MJ's Pizza in Springfield

I ordered food online which said 1 hour for delivery and it came in 2.5 hours. I called to see when if would be ready and the guy who answers the phone was rude saying it’s delivered. Why would I call if it was delivered? He then hung up on me. My food was delivered 15 minutes after the phone call and if was cold. So annoyed. Customer service horrible. Never again. Ghetto

Worst experience, they don’t check their online orders . Waiting for almost 2 hours and I called the restaurant and they told me that they never checked Or looked for any orders online.

Ordered a pizza at 11:15am, called at 12:20 pm to see if it would be here soon. They told me they never even made it because the paper in the printer got stuck. Didnt offer a discount or anything. Wont be ordering from here again

One of the best pizzas arround for the money but there grinders are not good at all. If you order here better Go for the pizza & do not bother with the rest of the items on the menu.

Theyre always rude over the phone and always take a long time with delivery. Foods often a hit or miss.

One of the best pizza places in town. Their deliveries are alway precise and on time. They aim at pleasing customers. Pizza and grinders are great. I never had a bad pizza ever or grinder. Their very fast and care about the community they feed. If anyone is ever passing through this was try the pizza it’s great.

It’s like they took lil Cesar’s pizza and put it in they own box pizza was soggy I ordered a bunch of food and they got here in 15 min none of the food was made properly and was rushed never again do not recommend

Worst service in America I would rather commit suicide than go back here and order pizza the staff are rude ignorant and racist the worst service manager is disrespectful and rude they do not know how to take a order correctly I would rather jump off a cliff than to eat at their restaurant for 1 minute worst service

i watched the “cook” grab raw chicken and did not wash his hands and continued to make food...i will be calling the health department…the worst part is the two owners seen this and said nothing even though i spoke to them about…i asked for a full refund, i’m believe not following kitchen sanitation 101 is common kitchen etiquette for them and as a former chef i was appalled by this!

This was a hard one to call, and Ill explain why: "Back in the mid to late 70s, MJs was one of "thee" best pizza joints to hit up. That TASTY PIZZA SAUCE, fresh meats and veggies, and lets not forget the signature greasiness that dripped with deliciousness 😋. Absolute signature...THEN. Unfortunately, as I waited with anticipation for my combo pizza to arrive, it came to me, a question in my thoughts (and taste buds), "...are the owners still the same, as well as the pizzas?" I will soon find out.~....🤔...[1 hr later]When the delivery came, I was ecstatic. I opened the box and as expected I had to heat it back up in the oven.. okay, fine. Ready to grub out, I sat with napkins and a beer, took my long awaited bite and...ohh-kay - NOT what I expected. Everything about the pizza LOOKED and SMELLED like it SHOULD HAVE, but the sad disappointment was the SAUCE 🙆🏽! Dont get it wrong, it wasnt terrible, it just wasnt seasoned... seriously. But that was rectified with some spices in my kitchen. 🤷🏽Eh...things happen.~All in all, it was a good pizza, Great crust!!. And to the Mgr/Supv at MJs...."Please, tighten up the sauce."~~Thanks~~

One year ago I rated this place 5 stars. Changing because we ordered online at 7:10 for delivery. Received order at 9:45...NEVER AGAIN...we called twice to check on our order and were given run around, they lied and said we didnt order until 8 oclock yet we had a time stamped order confirmation 🙄ETA: When we finally got the pie...my husband had to wait while the driver called shop to see if we had really paid online..And we ended up with a plain cheese pizza instead of the XL combo we ordered...at that point we were entirely fed up...this place wont get our business again. I wish I could take back all the stars. Do yourself a favor and order somewhere else

Ive been coming here for pizza for 20+ years. Never had a bad pizza and I always order mine/light cook. Actually, I just had one of the best pizzas ever from this place yesterday. Delivery time usually is good. Prices are decent, as well.

If you want food in a decent amount of time order somewhere else...almost an hour and a half wait for some wings....outrageous.

Its all in the sauce. Thats why I love this place because Im a pizza connoisseur. Ive only worked in three pizza shops when I was younger and I still love a slice. Mmmm

I wish I could give negative stars. They screwed up our orders 4 times in a row. My meal got completely screwed up and they keep forgetting the whole order.

Extremely unprofessional they mess up on your order instead of fixing it they make excuses and argue honestly don’t deserve any stars at all I’m not sure why they are still open food is poorly made and very sloppy

MJS has awesome Reubens hamburger sandwich, but the inside is sooo o er due for updated renovations should of been done long ago...parking is tricky too...

Food was 9/10 delicious, deliver was a little long but well worth the wait! I’m not from Springfield but looking to move, this restaurant made me want to move here just for them! Can’t wait to order from them again!

We come here a lot, have for years until today. Got TWO hairs in my food, the second one I took a photo of. Called asked they credit us and she has the audacity to say it couldnt have come from there. Mind you there is buffalo chicken OVER the hair smfh. Anyways so she says she will and offers to send a new one. I said no thank you after that I wasnt hungry. Again she insisted though it didnt come from them. We hang up, I throw out the salad. About five minutes later she calls back saying to bring down the salad to the driver I cant keep it they want to see it. I explain I threw it out she tells me GO GET IT OUT OF THE TRASH. I said are you out of your mind? Dont call me back.

They make the best sausage grinders!Its the only place I go to for a sausage grinder.The delivery wasnt so bad this time. I ordered again today 01/16/21 @ 6:30 it is now 6:54. Ill give them until 7:15 and that will determine how good they are with delivery 😊

First time ordering this place. Order for delivery and walk away to wait, as I would any other place. Nearly 2 hours pass and nothing. Call up the place and find out the delivery driver calls you to make sure its not a prank call. Ok, fair. Sounded like they would send somebody out with our order (a lot of background noise). Okay.Its been an hour, and nothing. Glad we were planning to pay in cash.

