I have no clue how Japanese food should taste. This was my first trial with Japanese cuisine & it was pretty decent. Foreigner friends vouch for it so am sure its quite authentic.You need to have a taste for this cuisine. Though 100% veg, it might taste quite different coz of seaweed.We went with the Tuesday special. The Miso soup was good & so was the Sushi, though frankly it was too different a taste for me to end it. DEFINITELY give this place a try if you have a taste for trying different cuisine. A beaten down place but we liked the vibe. Peaceful, calm & uncle was super nice with his hindi dialect. ❤

Some of the best Japanese food Ive had in the entire country. Miso soup was beyond delicious. Kakiage don was yumm. Loved the vibe of the place, super warm and cosy.

The good-Authentic Japanese food, very pocket friendly, portion sizes are large, very popular with foreigners, tarts/sourdough bread when available are great.The bad-The owner can be rude at times, ambience is a little run down, since the food is authentic Japanese (its made by a very sweet Japanese woman), it might not be to everyones taste (its not to mine), its also closed quite frequently.Overall, there are better Asian joints around. Hot yak near the main square and Jimmys Asian kitchen just 50m ahead of Lung Ta are much better experiences, mostly due to the friendliness of the hosts.

Great host. We missed the timings of the place, but the host offered us with lemon tart for free. We really were looking forward to have food here. Maybe next timeIt seems like a really authentic place to have good food. This I could guess from their lemon tart itself. Must visit in the given timings.

Hands down the best home style japanese food in all of India. The place is cosy, prices extremely pocket friendly. Uncle and Aunty makes to most amazing food. Tuesday and Friday are the Sushi day, and you will not get such amazing Sushi in 5-star Sushi kitchens. Please do yourself a favour and plan your visit to Lungta!

The tofu steak Wednesday special is divine. Theres a great variety of things that come with it. Super tasty and a lot a lot of food! So satisfying and filling-- worth the price!!I had the veg curry and tofu seafood salad.. both were sooo delicious.

One Of the Best Restaurants That You Can Find In Meclodganj Food Was Really nice Flavours Were Very Unique And Makes Your Taste Birds Excited Immediately Price Was Very Reasonable Custard Donut has to be eaten We Were Four Guys And We Ordered One Set Costs 250 INR And We Were Full They Have Really Nice Drinks Too Guava Chia Seeds Drink Is Must Try And The Owner Is Also Really Welcoming Nice And Helpful Really Satisfied With The Experience.

Nice and reasonably priced. Tempura with udon noodle is must try. Owner Auntie is soft spoken and pleasant. I dont know why people are calling her rude in their reviews.

The ambiance of the place is very cute and cozy.I enjoyed the food there a lot, such a great place to have a break from spicy and overcooked indian cuisine. Their tea is also very nice.I didnt give one star, because the menu is very limited and you are basically forced to have what they made for todays special.When we came the restaurant was empty, the only person who was present there was the owner, so we tried to have a conversation with him, but he was not very welcoming and eager to talk, which seemed a bit weird.As a bonus, after having a nice dinner we had to climb a hill with our tummies full as the place is situated very down the hill 😅😅

The only japanese restaurant youll find in this town. Located on your left on jogiwara road. This place serves Sushi, but only on Tuesdays and Fridays. So make sure you plan that ways. Their kombucha drink is a speciality, must have. Sushi was good, but we had it for the first time, so cannot really compare. But the entire Sushi set that has sauces,soups and vegetables with potatoes costs just INR 250! Thats incredibly cheap!

It’s so good to have a Japanese restaurant here, but the Sushi here is really terrible. Please do not try. Although restaurant ask every customer to use hand-sanitizer but seems that they don’t know how to clean the table. I thought that Japanese restaurant will be more cleaner compared to other restaurant around Mcleod. But I was wrong! The bread and dessert are really nice here. Unfortunately, the owner’s attitude is awful. And my one star is only for the bread and dessert.

