was amazing, so hard to find this dish in Hong Kong!
HALAL CHINESE! Great quality, speedy service , tasty food
Had the mutton curry. Way too oily. My stomach is now upset with me. Typical of mainland Chinese cooking. I would stick to Indian if you are looking for curry. Expect about HKD80 per person.
Another halal place. I love the cold dish and the veal goulash. Their fried egg plant is not bad too.
One of the best halal restaurant in Hongkong City
Another halal restaurant you should try in Hong Kong. Bare in mind their food portion is quite big if you are a small eater. For 4 us we shared 3 dishes that we ordered here
Very delicious halal restaurant in mongkok. I love it
Ma’s Restaurant is great local food! The dishes presented aren’t very good looking however they taste amazing. The service is a little slow sometimes however that is one of the problem that comes with being a popular restaurant among locals. Personal favourites were the lamb wrap, lamb dumplings, and lamb fried buns, absolutely delicious!
Very recommended halal restaurant. The foods are great, toilets are clean & the owner are very kind..
The food was average. Service was quick because we came in big group. Even, some of us just finished the soup, they show up quickly & take away the bowl.Tissue can’t request more, it will be charges. Can’t take more pictures due to many items runs fast. For HALAL food, yes.
Great food, average service.Juicy beef bun and tasty sour-spicy soup.Price is fair, would revisit.
Love going to this place. The food is always comforting. Make you feel at home having a wonderful meal. Price is pretty reasonable considering the qualities. Must try the beef noodles, ox tail, veal goulash and many more if you can eat.
Delicious and flavourful dishes. There are many food options and yes it is a Muslim restaurant where there is no pork served. It gets very busy here and you may be required to share tables. Anything with a chili next to it...is surely spicy. Not slight but rather good spice.
A must try for halal food tourist. Nice boss and restaurant seems occupied most time. Delicious halal local food. Have wide selection of food and also for young children.
Mas Restaurant has flavourful and well prepared Asian food that is Halaal. The place is really popular and there is often a wait - but it is worth waiting for
One of the best in town. Very local. Quality food and value to money.... Ofcourse don’t expect nice decoration or whatever u think it’s gonna be upscale one. It’s in a very local district in HK which I am sure they want to provide the food for the locals and the Muslim.... if you want try local style. Come. They speak English or I mean can at least communicate....
Has very good curries, dumplings and pan-fried dumplings/meat patties. It reminds me of home. We first ate here regularly when they had a location in Vancouver, Canada but when the owners moved back to Hong Kong, we missed their food. So glad we found their location on our trip to Hong Kong. Honestly, the place is clean, busy and the food is delicious. You must try their curry (we prefer beef so we had the beef brisket curry with rice but their lamb curry is worth having if you enjoy lamb). Theres so much I love at things place, brings back so many memories. Will be back many more times before leaving HK.
Very delicious food, many choices and cheap! 😋 2 mins walk only from Prince Edward station. Food served fast and they are on time when closing restaurant (they even put operation hour on the table 😂). Must go!
One of the few Halal Chinese restaurants in Hong Kong. As such, its worth the travel up to come here. Food is tasty albeit rather salty which seemed to be the norm in most restaurants in Hong Kong anyway. Decent priced dishes too here.
Good Chinese Halal everyone can enjoy. Fast service with local hospitality.
yummy halal Chinese food. must visit restaurant.
Delicious halal food, good opportunity for muslims to try out Chinese halal food.
Good food, fast service and halal. Definitely hit the spot.
A great halal restaurant. The veal goulash is a must try. The spicy and sour soup can pass though.
A good place for early lunch. I heard it gets busy during the peak hours. Lamb curry was excellent. The place is neat and clean. Love to come back to try its other dishes.
Go for it!!! Where? Its a walking 5mins distance from prince edward MTR exit E. Nice halal authentic Chinese dishes.
Nice halal place to eat. The hot soya milk was so good.
Not that delish but also not that bad. If not because in Hong Kong, which very hard to find halal food around, maybe this restaurant not the one I will return to. The taste is normal. But the veggies menus is ok. The price is on the higher side, but the staff is so nice! The place quite convenient in term of location. Maybe I should try other menus next time ♡
One of the few option for halal restaurant in hong kong. Easy to find although it took 7 minute walk from nearest mtr but if you using bus, it quite near to locate the bus stop from the restaurant. The staff was friendly even tough they just understand simple basic english but the restaurant manager speak english very fine and also helpful.
It is really easy to find as the direction and location we can find easily via google map.Be ready to queue because the demand of this restaurant is really high, not only because they sell halal food but also the deliciousness of the food.Highly recommended place to eat
Halal foods! They served chinese foods and provided english menu also.I tried the dumplings and it tasted good even though the skin is thick. The wonton noodle is unexpectedly good and you can ask for thick or thin noodles as you prefer. Mostly all is delicious. But the taste is quite different with chinese food we had in Indonesia, which tasted better and tastier.
Best beef goulash ever! Braised beef noodle is great too. All of the food we ordered really raise up to expectations. Overall one of the best halal restaurant in Hong Kong.
Always want to try this goulash, meat soup so good. You must be try!
It’s really a good place with quality food such as curry, dumplings and chicken. But nothing is better than their signature Muslim Beef Cake! The cake is crispy outside but serve with surprisingly juicy beef. You can ever find another one in town.If you want to enjoy the food in cheaper price, please come at lunch tea, they have great set menu with their signature food!
Fantastic food! Goulash to die for. Noodles are very filling. Awesome value.
Friendly service, yummy food and free WiFi. A mixture of northern Chinese dishes and local “cha chan ten” regulars. Quality food at knock down prices, 5 mins from Prince Edward MTR
Very nice and authentic Chinese cuisine using halal meat with really reasonable price. Definitely worthy trying
Best place to eat for muslim traveler. You can taste Chinese food but no need to worry if it uses pork meat. It has so many menu and so many choices. Even though it is a halal restaurant, it also popular in the local people.
Great food, inexpensive and quick and efficient service. Also has an English menu. Veal goulash is a must!
Good food served here which is halal. A wide variety of choices as well. Take the MTR to the Prince Edward station and a short walk you would arrive at this location.
Superb food at reasonable price. Great service too!
