Thessaloniki, Αποθήκη Α' , Λιμάνι Θεσσαλονίκης Warehouse A', Port of, Thessaloniki 540 15, Greece, Polygyros
Small cultural center tracing regional history through photography collections & rotating exhibits.
if youre ever visiting the port please go and see the museum if you have time, truly amazing also great exhibitions
Very nice place
Wonderful exhibition and amazingly deep and complex descriptions for every piece of artwork, we absolutely loved it
They are featuring a witty/sad/beautiful exhibition of Greek landscape photography atm. Recommend for sure.
I love the exposition, nice location with a great view too!
Meh… there were just photographs.
An unforgettable experience, direct contact with art 👏
Excellent display and extremely interesting and relevant .
Congratulation to organisers! Nice place, I felt safe!
Fantastic photo gallery on the Old Port. Just 2 EUR to enter. Professional friendly staff. Current exhibition is on COVID pandemic photography. Excellent experience overall. 30-45 minutes to see everything.
truly impressive exhibition from a whole wealth of independent and established photographers showcasing and documenting the true seriousness of the social, and economical impact of COVID 19 — a must see! tote bags are only €10 and entrance fee also very affordable! If you visit Thessaloniki definitely stop by!
great museum, modern infrastructure with easy access, offers exhibitions all year round + special gift shop.
Very nice place in the Thessaloniki International Exhibition.
Super cool exhibitions all year round.
South Afican theme! A misture ot photos and art mixed. Cafè was closed. Toilet facilities with a lift to the first floor.
Fantastic Roger Ballen exhibition.
Currently they have the exhibition of Roger Balen, which I enjoyed allot!
Amazing exhibition. Free of charge
A great place to visit in the port area of Thessaloniki. Hosts a lot of modern art expos and other photographic festivals
Great exhibition, good books, lovely location. When entering, do not have the weird entrance put you off, just go up the stairs. Michalis Kazantzakis has great autobiographical picture here. Lots of things going on here.
Excellent museum, great exhibits of photos of various artists! Quiet, peaceful and friendly place, next to the port! And it has the best "cafeteria", where you can sit and read a book, or watch the view of the sea (their coffee is from a vending machine, but they allow you to bring your own coffee). Many students, during the exam periods go there to study, so its really quiet and calm placeAlso if you are a photographer yourself, I think you can contact to them for help or even to display your work (but I am not 100% sure).
Saw a very good group exhibition, by 32 contemporary Greek photographers, in this well designed and dedicated space. Wonderfully located in the old port, close to other arts institutions and kitchen bar for when you’re rated out and need to relax with a long drink and great view.
Interesting for people who are into modern art kind of photography but not so great for average visitors. Don’t expect “normal”photos here.
Its a wonderful little museum in one of of the most beautiful spots in the city. The view from the café is mindblowing.
Nice place and its not too big. Also the cafe has a great view
Very interesting artistic photos, takes around an hour for the full tour. 2 Euros admission fee.
Whenever Ive visited this place, its been for a festival, an exhibition or something is the kind. This has engraved it in my mind as a fascinating place of culture and experimentation. Try and visit during the files festival.
Great museum. I have been there twice and can confidentely say that it is a must see for photographers and for people interested in the art and history of photography.
Very nice exhibition from greek artists and nice music experimental gigs!
Very nice photo exchibitions from all over the world. Great location. The price of the ticket is only 2euros. From Tuesday to Sunday open until 19.00. Worth a visit and nice area next to the sea. You can combine it with nice walk around.
Very interesting exhibition and respectful people.
Located in the harbor, this museum is a great place to visit when you are strolling around Thessaloniki. The exhibitions are really interesting and there is also a cafe with a great view of the harbour!
This is rather a gallery. Yet a lovely one! They have small cafe and the wifi: important for me, as a traveler, so thanks! Entrance fee is 2 eur. The exhibition i was at in Feb 2019 was connected by same topic which i liked. Visit to the place really saved me when the snow outside made it impossible to walk around.
Quite small museum but really intresting. The entrance fee is 2€ (1€ discounted). It took us about half an hour. There is also an area where you can take a coffee or snacks from the machines and seat, enjoy the view, read a book and relax.
I loved the photographs and the nice location next to the old port.
Great place to spend some time after your walk near the sea. Very close to city centre, Ladadika and Aristotelous.
One of the very few places in Greece devoted to the art of Photography! Located in the old harbor offers great views to the sea & the city. Ticket is low (2€and exhibitions are always very interesting. The cafe seems to be a bit neglected and that’s a pity. A small museum store has a small photography books selection plus exhibition catalogues, tshirts and similar staff. Must visit
Lets say...you might see something interesting...from time to time there are some interesting exhibitions... anyways take cash with you because they wont accept your plastic money...
Temporary exhibits change and are well thought out. Meseum is small and manageable, but big enough to hold an interesting amount of photography. Free WiFi, small cafe and nice view of part of the bay. Small selection in gift shop which is tied to the admissions area. 2 euros call for adult admission. Capitalist Realism exhibit was showing when we visited.
Really interesting photo exhibitions, cheap tickets, quite cafe with view. I would like it to be warmer (atmosphere and temperature). The staff is polite and helpful.
Thessaloniki museum of photography is seated in an old warehouse at the port. Apart for the exhibition there is a cozy place for drinking a cup of coffee, with nice view and ambiance
Like most photography museums depend on the current presentations. This time was self portraits event. The area is nice and worth visiting. A real dark room with presentations of photography procedure tour could attract more people. Don’t forget to scan the QR code at the entrance
Really interesting little museum. Very reasonably priced- only 2€ entry for an adult. Beautiful view from the cafe over the water too!
Interesting collection on a low fare. The café has amazing view and is worth a visit for sure
Located at the port it is no extra way to visit the small museum. Fee is 2€, fair and a very nice escape into tranquility from the busy city.
The only museum open in august. Simple. Nice. Anche cheap. Good spot.
As the name suggests I was expecting at least a moderate collection of photography equipments. Instead there are only photos on the walls. It is a gallery for sure. Not a museum. But even though I was disappointed with the lack of old photography equipments, the photo exhibit was indeed nice and worth a visit.
I was expecting old cameras but apart from one set with photography equipment there are only photographs. Nonetheless, the photographs are amazing.
At the time of our visit there was an exhibition of images, depicting the refugee crisis. It was very moving, so I give 5 stars, but actually this is not a photography museum, but a gallery, so it is kind of misleading.
A nice museum but small and accommodates only a single exhibit. No permanent collection that I could see.
