Lydmar Hotel in Stockholm

There is no question this is a five-star hotel! The staff are amazing and courteous! Each and every one of them was pleasant and helpful. I want to give special thanks to Danielle who went over and beyond to make sure that my stay was comfortable in first class! I want a special thanks to go to her! Im sad after 10 days to be departing tomorrow. I will miss all the nice people that Ive met.

Magical. Great staff, great rooms. Modern without losing the feeling that it out are being taken care of.

We stayed this summer and were astonished at the service! Marcus was the most helpful friendly and accommodating fellow and we will be back again because of his efforts! Also the patio DJs (two guys switching outwere legit party rockers and the vibe was next level!

Very nice place to grab a drink or two after work. Fantastic location with great views.In the summer this place is soaked in sun, which is nice, but can get pretty hot too :)If you plan to stay the night, you would need to book in advance. Its a boutique hotel so not that many rooms. But they all have the highest standards. The food is also very good, the options are the main restaurant or the back terrace to choose from. Live DJ as well after work. Gets very crowded quicky.

Great hotel, clean, quiet and comfortable

Staff is great. They are personable, knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. The hotel is located centrally to everything in Stockholm. The rooms are decorated nicely and comfortable. The hotel has an energetic cool vibe. I highly recommend staying here for anyone visiting Stockholm.

Great location and polite staff

Our impression of the hotel is the staff, super nice, friendly, and helpful, can’t remember all the names but Sara, Marcus, Anelka, Carl, the Cuban guy (sorry can’t remember the name), all of them were super nice.The hotel is very nice, boutique cosy style. The beds are very comfy, and the showers are great. The location is excellent, close to the center (but quiet), walking distance, and in front of the lake.

fabulous place to stay...best location to reach everything on foot or bike...vibrant atmosphere with cool people and lots of happenings...rooms are all individually decorated...5th floor has a lounge with turntable where you can run your own party...services top as well as food and drinks...high recommendation for a weekend stay...would always go there again.

Incredible hotel near the center of Stockholm.

Have stayed here and dined here on separate occasions. Really love the home vibe in the restaurant. Food is great & the cocktails are tasty.Staff are helpful and nice.Rooms and decor are cosy but trendy.The only slight negative is that the gym is not in the building so there is a short walk across the road to the Grand Hotel gym - this is a great gym however so not too much of an issue. Just not fun if it’s wintertime and snowing!Highly recommend staying here and LOVE that there are dog friendly hotel rooms!

I was expecting a better service for my car, I also would have liked if someone helped me with my bags. Overpriced for a five star if you ask me.

Another great SLH hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, cool vibe not too posh, good restaurant.Loved the hotel interior decoration, the acces to the grand hotel gym and spa. Will definately consider booking here again

Reasonably priced and medioker dinner, served in a stuffed living room atmosphere.A large menu and dirty glassware, that was quickly changed by the friendly staff.

Like millions of other travelers, Covid prevented us not only from a July cruise, but we are barred by EU and Swedish law from any visit during the summer, even if we had wanted to risk our lives to do so. Notwithstanding, the Lyndmar refused to refund our $$ (claiming correctly, that in normal times, our room was non-refundable), even though numerous other hotel chains, airlines, restaurants, etc, all of which could argue the same, have refunded our money and earned out loyalty for times when all of us can hit the road again. Shame on this property. Travelers should avoid this year and the next.

Nice place with a good sea view!Very well planned seating because of the covid-19.I would not recommend the aperol-pitcher, the pitcher was not a proper pitcher, just a small karaffe, you will get a lot more when buying separate glasses!

Very Nice Hotel.... They take advantage of the COVID-19 to not reimburse their customer and the reason mentioned is to stay alive... They forget that the reason they are open is they had customers that also are in today in difficult situation and dont want to lose 300 EUR+ for a night

Great service and fantastic rooms. Love the individual style of each different room and the personal touch from the front desk staff. The restaurant is fantastic as well with a good variation of the menu

We went here for dinner with friends. Atmosphere was cozy and friendly. Every furniture comfortable which is a big plus. Food was OK. Service was OK. But not sure if I am going back for a while. I think the WOW factor was missing as well as some more personalised service. For the price tag, it is not worth it...

