Lurie Garden in Gary

We came across this nice little garden in the middle of Millennium Park while walking around the area. It has a large amount of flowers, plants, and trees.

Just an average garden in a great setting.

This is a must when visiting Chicago. There were a few obvious things I saw when I visited, and one of them is the citys respect for nature and desire to weave it into the city--I love that! The Lurie Garden is truly one of the most delightful parts of Millennium Park.

What an amazing hidden little gem!! Beautiful wildflowers with plenty of benches for when you want to just sit and relax. Bee aware that there are plenty of pollinators buzzing about, but all of them are busy on the flowers, so not a single one even cared that we were walking right next to them.

Amazing bout of green space and native flowers within the already beautiful city of Chicago. Green space is good for mental clarity! Visit more gardens !

Just beautiful! Have walking paths and water running along them. They were under construction when we went, buy so beautiful. Right in the middle of Millenium Park. Good place to sit and relax or have a bite to eat if you have food.

What a great place. It is one of the most mordern and urban gardens i have ever seen. If you like plants and biodiversity this is a must see place. It makes Chicago even better.

A splendid little garden in the middle of Millennium Park. It has a large amount of flowers, plants, and trees. It’s fun to see the butterflies and bees on the flowers. If you have a green thumb, I would recommend coming here. I could spend hours here enjoying the flowers and trees here.

Extremely beautiful ,full of greenery and flowers , this garden is an absolute delightful to walk around …. So relaxing and zen moments, one can write a book siting under those lush green trees

Lovely garden in Millennium Park. We walked around waiting for the Museum to open.

This was a very picturesque area of the park with plenty of flowers to enjoy. Lots of people were using the area as a background to their pictures, but I found it to be a nice peaceful area to relax and just enjoy the scenery.

Such beautiful garden! I visited in the late spring of 2017 and love it! The prairie wildflowers and butterflies are amazing.

There werent a lot of plants blooming yet but there was a fox with their kid though

I thought that the Lurie Garden was supposed to be beautiful!I was not prepared for the brown dried up dead mess that I saw last week.An embarrassment to the city.The design is not working, plant some flowers!

Despite being to Chicago and Millennium Park many times now, I had no idea this gem of a garden existed tucked away behind the tall hedges. Such a beautiful and serene walk that features great views both of city and nature.

A Midsummers Afternoon In July displays seasonal flora and living fauna at the Lurie Garden.

Surrounded by very tall hedges, this garden in the Millennium Park is a gem and a must see attraction. Most people just flock to the Bean and are not aware of the garden. The garden is ever changing. Every 3 weeks a new group of flowers are blooming. Prairie plants grow along side more exotic plants. The color combination is always pleasing. Whoever designed it must be a genius. We enjoy the garden so much that we visit there almost every week.

It’s so beautiful garden flowers especially has so many kind of flowers! I went there in midsummer it was so many butterflies, bee and another insects. I wish I wanted to go there again!

Well maintained gardens with gorgeous flowers. Has security and is close enough to the pavilion that you can enjoy the music without being in the crowd.

A beautiful oasis across from the Art Institute. Many flowers are in bloom and the whole area is very well maintained and cared for.

All the spring flowers are in bloom, and this place is beautiful! You can smell the narcissus, as their fragrance fills the air. A mallard bathed in the stream and looked expectantly at the people on the boardwalk; eventually some folks came with bread and the duck had his snack.

The most beautiful place in the city of Chicago. You are missing something if you have not been here.

A fabulous, magnificent, and beautiful garden in the heart of downtown Chicago is worth more than any wonder which one can build. Just a small hideaway with steps away from the famous Cloud Gate, it could lead to a whole new world that anyone could hardly imagine. There was a small stream for the visitor to rest the feet and relax and float in water. Although Millennium Park is a must go place in Chicago, the hidden gem Lurie Garden is no entirely any less than that.

Beautiful public garden

The Lurie Garden is a nice spot to wander around and decompress after a show in the Pritzker Pavilion or some time in the Art Institute. It tends to be lower-key and quieter than the surrounding areas, and its not as attractive to tourists, so its a calming, beautiful little spot.

This garden is so beautiful for people to visit and take pictures. Do you know by the original design that the flower beds should contain 26,000 perennial plants in 250 varieties!

Beautiful example of an urban garden with native plants and serene atmosphere with amazing (and differentskyscrapers in the background. It gets very crowded during weekends and holidays.

Along with the Pritzker pavilion and Maggie Daley park, this area has some pretty neat spaces. The Lurie garden provides a nice steering for city photos, and has provides enough seclusion for a quick lunch break or to read a book.

A brilliant urban oasis! The boardwalk and water feature, perfect for dipping ones toes in on a hot day, is truly a hidden gem. An absolute must for anyone passing through Millennium Park. Didnt want to leave after lazing away for awhile in the water, and strolled down the remaining boardwalk barefoot as my feet dried in an attempt to hold onto the moment.

Love this part of Chicago, they have a nice stream where you can dip your feet into. Beautiful planets and flowers overlooking the skyscrapers. Right in between busy roads, but the foliage acts as sound absorbers, giving you a moment of peace and quiet in the busy city.

The best public garden in the city. A really great collection of native plants aside a boardwalk and water feature. Tends to get crowded in the summer afternoons.
