Exhibits focused on nature & conservation along with an outdoor amphitheater & educational programs.
Was visiting my brother and family and we went here and did all the trails which was absolutely beautiful, seen a lot of wildlife. The next day we came back and went inside the nature center building; the staff was very friendly, the place was clean and the animals are cute. A lot of cool info on animals.
Staff is knowledgeable and kind. Grounds are well-maintained!
I got to see someFlorida Scrub Jays. They are endangered, with a total population estimated somewhere between 7,700 to 9,300 . This is a must see.Beautiful educational center. All of the displays are interactive, and built to scale,so that children can view and participate on their own. Beautiful.
We will have to return again as the environment al center is closed on Mondays. Nice butterfly garden and trail in back. Trails are not paved. Just mentioned this as I had a person that needs assistance with walking with me and this would have been beneficial to know for me.
One of the few "real" attractions in Deltona, a city absurdly referred by local officials as the "city on the go". Where a bedroom community goes is beyond me! Sounds like one of George Carlins oxymoron examples that can be shuttered along with "military intelligence". "City on the Go " give me a break. The officials are more concerned about city coffers than substantive change. No imagination.
✨Great Service, Staff Is So Nice! ✨ The Trails Are Great And So Is The Area. The Ladies Who Work There Are Great At There Job And They Are So Informative-. 🌺 They Are So Kind When You Have Questions, Best Staff Ever.🌺 I Believe They Should Get A Raise
Surprised at how friendly the birds were. The visitor center was very interesting.
Eco buggy your was amazing thank you to Trey Melissa and Danielle very informative and beautiful!
Love the Blue Jays there
I love everything Lyonia Environmental Center does for conservation. The scrub jay education and Jay Watch programs are necessary for the survival of the species. Thank you 1000 times over! Staff is always friendly and more than willing to educate people on native plants and animals.
Hiking, birding and books! The environmental center is full of hands on activities for kids and adults. There are many trails to stroll along and to encounter our spectacular and friendly Scrub Jays. You can only see them in Florida. The Library is next door to enjoy a quiet corner for book lovers.
Cool little environmental learning center
Great trails and photography opportunities u8
Friendly staff waiting to answer questions, fun displays.
Great trail system. Its an oasis in built-up Deltona. Even on the shortest trail with a 3y/o we saw two endangered Scrub Jays.
Very informative and the kids seemed to really enjoy it.
Great day at the Wildlife Festival. Plenty of activities and things to do for all ages.
I love this center. Ive taken a few classes at the center over the years. The interactive section is quite wonderful and educational. There are a few live animals kept on site, too.
This place is really cool. They have live exhibits as well as interactive fun exhibits. I highly recommend taking your kids here. I like to learn about new things and see new things so this was right up my alley.
Amazing nature center and great short flat hikes. Perfect for young kids.
Grands were amazed at all the creatures.
Lyonia is wonderful, but very hot, and dry. Come prepared, bring plenty of water, no matter what. Florida Scrub Jays can be seen here, which are extremely threatened by ongoing habitat loss.
Just went to early voting. Long lines
It was great, I voted early!!!!! Go Blue!!!!!
Came here today to VOTE DEM! I was no 997 casting by 10:55am.
Wonderful fun atmosphere. The walk on Saturday Mornings is refreshing closer to fall. Noah was a wonderful host and so upbeat. Thank you for a fun experience.
Did outer part of trails not marked but has a ton of hills awesome work out. I think it is about a 3 mile hike it took me 75 mins.
We spent so much time here! You can learn so much and have a really great day with your kids!
Great information on the local wildlife.
Great place to learn about why different things are important to the environment. Has few reptiles for the kids to look at. Ladies that run the place are also very nice and pleasant to approach. Something educational to do on a hot day.
Lyonia, in conjunction with the Deltona Public Library, provides a number of interactive displays for adults and children, highlighting the area wildlife and ecological concerns. There are also outside trails through the scrub habitat where the subjects of the inside displays can be experienced firsthand. The center also has live presentations by experts about many of the creatures and elements of Lyonia, presented either in the inside auditorium or the outside amphitheater. During the summer, there is a day camp for elementary age children.
This place is amazing! Young or old can learn and enjoy!
Educational fun! Very authentic to Florida Wildlife and some cool Exotics too :-)
This center is beautiful. Everyone greets you when you walk in. All the animals are clean, fed, and happy. The saltwater tank is clear and glows blue. All the fish and crabs are always happy and healthy. The alligators are my favorite!
Love this. My kids love coming to the library and then here to see and learn about all the reptiles they have
Went for the scrub Jay festival and it was great, super for the kids to see and learn, plus they could paint rocks with Marsha. Take an Eco-buggy ride with Trey. Had a great time 👍👍
I volunteer here every week and love everyone and everything there!
Love this place world recommend it to any one with kids and nothing to do fun hands on animal experience.
Great place to take the kids and learn something about nature in Florida
I am so happy and proud of the Deltona Library and Lyonia Enviro Center. It is the most rewarding visit to learn, touch, and experience. My great nephews 5 years and 13 years old stayed almost 4 hours without wanting to leave. Plesse go yourself and take kids.
Very educational. Great place with library attached
I run the trails in the preserve several days a week, barefoot. Nice rolling, hilly terrain.Very quiet. No pets. Sand trails and service roads. Can easily get 6 miles without doubling .
Small but well done nature center and well kept trails. Got to see the Florida Scrub Jay. Will definitely return for a longer hike. Make sure you bring water!
Great free education trip next to the library
