It’s not hyperbole to say that Macelleria is our favorite “new” business discovery of the last year. Phillip and his team are friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to share lots of ideas and ways to better enjoy the meats from their great butcher shop. It’s a highlight of our shopping week to visit, and they have ruined us from getting meats anywhere else. Once you try the quality from Macelleria you won’t be happy with supermarket choices any longer. Highly recommended! Shop small and support local businesses!

I moved to Columbus about 2 years ago from the bay area and i am moving back there in September. MACELLERIA is the one place I am truly going miss, with the exception of friends. My grandparents lived in south Philadelphia close to the Italian district, on Saturday i would go with my grandmother to shop for Sundays supper. We would buy fruits and vegetables from the vegetable shop, fish from the fish monger, desserts from the local bakery, cheese from Degornos cheese market, and finally to the Italian meat market for the centerpiece of the meal. I thought those days were over, replaced by supermarkets. Macellerias took me back to those bygone days. Their meat is amazing, service impeccab,le. I called them for a beef roast,and some cold cuts, mortadello, procuitto, Capacolla. Amazing ! The beef roast was the best that Ive had for years, primo food, nothing else to say except Manga!!!!!

I have been looking for a great butcher that has everything I need for YEARS, this place is incredible. Its super clean, the customer service is superb, and the meat is local and the quality is amazing! They have cuts here that I havent been able to find since I lived in a rural, farm town. I even got a few of the sauces, some chimichuri and a few other items and they were all so good!!I love the selection they have and I will absolutely be buying all my meat here from now on! Exciting to find a one stop shop for all my needs!

We got some spare rib burgers, cowboy ribeyes and ribeyes for a special dinner with my in laws. So very good! Very helpful since we werent sure what we wanted, just knew we wanted to do something fun and out of the ordinary for us. Havent had the house beer brats yet but looking forward to them!

I can’t say a lot about their butcher service but I am sure it is wonderful. All I know is that I got one of the yummiest burgers here for lunch today. Wow. It was unique with the pesto sauce which sounded interesting and ended up being amazing. Couldn’t wait to tell my friends and family about it so they can visit and support small businesses! 🤩 looking forward to seeing future menu items since they change weekly

Purchased my turkey here this year. It didnt disappoint. The meat and broth from pieces and parts was so tasty. Made a great gravy. I also get my eggs here. Even my 15 yr old granddaughter can tell how much better the local farm fresh eggs with beautiful orange yolks taste so much better. I just discovered Macelleria a short time ago after moving to Bexley. Everything tastes so good. including their chuck roasts and steaks.

Get the steak sandwich when they offer it-- incredible tasting, and even better value for the price!

Simply the best, amazing people and some of the best meat I have ever had.

Definitely the place to go if youre looking for high prices, surly attitudes, "accidental" overcharges and meat on the precipice of spoilage.

The takeout meals are legit. From the fresh pasta dishes to the burger (for $10 its a stealits all amazing. Really friendly customer service too!!!

I called in and asked for 2 dry aged ribeye steaks to be held for me... walked in... he remembered My Name (RC), assured me that Im buying the real deal, I grabbed a couple short rib burgers (I cant wait to try). But the 45 day dry aged steak cannot be explained except by "The Real Deal" I absolutely loved it! I wish theyd do the all beef sausage in lamb casing... I felt welcomed appreciated... I will be back

Amazing selection of meats. Really nice cuts. Very good flavor. Very fair prices. The customer service was overwhelming. They make sure younare taken care of and are very eager to help you. There are a vast selection of cuts that are hard to find in the grocery store and the quality is deeply admirable.

Best place to get meat in town hands down. Everything Ive had has been exceptional. My only suggestion would be to add gator meat.

Great service and a delicious steak. Only down grade is I paid $35 for a porterhouse and it was more of a T-bone steak. The fillet was pretty tiny and T-bone like.

Amazing! A true big-city gem in Bexley. We got the ribeye and some pancetta. Fresh and delicious. Super quality meat. Everyone else who has been has been happy as well. I like that they have a large variety of different types of meats including deli meats. Friendly staff and sparkling clean interior.

Great choices of steaks, chops, roasts, and unique fare. So far we’ve tried the dry-aged NY strips and braciole. Both were phenomenal. The owners are very accommodating and helpful. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Parking is easy. Bexley is very fortunate to have this business in town.

Great addition to Bexley and the East side. Have been in twice since they opened. First time for flat iron steaks which were super tender, flavorful and recommended by the owner. Had to come back for the house made sausage (and a few filetsbecause they were sold out the first visit. Great quality, fair prices and knowledgeable staff. Happy to support small and local!

Great selection of fresh beef, pork and poultry - cheeses and deli meats, too. The homemade bolognese sauce was scrumptious!

Wow. This placed just opened and is great. We totally needed this in Bexley. I had a tri-tip roast and it was honestly the best I’ve had. So tender. They source from a local Ohio farm so I think the freshness also made a huge difference. They also have specialty cuts ans prepared meats and sausages you can’t get anywhere else. Check it out! (full disclosure: they have had a soft opening for the past few weeks as they prepared the space and I stopped in. I purchased a tri-trip before today. I have no financial interest in the store.).

I went with a friend on Saturday afternoon, the service was great! She purchased some corned beef and was extremely happy with the flavor & price. The ribeyes I purchased were flavorful!

Prices are clearly displayed and are commensurate with other high-end grocers. The meat is of the highest quality and is locally sourced. The wild boar sausage was amazing! Well be having the filets tonight, and I suspect they will be as good as the side of lobster mac were getting from The Barn. So excited to return and get baby-back ribs!! Keep up the advertising. Oh, one helpful suggestion: CHARCUTERIE and rare cheeses, would really prevent me from ever going anywhere else; also take a look at The Butcher and Grocer in Westerville—they’re excellent at business and provisions. There is absolutely no shame in selling garlic, fresh herbs, or anything else that can make your meat shine, it also will make you money. Keep to the vision though. High end meat and locally sourced stuff.

I’m curious how you cook your tri-tip roast. They opened at noon and you posted that you cooked and ate a roast from there at 12:15. Weird

My husband and I just had the most delicious ribeye steak from Bexley’s brand new meat shop, Macelleria East Side Butchery. Tender! Flavorful! Fresh! I suspect we’ll become more carnivorous now that Macelleria has opened. They take all Covid precautions: Curbside pickup available, 6-foot designations on the floor, and masks required.
