Lungomare Opatija - Historical landmark in Rijeka, Croatia
Another slice of Croatian paradise on earth. Took 9ne star off because I wasnt expecting to walk on little rocks instead of sand into the water, but this is completely normal here. Also, eating and drink8ng here is pricey, but then, the views and the blue adriatic sea make up for it.
Good food and great service. Very enjoyable!
Beautiful City, wonderful old buildings and details 😍
Simple, but comfortable and clean rooms. Helpful and kind staff. Good location. Worth every penny.
Very pleasant walk along the elegant and laid back Opatijan seaside, with a nice view across the Adriatic on Krk island. The beaches are mainly concrete or stone but there is still a good choice of places to sunbathe or swim. During summer if you dont mind the sun pick any time until 4 pm. If you prefer shade come after 4 pm as Opatija has a very steep mountainside to the northwest - sunshine will be more bearable in the late afternoon.
Beautiful place to visit. Amazing views of the see and beautiful architecture.
Love Opatija my favorite place
Nice please. A lot of people. Many bar and restaurant.
Its a must see when in Opatija.
A beautiful walk thru Opatija.
Great place to walk. Many Germans XD
Nice place to visit!
Beautiful place with few beaches, mainly concrete.
no real beaches Here only concrete
Opatija is a Croatian coastal town on the Adriatic Sea. A fashionable resort in the 19th century, its dotted with Habsburg-era villas. The Lungomare is a promenade that snakes along the coastline, offering views of the town and neighboring islands. The 1800s Villa Angiolina, set in a garden of exotic plants, houses the Croatian Museum of Tourism. Parts of St. Jacob’s Church date from the 16th century.
Nice sea view walking area
Top!
Great place!
Great walk from Opatija to Lovran🤗if you do all those stairs it is about 8-9 km🤩great villas and nice people
I could walk all day on this promenade and I would always find something new and interesting.
Such a great stroll. 11 km long..Great for walking, runing and have those long life changing talks..next to the Mediteranian 😉
Absolutely stunning. Could spend days walking up and down this Lungomare. Dont miss the restaurants in Volosko
Beautiful place by the side of the ocean. Nice place to sit with a cup of coffee and cake
Lovely see side walk!
Scenic walk along the Opatija coast
Looking for a beautiful walk by the sea? Look no further. Stretched from old town Opatija to Opatija center some 5km. Very quiet and pleasant.
Very nice place. It looks like Italy.
Gorgeous walk along the coast from Opatija to Volosko. If you love an amble a walk along here is a lovely way to spend the day.
Picturesque place, reccomend to visit
Great Board walk with awesome views on the coastline. You can go a long way following the Lungomare and can plan a few hours of you wish to.
Love Opatia since I was a little kid!! It’s beautiful place to have a walk and relax with your loved ones. You can feel a relaxing energy what brings people smile on their face .
One of the best recreational walks from Opatija until Lovran. The fresh air and wonderful views of the bay can be enjoyed at all times of day the whole year around. The walk is well paved and easy walkable.
Perfect place for swimming and kids expecially for people who like urban beaches
Beautiful place, certainly worth the visit. One can have a nice walk along the beach ☺️There are many restaurants and we have seen a beach as well, but we just used the ones along the way where you can go down to the sea.
There arent any showers, the beach is really just plain concrete. One can barelly find a bin. When you look at the number of hotels and tourists in Opatija, it should look more like town beach in Rovinj.
One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Quite, calm, clean, full of green and exceptional view. All hotels are "old" but renovated, people warm and available for any info or advice. Food excellent. Do not miss restaurant Ruzmarin after the walk. I would recomend beaches that are around Opatija. Enjoy...
Have a walk there and enjoy Opatija Beachfront 🏝
Nice place. Worth to visit
The most romantic seaside alley!
Very nice walk scenary, nice beaches, restaurants, bars. Strongly recommend to visit if in Opatija.
Lungomare in Opatija is “must” walk when in Opatija! Very nice view on Opatija.
Pitoresque walking way with excellent view
Nice stroll along the Adriatic. Too cold to swim.
Very nice hotel.
I visited Opatija just after the Croatian war of Independence and the place I stayed in is now a bank, but the seafront is still the same and it was, and is, gorgeous. Although there were no tourists and everything was incredibly cheap when I was there, it still remains a wonderful place to visit.
Overcrowded and very popular in summer time, coastal town Opatija, called "The Pearl of Adriatic Sea" in a song, offers most specific atmosphere during cold winter evenings. Discretely illuminated by the full Moon, easily leads a random visitor to the feeling of some fairy, unreal world. The sound of waves and - during summer days - otherwise unreachable silence makes a scene worth to see and feel.
Beautiful park and nice exhebitions.
If you like to walk as I do this is a place to visit. Whole walking path from Volosko to Lovran through Opatija is absolutely gorgeous, in one direction is like 11 km - 2 h and 20 minutes of normal tempo. Beautiful, just beautiful ...
Its a nice seafront promenade, with historical landmarks, lots of kiosks, restaurants and hotels, casinos. Definitely worth visiting if your in Opatija. At some point the views are really beautiful, benches everywhere where you can sit and wait for the sunset.
Probably the most picturesque promenade on the Croatian Adriatic.Rich in history, its a must-see for every visitor.Filled with lush greenery and far enough from the noise of the traffic, it will provide you with a very pleasant strolling experience. It is 13 kilometres long, but it is worth choosing at least one section. If you start strolling from Volosko, you will see old stone houses, tiny rocky beaches with clear sea, which are a perfect swimming spot, and then as you reach Opatija, you will pass by historic villas and palaces from the time of Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, luxurious hotels, ports and marinas, famous Slatina beach, and then again into the lush greenery on the way to Ika and Lovran.
