Regional Tex-Mex chain known for its homemade tortillas & variety of margaritas.
I so love Lupe Tortillas. I think their Beef Fajita meat is the best anywhere. I like getting the Taco Salad with the beef fajita meat with the poblano ranch dressing. Delicious. And the beans they serve as a dip with their chips is so unique and tasty. I go back again and again and ...
Love the great food served on the patio. Next time Im having flan first--its heavenly.
Our server Troy was very attentive. The food was delicious, service was great and fulfilling. The marinade carne was awesome, I would go back just for that!
Dang this place was amazing. This was my first time at this place, and I was recommended the fajita plates. They were so good. I got the beef & chicken with flour tortillas and it was amazing. The waiter was amazing and he was always there when we needed him. When we were ready to leave, he was quick and efficient. Overall an awesome experience and delicious food, definitely will go again.
Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Awesome service. Will definitely go back. If you like Mexican food its a 10/10.
Best Mexican Restaurant around because of Carlos, our waiter. Great service and food.
Was seated outside in the patio and waited for 7 minutes without any service, water or anything. The hostess had a RBF face. Horrible service! Walked out and left.
This is a treat. Excellent tasting food, pleasant and happy employees. Prompt service. Go early. Will go everytime an opportunity presents.
Awesome . . My wife and I love their fajitas. They also make a good margarita.. well see you next time.
Good food and large portions which seems pretty rare in todays world Margaritas were very good and generous in size. The service is also Fast and Friendly. I would definitely be go back!
The food is amazing, casual yet quality atmosphere. Definitely great for any day, they even have vegetarian options.
Such a nice date night with my husband. The food are awesome. The service is great and attentive!
We love coming here. The queso, beef fajitas and skinny margaritas are amazing. We’ve always found the service to be okay, be never “above and beyond”.Tonight we were served by Destinee and she blew the service out of the water. We were impressed by how well served a family of six with little kids.I hope Destinee gets the recognition she deserves. We will be requesting her from now on!
Our waitress Taylor was wonderful, food was delicious. 75 minute wait, but was worth the time.
Your waitress destiny is an excellent worker. As she waits tables she is scanning all her tables to make sure no one is in need of anything. She works at the Shenandoah location. She deserves a raise. Ive never seen a waitress do this before.
Really liked the service. Our waiter, Noah was top notch. He was very attentive to our table and gave us great service. The o lyrics reason for the 4 star was the prices. I felt they were too high.I will return.
I am very disappointed in a hostess I had. My friends and I have a limited time for our lunch break, and Claudia told us that there would be a 15 minute wait. We waited for at least 15 minutes and then we finally got taken back. When we were taken back we noticed that there were at least 10 empty tables. We had a big group and spent a lot of money, but were treated so poorly by the hostess that we didn’t feel like our business or our time frame mattered. We will not be returning, especially during our lunch break.
Get it together Lupe! I am so over this place. Lately it seems like every time I order I get home and I am missing half the food. Flautas meal but they only gave me a spoon of rice and 4 burnt cold chicken flautas. Where was the sides of quac/sour cream, queso? For what you guys charge for the food it could at least be edible Lupe you desperately need some quality control in your woodlands restaurant. I will have to give my business for work and personal orders to another Restaurant that makes a better effort! SO VERY VERY Disappointed! This was not just a one time concern this has happened numerous times, I was just hoping your would get it together. Your not even trying anymore!!
Great service and great food. Anything beef fajita is delicious. The ensalada verde salad is the best.
Love their hot pinto bean and jalapeño dip and their spicy salsa and chips. One of the best items I love are the green chili enchiladas with white melted cheese-either cheese ones or chicken with rice and beans…awesome. But my oldest son loves the red enchiladas, rice and beans and my youngest 17 year old loves the chicken quesadillas. If you ever try the Steak Lupe or Chicken Lupe, it’s delicious too. You can’t go wrong washing them all down with a tasty margarita or a beer either. Tip: If it’s packed with lines, go straight to the bar. You can skip the lines and eat on the high top tables there or even at the bar (though I would certainly order a drink to keep the bartender happy!).
Dont go for brunch. Food was sad. Had the chilequilles, that were very dry and the beef and egg taco, that was mostly tortilla. The orange margarita was very bitter. I will stick to lunch and dinner. The regular house margaritas and fajitas are good.
I wish I could give this place anything lower than a 1 star. Terrible food. I have never had such worse Mexican food anywhere. We ordered take out. Confused why this place has so many good reviews? Portions size for the price is not worth it. Flautas tasted old, dried out hard as a rock, chicken rubbery, no taste. Menu says Jack cheese in the flautas but not in our order. Nachos, literally a couple chips with black beans and dried up cheese. It’s supposed to come with chicken, jalapeños, pico de gallo. Literally got none of these things. No chicken! These definitely weren’t nachos. Enchilada also tasted rubbery and old. It’s supposed to come with Queso, guacamole sour cream, didn’t get anything with this. Spicy crispy chicken tacos weren’t any good either. The piece of chicken was two inches long in a 8 inch long tortilla. It’s supposed to come with a sauce, but no sauce given to us. The Pablo patron, tasted terrible, no sides again in our order. No braised beef either just cheese. The Pablo PatronSpicy Crispy Chicken TacosChicken FlautasFajitas Nachos con PablanosWorst food ever. Steer clear! Will never come here ever again.