I went this restaurant two times. The table was not clean and dirty. I can’t believe it is Japanese restaurant. and sushi did so bad don’t order this dish. This restaurant owner’s attitude was so bad. Only bread is delicious. I don’t suggest this restaurant.

Food was really salty. Omu rice had a burnt egg on top. Other than that food was okay. Really good fresh sourdough breads though.

Food is not as per expectation. Breads are must try in this restaurant. They serve very good , fresh and tasty breads at reasonable price. I can give 5 start for the bakrey products and 3 star for the Japanese food.

This place has been serving japanese food for the past 20 years. It has an old world charm about it which is the main appeal of the place it you ask me.The food served is truly authentic japanese and the cook is an ex japanes national and she cooks truly amazing vegetarian sushis (this place is fully vegetarian). Special mention for the Kombucha its really good.The owner of this restaurant Mr Sonam is a true gentleman and is an amazingly welcoming person.Lung Ta is one of the gems of the town and should be visited by everyone who loves Japanese Food.

We so sooo loved the food and how comforting this was in this weather, we came back in the morning to try out their special set meal of the day... The family who runs the restaurant are such warm people to talk to... The lady even gifted me a Manga (Considering my decent knowledge of Japanese comicsas a souvenir...At the end all I could say was "Aarigato Gozaimas" for such a beautiful experience...PS: They consider Egg as veg, so you have to specially mention if you dont want eggs in your order...

The views from the cafe were stunning, the food not as much unfortunately! It is a good choice for vegetarians none the less. They have a set menu and serve vegetarian sushi on Tuesdays & Friday’s. There are a lot of other places which are a lot better in comparison. Hence the rating. Was priced moderately. Can be skipped for sure.

Lovely Japanese food, daily specials, reasonable rates. We had the sushi special that comes with (very plainpotatoes, nice miso soup and salad for 240rs. Plenty of food, even to share if youre not too hungry. The curry we added as well is Japanese style, which cannot compare with Indian or Thai curries, but a generous portion for just 80rs. Large Japanese library, nice atmosphere.

Ive been coming here since 2007, and it never disappoints. I recommend coming on a Tuesday or Friday for their sushi (vegetarian), but the whole menu is good.

Open at 12 oclock . Very nice food. I vote for Omrice. Its 120 rupee. Everyday will have special meal with 240 rupee. I choose tofu in special meal so its just price 100 rupee. Serve very fast. Have outdoor. Sunday closed. And break time from 2p.m to 5p.m

Incredibly lovely little Japanese restaurant on the main road into Mcleodganj. Only a 5 minute walk from the main village square. Sober menu but fantastic food. Cosy Japanese interior, great calm and laid back atmosphere.

The only Japanese place in town and the only place in the area that will serve you from bringing the menu to paying the bill within half an hour. Very friendly staff and atmosphere as if you are visiting your friends house. Lots of books, magazines and comics to read while you eat and drink. Service is great! Food is amazing! We came here almost every other day while our 10 days stay in the area. The menu simple but consistently delicious!We’ve tried almost everything on the menu by the end of our stay there and not a single item has left us unsatisfied.If you are in McLeod Ganj definitely check them out! Everyone knows that place!Hands down one of the best ones in the area!

One of my favorite places in mcleod ganj. they have Amazing set meals that differ Everyday, delicious soups salads, fresh deserts, delicious tea.. the price is very reasonable and the service is excellent.The sushi is fresh and delicious.Its all vegetarian.

I was very exited about this place but was disappointed . As i had to visit 2 ti.es to get the food they have very strict timings for food serving 12 am - 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm so u have to visit according to their timings and the owner is little rude. The menu is very limited u have to eat what they have prepared specialy for that day.

Im realy impressed! On photo 2 sets 200/rs each. There are inside zone with 10 tables and outside zone with wonderful view. Must visit if you like japanese food!
