MM Café & Bar in Haugesund

I am really happy that Merci will get new much biger place in Bad Soden. Everything is fine exept male waiter, the waiteress are plain awesome. His addittude makes you dont wanna come to this Café -1 star. - second star on service is because it has been seen that he is pulling cakes from the the fridge with bare hands, not even wash them before. Thats just nasty and reckless working.

Excellent pastries but a bit of waiting

Favourite cake shop/cafe in Bad Soden although service can be slow. Wasps currently an issue which is a shame.

Tasty breakfasts but the hall wasn’t cleaned for weeks. Long waiting times due to packed Sunday. Waitresses aren’t really welcoming.

Great selection of cakes and cookies, and even cozier atmosphere with excellent service.

Great macaroons, cakes, tarts and a very, very good coffee. But the best stuff is for brunch: different french breakfasts, quiche, edds 101 ways, salads, soups... And the waiters are so nice and helpful, they really deserve a tip!Do not miss it if you visit Bad Soden, or even come for a brunch in prurpose from Frankfurt.

Best cakes and service in the town!! Period!!

All of their breads are promisingly delicious.No doubt to that.Today the waitress Birgit, served us a wonderful brunch. I asked for her name thanks to the satisfying service.Normally the workers are not so friendly, but I realized that it could be different. 😊

Frankly, there is no reason not to come here. There could be people who havent been here but there will be nobody who will be here only once.

Nice Cafe in the heart of Bad Soden

Update 2020: Service with new staff had went from good to terrible. Last of incident was that I waited more then 30 minutes for my drink.Kitchen, bakery and deserts are working still good, but most are waiters are terrible, thats why two stars less this time.

Best marzipan croissants I’ve ever had, highly recommend a visit

Amazing cakes and pastries and the bread is incredible.Super nice staff, would definitely recommend for lunch, dinner or cake!!

5* for the huge variety of cakes and deserts! I tried the choco fudge cake which was delicious. Next time well try also breakfast there !Highly recommended for the coffee and desert in between meals;)

The best Salad with Sauteed Turkey Breast Strips (Salat mit Putein the region!! Absolutely delicious and satisfying with a lovely, authentic homemade vinaigrette dressing. Enjoy with their wonderful Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc)!

Its true - the coffee isnt amazing, but the pastries & cakes make up for it. Its a fantastic Sunday "Cafe und Kuchen" place. Service is friendly for German standard.

Awesome cakes but the staff is unfortunately quite unfriendly. Other reviews seem to confirm the same. Once I had an incident in which the blonde lady who works there regularly was directly rude because I called my wife a few times to ask her opinion on which cakes to buy. She continuously made faces and finally yelled at me saying "you are all the time on the phone, maybe your wife should come" and just stopped serving me. I was quite surprised and another woman continued with my order. Its just amazing how businesses can treat customers so badly.

Great little cafe that allows dogs. A little expensive, but worth it.

Goodish breakfast, apart from the coffee, which is really awful and tastes of coffee grounds. Peppered prices.

Very nice place. Big choice of in house made cakes also some bakes and Pralinen.

In addition to great coffees and ice cream, the cafe offers a wide selection of breads and pastries, including French style goodies! It is conveniently located just off Königsteiner Strasse that runs through the heart of Bad Soden.

Delicious desserts and a marzipan cake to die for! And the chocolate one.. And the apple tart.. and the chocolate one!! Seriously people, GO!

Long waiting times, rude waitresses and a generally cramped atmosphere - reserved a table for three and got one for two.

Excellent food. Cozy and dog friendly. Not exceptionally speedy, but thats not the point. Slow down, enjoy the coffee and scrumptious cakes, and focus on what is important - time with friends and family.

Some of staff was very rude to me. Even I live in Bad soden but I wont go there never in my life. Many thanks for bad expriance at 1st of Jauary. Ower should know how staff care about customers until when they lose customers.

a nice cafe that serves cakes pastries and omelette for breakfast. good service one of the staff speaks english, would gove it 5 stars but for the dogs in the cafe that were barking and moving around which was a bit annoying.

I like to go to Cafe Merci for their salads (especially their normally delicious Salad with Turkey Breast Strips). But my advice: dont order a glass of red wine here - stick with their white wine (the Weissburgunder and Grauburgunder are always very good). I made the mistake of having a glass of supposed Bordeaux with my Salat Nizza. It was awful and I had to send it back...practically vinegar. They brought me another glass which was almost just as bad - undrinkable. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and frustrated...it ruined my meal and I dont expect to go back to Cafe Merci anytime soon (there are many other restaurants in Bad Soden with good turkey salads). What is it with red wine in Germany?...you just cant get a good glass anywhere! This is really a white wine country.The coffee and hot chocolate at Cafe Merci are also very mediocre. Much better at other nearby cafes.Bad red wine and coffee...so much for French flair :-(

Nice medium sized cafe with plenty of seats and yummy cakes. Opens on Sundays too.