Horrible!I had hair on my pizza and it wasn’t baked.This used to be a great place.The food was bad and the response from the staff was worse when I called to let them know.

👎🏽I consider myself a very fair reviewer....so its kinda of easy to put out one of, if not the worst experience in food delivery Ive had. And I used to like MJs😔heavily disappointed. Has been my best pizza joint for a decade but lately it’s a nightmare. “MJs please hold” as soon as you call. Then you wait ten minutes. Even worse, the pizza hasn’t been good lately.

New Owners are horrible indian phone lady has a slick mouth. Quality of food is even worse. Nopride in they food and the way it tastes shows. New owners took advantage of the last owners foot traffic. Go someplace else SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE

Was arguably the best pizza around but things have diminished over the last few years. Toppings have decreased and prices have increased. Also they say told me 15 minutes and I waited an additional 25. What happen to the old MJs??

Had a chicken salad and pizza. The pizza was awesome and the salad was so fresh and large. I would try this place if your looking for great food at very fair cost in the Springfield area

Worst experience at this place.. was given a old pizza that made me sick . and they did norhing to correct it. The wife urgued they checked it. After asking me to change my order because someone did not puck up there pizza. I said ok and ask was it freshly cooked and man said yes..this puzza must of been a day old or atlease 6 hours sitting. And it was burnt on bottom..i would of continued to support them.. Until the wife urgued instead of fixing this issue..

I ordered a hambuger calzone and choloclate cake the cake was good but when my order got here I received a calzone with meatballs and pasta sauce also they took 1hr and 30min. To deliver my food.

If I could give them negative stars I would. It took 2 hours to get my food delivered. When I got it my grinder was soggy and my pizza was ice cold. They refused to give me a refund. I would never ever ever order from this place again.

Love their food!! Ordered a pizza that was supposed to have broccoli on it but when i went to pick it up in the time frame given, it wasn’t ready. Turns out the broccoli they had in house wasn’t good so someone was sent to the store to get some fresh! That is what I call amazing customer service, thank you ☺️

So I ordered a party sizedsized for the family and myself. So I started eating my second slice of pie and start chewing on a long piece of black hair. I would post the pictures I took of this nonsense but I dont know how. I immediately called MJs back to speak with the manager and asked for a free soda for the trouble and was told "I will give you soda next order." I am not satisfied with my experience and I will not be ordering from MJs any longer.

Customer service sucks. Lady that answer the phone needs to learn english better if she is going to be taking orders. And also know what is a sandwich. She asked me what is a sandwich, that she does not know what a sandwich is. MJs lost a loyal customer..

Used to be a GREAT place to get pizza perfectly done and with an amazing test. Not sure if they switched management or someone bought the place. But their food quality has gone in the dumps. Try calling them and see how they answer your call just so the phones wont ring. You will not be greeted you will wait while listening to everyone else place their orders until they get to you and when they do they can barely speak english and cant hear you over the conversations of everyone else. It makes it IMPOSSIBLE to get a decent order. And when the food gets home prepare for a HUGE disappointment. Sauce is disgusting, pizza tastes frozen and reheated, and idk what cheese they use but it tastes NOTHING like mozzarella. So sad.

I always liked MJs and I continued to order because I loved the taste of the baked ziti with meatballs. The problem; consistently, something would be forgotten in my order. Either the dressing or garlic bread; extra cheese or sauce. It was always something. But I wasn’t going to be petty until the day the sauce tasted like metal. As if someone had left a metal utensil in it. I was done. I still love the sauce but I won’t order again. I don’t want to pay to be disappointed.

I ordered a party size pizza brought it home opened the box & noticed black hair, normally I wouldnt get to mad being in the restaurant business it happens from time to time, but this was disgusting it black hair everywhere baked in the crust on top all over the bottom!!!! Will NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN!!!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!I have ordered here in the past with no issues using GrubHub. However this last experience was beyond horrible. My good was an hour and a half late. And when I called and told the woman that my sandwich was incorrect she told me to call GrubHub there was nothing she could do. Wouldnt even remake the sandwich. Was completely rude on the phone. I will never ever recommend anyone to go here. Especially with rude employees.

Ive been eating here since I was a kid. No doubt best pizza ever but lately they have gone down hill. Poor customer service and the food is very inconsistent. I ordered a burger and specifically asked for no.condiments, lettuce, or tomatoes. Yet, all that was on it. So I called back asked if something can be done the cashier told me she couldnt give me a refund and I couldnt get a replacement for another two hours. My fries were under cooked. Just the worst experience with any pizza place I have ever had. Great job running at good business to the ground.

Very upset, we bought a party size pizza wich was meatlovers & hair, lots of hair baked in the crust, a stomach turning amount of hair... I took the rest of the pizza back to show them, the lady gave me the money back then offered to make us a new one, I told her that Id have to check with my mom who had purchased it & Id get back to her she agreed... So I went home talked it over, when I called back to ask if they could make something other than Pizza, I was told that they already gave me back my money!!!!! Really way to keep your customers happy I will NEVER go back!!!!

I am so disgusted and disappointed in the service I received at MJs Pizza on Worthington St in Springfield MA. First of all I ordered the pizza through Grub hub which is a great service, but MJS never placed my order. So instead of allowing me to cancel my order, the owner began to insult me and told me I was in the wrong country, that I should be back in Africa. I fought intelligently with my words and showed the owner, who was Indian that not all black people react negatively to ignorant comments or insults. Im glad the truth came out about his dislike for African Americans and now, I will petition his restaurant to let the world know that we here in Springfield MA have no room for and will not support racists business owners.