This is beautiful hotel in a beautiful city. The staff has, so far, been amazing. The rooms are all a bit different, but well appointed. But it doesn’t feel like a hotel, just a grand house, a house you can call home.

We had a great time at the bar. Wonderful atmosphere and the service was excellent. Made us feel at home. Beautiful. A special thanks to Javier our Cuban brother from another mother.

Ive stayed at +40 hotels in Sweden and in most *****s in Stockholm. Lydmar is the best choice of stay in Stockholm and undisputedly the best hotel in Sweden. This is manifested in part by the large international clientele they host. (To be honest, Sweden is well below the international level when it comes to high end establishments so much easier to stand out than in most other developed countries.)This rather small, chic yet informal boutique hotel makes a perfect stay for business travelers or couples (not very kids friendly to be honest). Located perfectly in front of the Royal castle, its close to downtown but still in a tucked away and calm surrounding.Service is personal, polite yet friendly informal and level high with the exception being the breakfast staff who try their best but doesnt meet the expectation level or matching the front desk / other departments. For example, first the bacon and later Greek youghurt ran out and when I asked the staff they said they will order more from the kitchen. If you are on top of things, you order before it runs out, not after. Small things but still important when you aspire to deliver a high end hotel experience.

Had a very upsetting experience with the Lydmar hotel.Due to illness my wife and I were unable to make our booking to stay. Their cancellation policy says you have to pay the full amount if you cancel under 24 hrs in advance.I can see how this works for the hotel but not for the customer? I dont think customers are deliberately booking hotels then cancelling at the last minute, and it would be generally a major problem that would stop them going as it was for us, so why should the customer cover the cost?In other industries a deposit is common and I could have understood a £50-£100 deposit, bit to pay £290 for something we did not even get to experience is sickening. Its like a car dealer saying you have to pay the full amount for the a car upfront and if you dont pick it up on the exact day you said you cant have it but still have to pay.Their reasoning is their occupancy rates but that is not my problem. If their focus was really on the customer and not on covering their downside I feel like they would have much fewer 1 star reviews on here...To make it worse they argue with you over email, as if it makes it OK they are charging me for goods and services I did not use because it is in their terms and conditions.Very disappointed.Would never stay here on principle.

Unbeatable location, amazing view (from 501), massive bed, spacious room, superb breakfast, great buzz in the restaurant/bar but the best thing about the hotel is the staff. Bright, personable, genuine and warm.

Stayed at Lydmar hotel with my family and we had a the wonderful stay.The hotel is very well located in the centre of city near the harbour just a few minutes walk everywhere. Our rooms were exceptionally clean and welcoming. Food was great and they have a very reasonable breakfast in the morning with a wonderful selection of juices, breads and cheese. The staff is very friendly and helpful at all times.Would definitely recommend and go back there!

Possibly the best fish Ive ever had. Good service and nice selection of drinks. Perfect for a summers day or winters night.

Hip, charming hotel with large rooms, eclectically furnished. Great staff! And a terrific restaurant too. Perfect location to get around, walk, grab a taxi, boat or bus tour, or metro - it’s all there, but the Lydmar is far enough off the main drag that it’s very quiet.

PROS: The location is great, the design concept underlying the hotel and the rooms is fabulous. The breakfast is sumptuous, served in what looks like a library.CONS: Some of the rooms have nice views, some look out on parking lots and construction sites. The hotel employees were not at all pro-active in solving a big problem with the room (no heat), so three of the four nights were a disaster. Though the director tried to make amends on the last day, it was by then too late to convince me that this is real 5-star service.

Wonderful spot to make your home base as you explore the city. On the waterfront, taxis for land and sea are right out the front door. Bar scene was hopping in the evenings, central to a number of attractions we wanted to see. Staff was very accommodating, rooms are large and well appointed.

One of Stockholms best restaurants. Great menu, great location and fantastic venue. Make sure you sit on the second floor terrace though.

One of the nicest places to have lunch in Stockholm, especially in summer. Food is good but the location is fantastic, as is the atmosphere. The staff is not very friendly though and must improve.

Awful service. Bad words and energy from the staff in the restaurant. My wife was sick and I asked for steamed vegetables and she looked as I was from mars. So arrogant. A five star hotel with 1 star personal service