We shared beef and shrimp fajitas and added quail. It was a bit overcooked, but will keep us coming back over and over is the customer service. We had a great time and foresee many more visits.
When here for lunch with a friend. I must have offended the bar tended (I was complaining about the roads in Houston to my friendbecause he offered me a cup of liquid, supposedly "tea from the other side of the restaurant" I tried it, and noticed that the cup was filthy. It tasted like thick syrup and dirt. I have no idea what this was, nor why it was offered to me. I have been feeling sick for two days now. No customer should ever be treated this way.
For the first time in 15 years, The beef fajitas were not spectacular...there was very little, if any famouus lime pepper marinate flavor. I sincerely hope this was an anomaly and they havent change their marinate recipe.
I had my birthday dinner with my family and everything was amazing, as usual. Lupe is my fave Tex-Mex place and the service and food is always the best! Our waiter Tyrone was OUTSTANDING! He was attentive, enthusiastic and entertaining throughout dinner. The manager came by the table to greet us and to make sure our food was up to par. This place is consistent when it comes to their food and their service! Their fajitas and HUGE tortillas are the BEST!
Normally we are huge fans of Lupe Tortilla. However, today we waited almost an hour to get a seat then over 45 minutes to get our food. By the time it came no one was hungry. I realize it’s Fathers Day but pretty poor service. The least they could of done was, let us know up front it was 45 minutes to an hour to get food and we could of decided if we wanted to order or leave.
Love the fajitas. Great atmosphere. Love bean dip. Always try to hit this place when in the Woodlands. Great food, great service, but will be busy, ex pect a wait at peak times. I recommend the fajitas, as well as the carne asada. My mother enjoyed the shrimp fajitas as well. My plate of carne asada looks a bit empty because I cut rice & beans due to my low carb diet, fyi.
We had eaten at this Lupe Tortilla a handful of times before the pandemic. The food was fine but the family all agreed that the taste, although good, wasnt as good as one would expect for the prices they charge. The portions always seemed smaller than other restaurants. The fajita meat is good, but there are a lot of other places where its a lot better. We will continue to stop by here a couple of times a year to keep our Tex-Mex restaurant rotation interesting.
This was our 1st time going to this location & overall my 3rd time eating at Lupe Tortilla. There was a 1½ - 2hr wait due to it being Mothers Day. But our waiter Rosalio took decently care of our party of 9 he just forgot to refill our chip baskets.
Although I like the food of the chain this specific location has extremely bad door and table set up service. 3 Girls at reception, doing nothing, rude and impolite, with no interest on the customer. I don’t understand why they call it welcoming reception 😁and don’t care about the customer or how to help to a table. That is why I give 2 stars. Food quality isn’t enough when where you go to spend your money they make you feel unwelcome or ignore you at the entrance and where you are seated is as dirty as in a stable.
Our waiter was awesome. The fajitas were the best Ive ever had. Loved the atmosphere. It was a bit pricey.
First time at Lupe Tortilla and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! We were served family style with several trays of fajitas center table on a raised rack accompanied by large, shareable bowls of beans & rice. Multiple condiments/taco toppings trays were made available throughout tables. Drinks were huge and very, very good! (Party of 30 btw and great service still)
We come to Lupe pretty frequently, actually. My wifes favorite fajitas! Had the Carne Asada and Eggs for brunch this past weekend. Plate is plentiful for sure. Everything was cooked well, especially the eggs (perfect over medium- for this plate in particular, wed say the fajita style beef (or marinade/seasoningwould work best. Also - personally would have preferred the charro beans served with lunch/dinner over the refritos because theyre so flavorful (we didnt ask, but will next time!- and I can say that this location is really great about ensuring you are satisfied with meal and service consistently. Definitely a recommended establishment 👍
The waiter was so accommodating that he guided me what to eat even the recommended/bestselling ones. Their foods were so good. I would definitely go back. 🍀💕
The food here is really good. What others may consider sides or apps, they give to you as condiments, to serve with their tortilla chips. Great menu choices, & good portions.
Wow. We love Mexican food, this is one of our favs, hadn’t been back in years. There is always a wait, but I can understand why.I love love love the fact that there is a separate vegetarian menu. Side note- you need to get the spinach and artichoke enchiladas!Service was good, our water and chips were always full. Food came out in a good time. Will be going back!
