According to their Facebook page, Melaka Bird Park was closed temporarily for maintenance works from 3/9/2018. That was over 3 years ago! No information on if, and when, it will ever reopen.
Its currently closed for maintenance and Itll be closed for the next weeks.Edit: I visit again today 12/11/2021 and its closed for maintenance
Awesome experience. Bird sanctuary. Where we can see many varieties of birds, such as pigeon, parrots, peocock, ducks and many more.
Great place to bring the kids.. Not many species available & the overhead bridge was closed but all the animals are friendly.. Peacocks are the main attraction..
The park is not very big, can spend 1-2 hours here. Actually is a good place for family gathering. But some facilities is broken. Maybe is because of covid 19 no income. But hope government will allocate some fund to maintain.
Its very cool, especially for the price. The environment was quite clean and serene.
Good family vacation places
This attraction is hidden from the main road. Entrance fees is reasonably cheap especially for large family groups: RM5 for adult and RM3 for kids. They do sell seeds for bird & fish feeding at RM5 per cup.Birds are friendly and a lot of covered area / trees.
A very well maintained and clean bird park. Variety of bird species is not very huge but worth a short visit as the ticket price is cheap.
Place is well kept. Birds look heathy and well taken care of. I do however wish there were more birds in the park.
If you hate that crowded touristy place in Ayer Keroh, this place offer something else. Cheap enterance fee, less of people, easily approach kind of birds. This could be your first experience of birding activity.
The price is reasonable and many types of bird. Great place ππ
Beautiful place to visit. We can feed the bird live.
I love this place coz u can feed the birds and they are smart too.
Need to improve.. and keep more bird
Im feel very sad because many of bird is not in here. Only a few spesis left.. dear melaka gov please take action of this issue.. please make something to protect the bird and nuture.. same issue w zoo melaka... only one or two animals in one cage.. its too old and thin..
Youre close to the birds when entering this bird park. The birds are tame. Lucky me, I can see the peacock showing its beautiful feathers. During my visit not so many visitors as it is during weekday and people not aware this bird park already reopen. Hoping more birds next time and the park can be more bigger
Small. Not much to see. Its more like peacock park.
Its a small aviary. And not many birds. You can count the number of birds found here. What happened? Maybe many birds have died. But there were more than 10 peacocks running free in the park, which became the main attraction here. Rm 5 for entrance per adult, ok, reasonable . If they charge higher, nobody will come, it will not be worth it.
Not many bird species. The canopy walk was closed, lift under maintenance. Theres a mini petting zoo but you have to pay an additional RM3. The only fun attraction was the VR games.
Nice bird park
One of the best place in melaka. Can feed the birds, need to come early. Can i have one of the peacocks pls.
Kids was enjoy!
1. Before this, they were closed which i thought maybe for renovation. but when i visit this time, i dont see anything new.2. You cant walk on the observation deck. before this, when u walk up there, birds will come flocking around you. so you can easily feed them. Now, theres no such thing.
Ok la for the intro price..Dont expect much...1. cant go up the canopy walk....2. very few birds.....but you can go close to them...3. toilet n surau..speechlessly dirty...4. Water is soooo dirty....that make fish almost invisibleI hope the cleanliness will improve...toilet n surau is a basic facility they should pay attention to
Clean surrounding. Cool attractions. Good for family and small kids!
I like very much the place very injoyable.. Have alot of different birds to see...
Wasted time and money. Because it is still under renovation. Please update ur google map places and Facebook to announce as "still renovation "
Walk-in aviary with a myriad of birds ready to meet you, wonderful experience with a even a canopy view walkway of the place
Is under renovation, timing finish according to the people there is after Chinese New Year... and we waste of money to travel there as no notice saying it is close.. and we met a friendly Grab driver who waited for us for asking and drove us to another venue...
Small park with not many birds. Young children may enjoy feeding the birds. But the bird food is over priced.
Place have less birds compare to kl birds park but the birds are friendly to touris as they we hungry and expect all the visitors give them food.. follow visitors everywhere they go.. also some birds will fight on visitors hand. Price per entry for adult are rm17.50 and for kids are rm7 if im not mistaken. Kids at age 3 and below are free to enter..
Do not come during hot weather as birds are not active. Tickets are quite pricey but worth every cent. Birds are super tame and not hesitate to climb on your shoulder.
nice experience feeding the birds with the kids. but take note that their lifts is out of order and you need to go up 3 flight of stairs to get to the platform above to feed the parrots and pretty birds. the stairs is a bit dirty with bird dropping n seems not to be regularly clean. the garden on ground level is nice with turkeys and chicken. kids had fun there.
Birds well cared for. Some maintenance issues required. Bring along sunflower seeds as what the park sells isnt enough.
been there during the last chines new year holidays. the place is located near the malacca zoo though its a bit more inside the woods. parking is plenty.the place is clean and well kept. sadly the elevator was not working. this would be a problem for special need visitors.frankly, there were not many birds available. and most of the species were commonthey should put more signage that shows the picture and some brief info about the birds. kind of birds profileyou should purchase the foods for the birds at rm10 per pop. then only the birds would come close to youprice wise- i guess is a bit on a high side.
A very, pleasent and warming welcome from the birds, but only when you buy their own food packages cost you extra rm10.. Watch out for their poopoo too
My second time there and at only rm18 its well worth it. Still has a reasonable number of beautiful birds that allow you to come up to closely. Really need to get the bird feed if you want very up close and personal. Park is starting to run down a bit, but still fine. Next to melaka water park in Ayer keroh.
Medium amount of birds... Can go to have experience of feeding birds... Birds will rest all over your body.. Be sure to wear a least important tshirt as the bird sometimes will poop on you.. Some birds are bit aggressive n will try to snatch the food on your hand, but dont let it go..Entrance is RM17 n RM10 for kuaci...Try not to bring own food but if you insist only bring unsalted kuaci...Parking free.. Park bit isolated..
Theres a lot of bird when u carry the bird food π i give 4 star bcause park are nice, lots of parking. But bird food are expensive it rm10 for corn n some sunflower seeds n water.
Well..for kids its look so fun..kinda wild bird species like ayam api/mutiara (not sure in English what they call), colorful parrot etc, can feed the birds but hv to pay abt RM10 instead of the pricey fees entrance (why not just gv for free the sunflowers seed and corn seed πcareful if the birds eat from your palm, their paruh might bite urs.
Nice place to see the rare macaw parrot bird.they are tame. You can give them sunseeds to the bird.recommended to go at morning or evening.at the sunny day the bird not active.
quite a lot of birds here. nice walkaway to enjoy taking photos of the birds.however, they dont allow you to bring your own treats for the bird, but the bird treats are pretty expensive over there.overall nice experience. I actually felt that its worth it.
Small, but Good place for family to enjoy with birds. Not so crowded and reasonable price. Parking free. Parents should always take care of your children, as a bird may bite your children.
Small park but worth it. We can inreract with the birds directly. Very educational.
Not a bad place. Ideal for children n dont forget buy food for birds to feed.
Yes,Good bird park, enjoyed & can view quite a number of different kind of species of bird.
Nice open air bird park, though space is not as big as expected. For me as amateur photographer, is nice park for live birds photographing !
Beautiful bird. The place quite small but its enough. Not too people coming during my visit probably due to it business hiur stated "Closed" in Google Map..