Super yummy! Great happy hour. Their salsa was tasty and not to spicy and the bean salsa was really good as well. At happy hour you get a free small bowl of queso. I mixed the bean salsa with the red salsa and the queso and the mix was superb. The grilled quail appetizer was perfectly seasoned and cooked. I almost got another one. Their house margaritas perfectly complimented the food. Julio was very personable and addressed me by name which was excellent service, I have not receives anywhere else. Such a great restraunt!
I have always loved this restaurant but for this visit the service was horrible. We were forgotten while our drinks remained empty and our appetizer never came. Our meal was finally served after we waved down another tables waitress. This was around 2 pm on a weekday and not at all busy in the restaurant.
This location was awesome!!! We had dinner on the patio and it was absolutely perfect. Gluten free items on the menu, server was not aware of gluten free information, but she asked the kitchen and was able to answer my questions. Food was delicious- enchiladas are safe for gluten free.
Its been 7 years that Lupe got into my top 3 Tex-Mex chain places and lever left, competing strongly for number 1, for sure. Everything is tasty, fresh and arrives very quickly to the table. Very spicy imo but still so good. Recommend their fajitas, green enchiladas (spicy), guac and queso composto.
There really is something to be said about customer service. This review is not really about the food. We ordered the ribs and they came out a tad tough. We told our server and in a matter of seconds out came Rigo. He was sincere, attentive, and understanding. He immediately took care of the problem. He took the time to sit n chat with us. Chat really is not the right word for someone that took the time to try and get to know us. It may have been only 12 minutes but it personally meant something to my friend and to me. My friend said that this was one of the best customer service experiences of "how to handle a problem" that he has witnessed. My friend is over 70, well traveled, and eats out for every meal. For him to say this, big kudos to you Rigo. May God always keep you and your family safe.I will say that i have always enjoyed going to Lupes other location. First time to this one but definitely not the last time.
It’s one another nice restaurant I visited recently. It is little bit on a expensive side but it was worth it. The quality of the food is great. We tried their chicken fajitas, shrimp cocktail, queso and chips. It was all worth it. I highly recommend this place.
The guacamole toast was a joke. I guess yall saving the guacamole for other meals..The potatoes were dry, and I had to rinse it down with coffee. The restaurant itself looks very nice! I would not return or recommended to others.
Sure, you come to Lupe for lunch and dinner... But OMG they do breakfast!!!A friend suggested meeting at Lupe for breakfast and I corrected them, "...you mean lunch"? NO! Breakfast! Well, ok - Ill bite. So we arrived at 9 am before anyone else and ordered a ton of food!Hay, carrumba! The food was beautiful and delicious! So now you know. Go to Lupe for breakfast instead of IHOP. You wont regret it.
It’s very consistent in keeping with the expectation of the Lupe’s chain. Service was great, area was clean, and the atmosphere was pleasant.I ordered the fajita beef burrito and found it to be delightful. The made from scratch tortilla really makes a difference for me. It doesn’t have that extra floury texture compared to the pre-package one you find at the market. The beef was tender and flavorful as well as being appropriately portioned. The rice was spot on. It wasn’t too dry or soggy. Definitely had a nice flavor to it as well. Similarly, the charro beans were equally great. I wasn’t disappointed in the meal at all.It is Lupe’s, so expect lunch to run you around the $20 range. It’s a bit pricey, but that is to be expected from the chain.
Fantastic food and service. Everything on the menu is fresh, flavorful, juicy, and steaming hot. In addition to the normal chips and salsa to get you started, you get bowls of beans (somewhere between refried and soup). Every entre is then provided with appetizing style, and in generous portions. There are many large areas for seating, so it doesnt feel crowded. The service was friendly and fast. Highly recommend.
Short wait for a Sunday afternoon lunch. Leaving Galveston and heading to Dallas. Off of I-45 north and next to Red Robin. Not inexpensive and in a fun atmosphere.Front desk wasnt too friendly but got us seated within about 10 minutes for a party of 4. They use text messaging to let you know when your table is ready. Our waitress was really great and friendly. They do have pico de Gallo dip for $0.25 extra. Chips and regular salsa are free. Food was good and the portions were large. They do have a bar area and patio seating.
The fajitas are spectacular, especially if tortillas are your favorite part! These desserts were memorable too. Double Chocolate Praline Brownie a la Mode and Ice Cream Tacos anyone?!
I am very picky when it comes to my restaurant experiences, and I don’t judge just on the taste of the food. If the bathroom is clean, then it gives me hope on the cleanliness of service. The bathroom was very clean! And one of the employees was there with me. She washed her hands, opened the door with her foot and held it open for me. Huge points with me!! Then I had The Pablo😍 Not only is the food great, the portions were generous, and our waitress, Kendra, was very courteous and attentive. The entire staff was very friendly. Would recommend this establishment for a great evening out and great food. I also HIGHLY RECOMMEND the fajitas!
